I stayed at Washington hotel in shinjuku when I traveled to Japan in 2017, the staff are friendly, also I would like to personally thank a guy who accompanied us from the train station going back to the hotel by walking a complete stranger who is not fluent in English, he is remarkable, my wife and I wish to thank this guy for that wonderful experience, thank you for bringing us back to our hotel safe and sound.

Friendly staff today and the rooms are a lot better than last week.

This restaurant has a problem for the breakfast seat limitation, so many clients cannot take a breakfast cos this problem, at least this hotel give a solution for take away food for clients, I hope there is a great improment for this bad service for the breakfast …

Had a great time staff where very nice. Location excellent. Close to everything. Played the pokies at ground level, had no idea what I was doing m, thought I won big when I had to go to a special place to collect and I received the gold packs, then had to go to another floor to cash them in I thought I would need an escort out of there! But no a grand total of Around $30 AUD and a couple of cookies. But good story to remember. Everything you need is in this building and in the B1 floor Great bar and staff.

Tiny rooms, but good value for money given its location and proximity to Shinjuku station. Directly connected to the airports by limousine bus, so very easy to get to. If you're not going to spend much time in your room and want to be centrally located, then this place is a good option. But if you want space for more than your bed and one suitcase, I'd recommend looking elsewhere!

An excellent hotel in a good location. The restaurants are great, and the breakfasts are some of the best I've had. The room was a good size for one person and the bed was very comfy. I just wish I had storage space for my clothes. Kept them in my rucksack for a week, I only had a small space with 4 coat hangers where I hung the shirts that I had worn.

The room was small considering it’s a double bed room and the bed were are very hard. I didn’t mind considering I barely stayed in the hotel because I was always out. They clean and restock daily toiletries. I really like that they had a floor where only women could access. The hotel had an underground route that goes to the subway/metro. The restaurant located inside the hotel pretty good as well the restaurant located in the annex was my favorite.

Very comfortable and practical room, it's small but everything you need is there and more. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, very close to a shopping area, and 10 minutes walk to Shinjuku train station. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a very well located Hotel with excellent access to rail transport. The district is mostly modern with good green curbs lined with trees and modern pathways and crosswalks. There are restaurants and lanes in the area that have plenty of great Japanese food on offer. The Hotel building has plenty of small restaurants and a family mart for buying those little items and drinks that are needed for outings. The reception Staff on the 3rd floor where you book in are helpful and polite in a way that only the Japanese can manage. The rooms are compact, neat clean, well laid out, the living space is brilliantly thought out. The bathroom is a completely modern a self contained unit. Utilitarian is the description most describe these rooms. But you don’t need anything more for your Tokyo stay and if you do, easy just pay more and stay in more luxurious accommodation. This Hotel has been a good option for this family of five, utilising two rooms and with an option to breakfast at 5 different restaurants, couldn’t be better, we chose to breakfast on the 25th top floor offering great views of the city. So my report is extremely positive have had a great stay.

The room was small. Not suit for big lugage. The shower also small. Difficult to move around. The aircon is cold but no tempature setting. The bed was comfy. The light was all yellow, So abit uncomfortable. Overall. Is not a resort. Its more for business uses. I will not recommend for family with kids. But couple is still Ok.

Rooms are small, but have everything you could possibly need or want. Small fridge, TV, lots of plug ins, full sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, items you might have forgotten to pack like razors and toothbrushes with paste. Toilet and shower nice. Robes, slippers are provided. Several restaurants for breakfast and shops and ample restaurants for dinner on property. Centrally located near train station.

Good lodgings. Japanese-sized standard room. My over 6' frame fit on the bed. Snoozed soundly. Has all the amenities. We watched the Prince Harry wedding on BBC (with Japanese voice over). A/C is centrally controlled: We had no issues. No gym: But why bother with so much going on outside.

