Dormy Inn is one of my favourites hotel, maybe it's a little bit expensive, good location good service, very nice in house onsen, free noodle for each & every night.

Room is quite small but all kinds of intimate, breakfast than Otaru is really inferior, but can eat to full is. Location is also very good, unfortunately the price is not too great value.

Clean and compact room. Toilet is small but all necessities prepared. Good hot shower and bathtub. Love the air purifier in the room. Internet speed was fast. Breakfast was delicious.

Room was very clean and tidy. Didn't use th bathroom for shower since their Onsen was well equipped. Love the free Ramen gesture. Overall was great experience for a night stay in the city.

Since 2014, I have been staying in the Dormy Inn hotels In Japanese cities on many occasions. They offer free noodles in soups from 9.00pm — 11.00pm. They also have hot tubs with soft water. The Dormy Inn Ueno is within 10-15 minutes walk from the Ueno train terminus if you know the way. Finding a place on site is very different from finding a place on the map. This is particularly so as the direction North does not often appear on top of Japanese street maps. In addition to Japanese, the receptionist there speak better Mandarin than English. Breakfast coupons at Y900 can be brought before having it. I prefer that as I need not worry if I might wake up late and miss it. For the free noodles in soup on the late evenings, you can have more than one bowl. If you want to enjoy the public hot (and cold) tubs with privacy, there is hardly any soul around 1.00am. There is another underground train stop (1st stop from Ueno) about 3-minute walk from the Hotel.

Perfect. Dormy Inn is a chain of up-scale business hotels and they are fantastic. They offer delightful little sento baths, modern decor, and friendly, well trained staff. All this and yes, tiny rooms. However if you're familiar with Japan travel, tiny rooms are simply part of the deal. And having stayed in my share of tiny Japanese rooms, Dormy Inn's are wonderful. But understand, these are BUSINESS HOTELS, designed to cater to Japanese on business. If you're expecting resort accommodations, large rooms, and concierge services, then open your wallet and find somewhere else.

Great hotel. Nice and clean. The price is just right. Located near JR and subway. There's also shopping street ameyoko around the corner. At night there's izakaya and beer bars you can visit. Also there's free ramen every night!
