Tokyo Hotels near Honryuji Temple

This hotel is outstanding! Staff takes hospitality to a high level making you feel welcome. A great start for my solo trip in Japan.

Kaminarimon Ryokan was such a fabulous place to stay. The view over the Kaminarimon Gate was amazing, especially at night when we could sit in our room and enjoy a little people-watching below.

Our family of four recently stayed at Mimaru Suites Asakusa Station in a Two-Bedroom Suite, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience.

The staff were accommodating and kind, and the room was nice. The room included air conditioning and heat, controlled by an easy remote.

As a first time female solo traveler I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Better signage to this building might be useful as we saw a few couples getting lost as they could not find the entrance or they went to the main hotel.

We had a family room with a river view, both were excellent.

I am so pleased to stay in Mimaru Tokyo Asakusa Station. The staff are so nice, friendly, accommodative and attentive. We stayed there for a total of nine nights.

Booking this hotel was the best decision I made. At the time I was torn between booking this one and the red colored chain hotel in front of Asakusa station.

Very clean hotel and the staff were friendly. The location is great with the Skytree right across the street and the trains easily accessible.

Had a great and comfortable stay! I got a room with 2 twin beds, which was bigger than your typical Tokyo shoebox room (APA hotels). Enough space to feel comfortable and leave your suitcases open.

It was my first time visiting Tokyo from 14–19 February 2026.

Room was quite small normal in hotels in Tokyo. The staff was great and very friendly. The location is very near to Asakusa Ginza line only 5 mins walk, also near to 7-11 and Daily convenient stores.

Everything was beautiful and spotlessly clean.
The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient for the metro, shopping, temples, and restaurants. Everyone was extremely polite.

Great location. Hotel is nice too. Food we did not explore but good restaurants around the area. We had the room with a view of Tower and Senso-ji temple. Really loved our place.

First Hotel after landing in Narita 12 hour flight. Lobby was welcoming and receptionist very friendly, spoke English which helped us being so new here. Very close to Train line, easy to access.

Very walkable to Asakusa station. Choose exit A2B for elevator if you have luggages. Staffs are very friendly and nice. We stayed 3 nights here.

Great place to stay on a budget. Clean, accessible and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. I stayed in a single room which is perfect size for one person traveling with small luggage.

Booked a single non smoking room with shower for 1 night on Expedia due to its proximity to senso-ji and the asakusa train station. The lobby is on the 13th floor and has a beautiful view of Asakusa!

We stayed here for 2 nights over 1 Jan. They had NY specials like free soba and jazz night on NY Eve and sunrise watching, free sake, lion dance, mochi pounding by Sumo wrestlers, free soup etc.

Lovely staff, clean and neat. Decent fitout, alot of custom work went into this. (Carpenter talking).

2nd time we have Stayed here at Andon. Taka is a wonderful host. Amazing breakfast, comfy rooms, warm showers, great location. Super clean, very well run Ryokan. Can't wait to come back!

Small hotel in a great location. We stayed for 1 night. Room turned out to be a bit bigger than expected from the pictures.

1. This is my second stay at your hotel.

The hotel is basic but provided us what we needed when we arrived in Tokyo. That is, somewhere to sleep and call home base as we did many things in the city.

This was our first hotel in Japan and they've set our expectations for the rest. Spotlessly clean room with very comfortable beds.

Very small rooms with futon type mattress on a platform. Great for solo. It had two futons side by side. You have to crawl out of the bed. Bathroom is small but adequate. Rooftop view is amazing.

Very close to stations. The room is great. Not too spacious, but enough to have two people lying down on the floor comfortably. Got specialized spaces for luggages underneath the bed.

This hotel exceeded my expectations for the room size. Our room could easily accommodate four pieces of luggage.

Situated close to the temple of Asakusa. Rooms are small but manageable for the price.

The location is brilliant — we loved the proximity to the Sensoji Temple and took full advantage of the opportunity to make the 5 minute walk there before breakfast, to experience the tranquil early

Super clean and roomy, loved staying here! The area is quiet which is a plus and its a nice walk to get around to places. Around 7 mins to the train.

This is a hotel on the “small” side, but it’s amazing how cozy, inviting and bed & breakfast vibes it can get.

Had a fantastic stay at Asakusa Kokono Club Hotel. The location is great—on a quiet street but still very close to the famous Sensō-ji Temple.