Once you arrive at the airport, you can make your way to the bus booking desk and through there you can request tickets that are around $13 (cad) to shuttle you directly to this hotel. Once you arrive, you make your way to the lobby and with friendly English speaking staff it’s super easy. The rooms aren’t super spacious but they’re considerably big for Tokyo. They also have “all female” floors dedicated to women travelling alone or in pairs. Just specify when you book or state your preference. On the floors that are “all female” they have security doors that you need to scan your card on in order to access and through there you scan your card again to enter your room. It’s super cool and makes you feel a lot safer if that’s a concern. Once your trip is over, you can book a shuttle back to the airport that picks you up right in front of their doors! This place is honestly my go-to hotel and it’s one of the better once I’ve been to. It’s great for the price and I highly recommend it!

Clean, with a variety of great restaurants to choose from for breakfast. A bit old, with few amenities, though.

We found Shinjuku Washington Hotel to be convenient as a jump-off point for daily tours. Starting point for the Mt Fuji tour was a short 10-minute walk while the Tokyo Morning Tour started off from the main hotel's lobby. Our room at the annex is a good-size, about 22 sqm. The twin beds are comfortable and bathroom amenities high quality — Shiseido. Bottled water is provided everyday and there is a small ref. Cotton bathrobes are also available. The annex has a coin-operated laundry room, which we found convenient. There are a Family Mart, a Mini-Stop and a pharmacy in the main hotel. We had teppanyaki steak dinner at Fujita in the annex — simply superb! Grade A4 wagyu grilled by the chef in front of you. Good house sparkling wine, too. The daily breakfast, included in our room rate, is our one disappointment with this hotel. We've had both Western and Chinese — both were blah. That said, we had a great stay here. And will definitely come back next time we're in Tokyo. Rating would be 4.5 star. Arigato gozaimas, Shinjuku Washington Hotel.

Our room and hallway temperature was too warm, but it was centrally controlled by the hotel and we could not adjust to our comfortable level. We took 2 stars out. Bathroom is a pre-fabricated plastic module, do not expect marble. However, it is clean and very nice with Shiseido amenities.

Rooms not very large but equipped with everything, including kettle and tea bags, and instant coffee. Bathroom Piccoloa Overall comfortable, obviously no bidet, which is integrated into the WC.

Great location with a convenience store at the first floor. The hotel also allows guests to purchase airport limousine tickets to the airports while checking in. Do book a double guest room as the rooms for a single guest can be small. Value for money. You also have the option to choose smoking or non smoking floors. Cons of this place: the ac can be a little stuffy but otherwise great value for money.

The good choice of Tokyo free travel, for me, is the choice of the Tokyo shopping trip test several times after fixing down. The most important is the convenient traffic, it is close to Shinjuku station, walk about 15 minutes to, to Jinggang outlet's direct train is from the South Station, so you can most efficiently go straight to outlet. Shinjuku Station is located in the direction of the West, there are many meals, BIC camera or Yodobashi is also near, are walking can be. Airport can also directly take the limousine bus to the door, to the airport is also available from the hotel entrance, and the hotel has a limousine bus ticket, to ensure that there is a location. At the door there is the We bus point of pickup, 100 yen directly to the BIC camera or station, buy things can also direct ride back to the hotel. The big-country drug store is also in the middle of the station and hotel area, now there are two, so the common Japanese shopping target can be quickly arrived, buy can quickly get back to the hotel. Hotel rooms are small, but a squeeze is enough to pack your bags.

We — a group of three adults — stayed 7 nights in a non-smoking Triple Room. The hotel is 15 minutes by foot from Shinjuku Station (South and West Exit are the same distance) and conveniently located. The room was spacious, luminous and clean. The beds were a little too hard for us. Sometimes we could hear our very loud neighbors in the room next door which was quite unpleasant. The bathroom was small but offered great water pressure and very hot water. There was also a hair dryer and loads of amenities which were replaced daily. Unfortunately we couldn’t open the windows and there was quite a lot of moisture and mold on the window frames as well as in the air conditioning. The air conditioning is centrally regulated and you can only choose the fan power.

