Tokyo Hotels near Honryuji Temple

Very much enjoyed this hotel! Quieter area outside the city. Very close to ikebukuru station — maybe 6-7 blocks. Lawsons and 7-11 feet away.

Everything in the room was perfect! But I personally find the bed too hard and the pillows too soft.

It's pretty nice considering we really only sleep there. The onsen bath was really nice and hot. In fact hottest I have ever experienced. Very convenient location. Nice and clean and straight forward.

Booking two twin rooms for four nights in this hotel.
As the hotel explain there is only one twin room in on level, we had to be different level.

This is a great little hotel near station. Nicely decorated for a 3 star, unique vibes, front desk excellent, warm, cosy and clean rooms. Has excellent laundry facilities.

What a wonderful experience. The location from the nearest station Ikebukuro station is less than 10 mins walk.

I loved our stay at this hotel in Ikebukuro! Here are my pros & cons:
Pros:
• Good size for a room in Tokyo! We had plenty of space to get packed up at the end of our trip.

The whole staff has been very kind. The location is perfect, near the heart of Ikebukuro and with plenty of restaurants, konbini, and shops nearby.

This a JR hotel Gem that maybe not many people will choose for a first choice, but this is a very convinient hotel with many necessites nearby.

The hotel was the best one we stayed in on our 3 week trip in Japan. The location and its proximity to Mejiro station plus the local restaurants within walking distance is a game changer.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The price is very reasonable and it comes with breakfast. Breakfast is just toast, coffee and soup but its a good start to the day.

This is my second time to stay in a Sakura Hotel in Tokyo, but first time here in Ikebukuro branch. Still did not disappoint.

Everything about my stay was fantastic. The hotel looks great from the kerbside and inside doesn’t disappoint. The staff are great.

I had such a pleasant stay at Super Hotel Premier Ikebukuro Natural Spring and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

I had a great stay at Tokyu Stay. The location was very convenient, with easy access to the subway and plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

Had a wonderful stay at Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro! The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. It’s conveniently located near the train station, making it super easy to get around Tokyo.

Great hotel 2 minutes walk from Ikebukuro east exit. Del style was a great hotel with loads of great amenities that available at the 3rd floor reception.

I stayed here for 8 nights total in January/february 2026.
Rooms: rooms were standard Japanese hotel that were clean and well laid out. However I wish that there was a larger room option.

Great location in the quiet area of ikebukuro but still a short walk to any food you may require. Very big rooms for Japan too! Would stay here again.

I had initially wanted to gatekeep this place but that would be a disservice to the hotel and its staff.

Had a wonderful stay at Hisoca Hotel. The room was cosy and spacious, complete with a bathtub and mist sauna.

Kimi Ryokan was the best of 4 different hotels that I stayed during my recent trip to Japan. This property offers amazing value.

From the moment we arrived at Kimi Ryokan, it felt like a little home-away-from-home.

Ikebukuro is a great hub: 1) It's just off the beaten path which means you can relax and not feel overwhelmed by the population density.

The room was nice with some space to move around. The kitchen was minimal but sufficient. The in room laundry was wonderful. Cloth drying racks were on the deck, so it worked perfectly.

The room is small, compact, quiet, comfortable, well thought out, has all the amenities.

I really enjoyed my stay. Room was great and very comfortable. Its right by a lot of great restaurants and convenience stores. Safe area and it's close to Don Quijote too.

Second time here, booked a twin room this time, was more spacious and nicer than the first time when I booked a single room.

Very good location. 5-7 mins walk to the Ikebukuro Station. Ikebukuro is 1 station away from Shinjuku. You can find a lot of good eats around the area.

If you keep in mind that the rooms are japanese standard size, I think its a great deal for what you get for the money. Im 187cm and had no problems moving around or taking a shower.

Recently stayed here for a week and the experience was great. Prices were great for the location and size. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Extremely friendly and helpful owners, spacious clean rooms with nice amenities, coin laundry right next door, genuinely the best place ive stayed at 10/10 would stay again.

The room was on the small side, but it still felt comfortable and easy to settle into. What stood out most for me was the staff — they were welcoming and genuinely helpful throughout my stay.

Nice hotel with location quite close to Ikebukuro Station. There are elevators behind the 1-way escalator and there is a very nice self-service luggage storage room with number lock.

My family of 3 stayed here for 2 nights, good value hotel. The tatami/futton bed are quite comfortable and room have good heating during the cold nights. Necessities are all provided.

This place is very good if you want something cheap and well located in Ikebukuro.
The common areas are very clean and the staff are very kind.

I stayed here for over a week, both alone and with friends, in a total of three different rooms.
