Tokyo Hotels near Ueno Park

The hotel is great and helped me experience my first trip to Japan with clean and spacious rooms. It has multiple types of rooms, and is great for bigger families.

We loved staying here & would highly recommend it especially for large families. The staff were warm & helpful.

This hotel is located near Skyliner Ueno station, so you can easily access this places from NRT airport (and vice versa).

Outstanding hotel in a good location (enjoyed the morning runs in nearby Ueno Park, among other things).

Great location close to Ueno station. Kappabashi area about a 15 min walk. Hotel seems to be a popular choice with non-Japanese guests. English speaking staff was very helpful.

The perfect distance from ueno station, with plenty of Izakaya within a few blocks, a train station a block away. While still feeling quiet and removed from all the noise and chaos of central Ueno.

Great room. Excellent location. Highly recommended for families. We had 2x adjoining rooms — plenty of room for 3x adults and 2x children, with two toilets and two showers.

We stayed at MIMARU Tokyo Ueno North for 8 days, and it truly became one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.
The location was excellent.

The room we stayed in was simple in its decor but more than made up with space. We stayed in a room with 4-single beds, which had plenty of space for us 4 adults and all of our luggage.

Comfortable room, although it was quite dark for us as we like a lot of daylight. The bed is very nice and there’s a good setup for working.

The staff was very friendly and always helpful, we used the laundry room which was very helpful.

Amazing hotel. The staff are fantastic and the location is perfect. It is nice and quiet and you have easy access to Ueno and the surrounding areas.

We had a very pleasant stay at Mimaru Tokyo Inaricho. The room was spacious and the location was perfect for exploring.

Fantastic hotel. Has a wonderful sento that overlooks the park. Nice big area to chill downstairs too. Nice clean aesthetic to the place.

Just got back from our second stay here with the whole crew (family of 5! ), and honestly, we love this place more every time.
But I have to shout out a major save.

Excellent location for a clean, no frills hotel. The rooms are small by western standards but the pictures do it justice.

Pros:
1) The location is fantastic. The Ueno station, Ueno Park and the Narita Skyline stations are all just a hop, skip and a jump away.

Very polite and courteous staff, room was a great size, clean, and well stocked. We used the washing machine which came with one packet of washing liquid.

Located near train stations, so it was convenient to travel to Tokyo's different prefectures.

Staff at the counters are very friendly and helpful. Im very grateful that they assisted and help us with the luggage transfer.

We are the visitors from Taiwan who stay the MONday Apart from Jan. 22~26. My wife got the serious vomiting and diarrhea at the first night.

Stayed at MONday Apart Ueno Shin-Okachimachi with my family (3 people) and had a very comfortable stay.
The room was spacious by Tokyo standards and never felt cramped, even over multiple nights.

This hotel is a part of a large chain of hotels in Tokyo. The location of this hotel is walking distance to the subway, ueno shopping street and of course to Akihabara as well.

Very clean. Front desk staff are lovely and helpful. Great location, many shops, restaurants etc. Close to the beautiful Ueno park and zoo. Rooms are tiny! Like so, so small.

It was a great hotel, close to the Oeno line, which meant transportation was easy and quick. The community around was quiet and lively, which meant it felt very safe to walk around.

First of all, very accommodating and welcoming for every guest (including foreigners and tourists).

Excellent location at a great price. The room was small although this was to be expected. The beds were mildly uncomfortable but manageable. The included breakfast was good.

My boyfriend and I love staying at Super Hotel Okachimachi! We've stayed in other hotels and airbnb's in the area before, but Super Hotel is the best.

Fantastic location for exploring the city. 5 mins walk to Okachimachi Stn, under 10mins for Ueno Stn. The walk to each is fascinating, always loads to see but not as manic as Shinbuya or Shinjuko.

We’re still here, and I’m already sad that we’ll have to leave in a few days.
This is truly the most wonderful place you’ll find in Tokyo—and we’ve been to Tokyo many times.

We was stajni for 5 nights in 6 person group in one room on 7th floor. It was really great. Price/quality ratio is at high level. Room was big, 2 beds and tatami mat.

This hotel is in a great location. It’s near train stations, attractions (Ueno Park, Ameyokocho etc. ), convenience stores, bars/restaurants, shops and a grocery (Takeya).

There's a lot of APA hotels scattered throughout Japan, but this location specifically is excellent. Largely due to its great location. The rooms are modern, clean and in a great neighborhood.

The hotel is conveniently located near the station. However, basic amenities such as toothbrushes, tea, and bottled water are not provided, so you have to buy them yourself.

We had a fantastic stay at Minn Ueno and would absolutely come back.

We had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Minn Ueno Shin-Okachimachi. Our group consisted of three adults and one infant, and the room was very comfortable and well-suited for a family.

This is a serviced apartment rather than a hotel so you can cook and wash/dry your clothes during your stay.
There are only 2 negatives. The small size. 4 of us barely fit in the room.

Very good location, close to the subway and train. Nearby shops and restaurants. Ueno Park and shopping streets within walking distance. Breakfast menu basic, but acceptable.

I had a wonderful stay at Dormy inn Ueno. Dormy inn Ueno offers incredible value with its unique perks like the bathhouse and evening ramen.

Room: small, as you may expect, but sufficient for one person. There's a small desk and closet area with a chair. Mini fridge was very helpful in managing food.

Great hub to explore Tokyo. Rooms have a decent size and are very clean. Staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive.

If you are a light sleeper, you must book a deluxe room so you are facing the back of the hotel.

Another reservation in APA chain and another nice experience. We stayed in this hotel for around a week. Everything was great.

We stayed at this hotel in Tokyo for a week and had a good overall experience. The location is excellent — not far from Ueno Station and with a metro stop literally around the corner.

16/10/25 — we always stay here when we are in ueno area. Yes, they are small and old. But for its age, the place is well maintained.