Great location and rooms had the basic things needed They are very small though My pillows were awful! Rooms are clean and amenities are all fine but overpriced for what you get.

The hotel although not in the area we say strategic as visual is very convenient to reach. Rooms clean and also large compared to Japanese standards (we took a double room), closets area and bathroom. Great Internet connection both Wi-Fi and Wired. Some small problem during the connection in the hours we say tip, justify by the large number of rooms available, but still acceptable. Minibar and armchairs in the room. Staff always polite.

For the value and what it offers, it is a good place to stay. Rooms are quite small and tight. However, the amenities were good. I love the fact that the rooms have USB outlets — is one less worry to have the proper electrical plug for Japan. Breakfast is good, there were five restaurants to choose from.

The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Our room was barely bigger than the double bed, but it was comfortable. Many amenities were included and we appreciated the electric kettle which we used to make our cup noodles from the convenience store downstairs. It was very quiet and we got a good night's sleep. We will be staying there again next month.

It is a very used business hotel, not bad mind you, but you don't expect anything extraordinary, in favor it has the price is the location is clean but like most hotels in Japan, the rooms are tiny.

I really liked the location, close to the train station. The room was a bit small, but alright. I liked how we had most of our toiletries available, refrigerator, and a hot water pot. The relaxation room was great and I liked having a laundry room. Yes, I would stay here again.

We expected the rooms to be small so that's not really the problem. This was indeed the smallest room I've ever stayed in (even smaller than a small cruise cabin or liveaboard room). Perhaps I could have lived with the size of the room except for the fact that it was SO hot! The windows did not open and despite air con being a listed amenity on the site we used, they do not have air con but rather have the temperature controlled centrally for the whole building therefore leaving our tiny, hot room also feeling incredibly stuffy. I looked forward to getting out of there every day since I started feeling claustrophobic (and I do not suffer from claustrophobia). If you can't sleep in a hot room without any ventilation, this is not the place for you. I should mention, they did provide us a fan, but it simply wasn't enough especially since it shut off automatically every couple of hours (and you have to manually restart it) which is not ideal when trying to sleep. Perhaps it wouldn't have been as bad if the windows were able to open, but this stay was awful. I would never stay here again… and the bed was uncomfortable as well. There are likely better budget options in the area and I would strongly recommend you go with one of those instead. as a note, their hotel amenities list air conditioning. It's not listed as a seasonal amenity. It's listed as an amenity… meaning it is available for use at any time.

The counter is very uncomfortable, the room is hot and the oven is five, and it's not going to sleep. If you need one, you can borrow the electric fan.

You have to go with time for the entrance and exit because it is very large and there may be queues. Bus service to Narita Airport.

Great location with access to the subway as well as airport limo bus service right at the front of the hotel. Remember to book your bus tickets in advance in case there are many people using the limo. The annex have newer room design and the room size seems to be bigger than the main building. But the main building has convenience stores and restaurants that you can choose to have your meals.

Pretty comfy place but a bit old. Still well maintained but rooms get a bit too warm during winter.

The location is convenient whereby you have a subway line and can be access directly via an underpass, though the walk might be slightly long. Just around the corner, you're able to walk towards shinjuku. Great service and quick responses to request!

The location is convenient with underpass directly linked to train station. Hotel is basic. Bathroom is considerably small. The air-conditioning system within the room happened to be faulty during my stay.

A modern hotel, with a cafeteria with excellent views and good food, that if there is barely any natural ventilation in the rooms, they are a little small, but I guess it is Tokyo.

New Year's trip. Due to the time problem set 18 square meters smoking room, to the shop after the unexpected discovery almost no smoke flavor, very good. Toilet is monolithic, especially clean, bath hot water is particularly good. There is an underground passageway through the Shinjuku station on the ground floor of the hotel, which is a 10-minute walk away. The bed was very soft, the room was very quiet, the rest effect is very good. The beauty is that opening air conditioning at night will feel cold, if you want to warm some better do not open.

Service staff work is very in place, surprised is the front desk has China's hometown, service attitude is really good, is the room is too small, sorry.

Nice hotel, but I was glad we didn't have a suitcase because it would not have fit in the room. Seriously small. Also, there was no place to sit in any of the lobby areas. OK, so I understand that they need to control the space, but zero chairs is really draconian. Sometimes you need to step out to make a call late at night or read the paper early in the morning. Not here. You do it in your room or you don't do it at all.

Amazing restaurant inside.

Once in the room there is a pungent smell of sleep to the quilt has a smell of smoke sensitive to smell, so unpleasant.

This hotel is conveniently located, not too far from the massive Shinjuku station. Everything seems to function well, very clean, friendly service, no-frills, reasonably priced and practical in all respects, though the room can be rather small not too different from stateroom cabin on a cruise ship, can be too warm and stuffy in the winter for the windows cannot be opened. Lots of good restaurants in the building if one is too lazy or tired to venture out. All in all, it is a very nice hotel without the "bells and whistles" that most travellers do not need anyway but have to pay for.

For anyone who won't be spending much time in their hotel room except to sleep, this hotel is terrible. The mattresses are hard as rock and the pillows are either flat as paper or have a weird chunky consistency. It was impossible to get a good night' sleep. The hotel does have really nice restaurants and shops, and has a good location, but since I was always out and about on my trip taking tours and everything, it didn't matter. I barely got any sleep while I was here and was exhausted and cranky during my whole stay. I will not stay at this hotel again.

The room was spacious but in need of a renovation. Bathroom fixtures were dated and air conditioning didn't quite work or was ineffective.

Good hotel in excellent location to access the stations. The hotel was equipped with everything you could need (machine to change money, family Mart on the first floor, restaurants etc) However, in my case I asked for a non-smoking room and when I delivered it it smelled like a cigar.

Location is nice, only thing I dislike was the size of toilet.

The hotel is located within a complex containing several restaurants and a convenience store, very convenient and close to the Shinjuku subway.

Place is very accessible for the price with just a few minutes walk to Shinjuku station. They have a convenience store within the hotel and vending machines nearby. The place is very clean with good Wi-Fi, though the place is a bit small (though such should be expected for hotels in Tokyo). We stayed for a couple of days with inclusive breakfast and was delighted to have 5 restaurant options in the hotel. Staff understands and speaks english very well so communication was no problem.

It tends to be crowded because it leaves the bus limousine to Narita. It is inside a mini mall and the restaurants on the last floors are very good.
It is usually a mess in the elevator due to the high occupancy, so you have to leave with time margin.

Hotel is a bit old but well maintained. Spacious, tidy and clean room. Daily room cleaning ladies do number One job. There are many restaurants within the building. We love the top floor breakfast the most. Looking through the glass walls, the Tokyo City buildings are right in front. The view is excellent, so is the breakfast. We like the location of the hotel. Besides being one of the major stop of the airport shuttle bus, it is only a 5~10 mins walk to the Shinjuku center, where people & shops are abundant. Nearest subway station is only 5 mins from the hotel. Last but not the least, the hotel lobby staffs are super and friendly and always smiling. We love our stay and will return.

It's cool. Only small numbers.

Very reasonable prices. It's well within walking distance from Shinjuku station's west exit. The rooms are very small but they have all the basic amenities; shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand and facial soap, toothbrush, blow drier. There's a small fridge but no minibar. There's a convenience store open 24 hours on the first floor. The check-in went smoothly, and there are automated machines for check-out if you don't need to pay anything extra. There are coin lockers you can use free of charge for 12 hours after checking out. The hotel has parking but they don't validate even if you stay in the hotel.

The restaurants near it are very good. The room's power turns on with your key card, as does the elevator buttons. Very nifty. However the rooms are as small as a regular small room in a cruise, about 240-280 sqft. Small for some people, but not bad.

Well I found this hotel not so much of a great deal… It's well located (less than 10min walk from Shinjuku station) but rooms are rather small, clean though. Bathrooms are really small… That's really a weak point for me. Breakfast are good, especially the one of Manhattan restaurant.

Stay away, very small rooms without closet very hot and no possibility to regulate the air conditioning and open the windows, also the rooms should be renovated in some there was the mold.

Everywhere is visibly dusty. The room is not worth the amount you have to pay. This hotel needs a renovation.

Dinner at fishing restaurant. Fish swim around a small internal river course in this restaurant. Armed with a rod, you are encouraged to catch your own fish which can then be cooked in a variety of styles. Genuinely delicious fresh fish experience and inexpensive too.

We went for dinner at Zauo fishing restaurant. The hotel is very convenient because it is connected underground to the train station.

Solid hotel in Tokyo. Very conveniently located by the Shinjuku districnt and subway station with some tourist locations around the hotel as well. The underground tunnels can be confusing once you hit Shinjuku. Plenty of restaurants under the hotel along with a small convenience store for a quick bite to get you ready for the day. The room itself was small by North American standards but pretty much normal for the territory. The rooms do have AC which is nice if you're sharing a hotel room. The bathrooms were certainly cozy but seemed clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel room is clean but very small compared to the price we paid. It is situated near MRT Station/Shopping Centres but the walk to the Shinjuku Station is at least 10 min. The Hotel uses centralised AC and will be adjusted according to the temperature outside which is not very ideal. There is airport bus directly from the hotel to the airport, mainly the reason we choose this hotel.

Excellent starting point for excursions around Tokyo and surrounding areas. Super breakfast with panoramic views of the city. Rooms quite comfortable for families. Staff courteous and helpful.

The hotel's best part is that it is in Shinjuku and a fast 10 minute walk to the huge Shinjuku station. Whilst the decor in places is a bit tired and the rooms are small, the staff are all really helpful and good. Having breakfast in the too floor Manhattan bar gives a great view. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Very nice located, near Shinjuku Station. My single room was small but equipped with every confort. The cleaning service is excellent. Reception is on the 1st floor: express check-out is perfect for those in a hurry.

The Shinjuku Washington hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Well situated with restaurants and a food mart located in the same building. The rooms are nice and simple. They supply all manner of amenities including toothbrushes, tooth paste, hair brushes, slippers, tea, shampoo and conditioner. I really enjoyed my stay.

For the money you're paying you can't really complain. Not that there's anything to complain about. It's a 3 star hotel, after all. The staff is nice and will do their best to help. Your best bet is to go in person when you have a problem instead of calling them since their English isn't perfect. Which is not the end of the world! If you need directions to any place in Tokyo area then the information desk will help you get there. Rooms are fine. Clean and "intimate". I mean are you planning to stay in the room that much when you're in Tokyo? I didn't think so. I am 100% ok with them not having a swimming pool or a fitness center It does the job, you sleep, you wake up and you go! There's a convenience store in the building open 24hrs for any thing that you might need, anytime. There's a fridge in room if you'd like to put anything there. You have to use TV to connect to the internet, I know sounds odd. There should be an English instruction sheet by the TV on how to get connected. If not then you can call them and ask for one! Also there are few restaurants in the building. I've tried their cafe "Bonjour" but it wasn't all that. There is a Japanese restaurant there. I went there one day and it was really good. No English menu and staff barely speaks it but there are pictures! I'm glad I took a chance with it. I read many reviews before booking here and everyone loved how that it's right by the Shinjuku station and you won't even have to leave underground for it. But.

It is not bad. But there seems to be much attention for foreigners. Water pressure is fantastic.
