Absolutely the best hotel to see mt fuij.

Love their hospitality. I told staff that my concept of stay is do nothing and enjoy a time with my friends. I brought my fav cava and champagne and requested extra glasses to share with my friends who visited me. Timing and service was just perfect.
Also my package included breakfast. Usually Park Hyatt provide very nice buffet but due to Covid, buffet was closed. As alternative, they served nice Japanese breakfast at room. I was pampered.

It has been the second time I come to Park Hyatt Tokyo for the afternoon tea. The tea set is wonderful, with so many finger food provided. Moreover, it is a great and peaceful environment for watching the sunset. Overall, the experience is great.

Only here for 2 nights. Beautiful hotel with views of Tokyo from the restaurants. Convenient location in the heart of Shinjuku. We got a suite which, by US standards is massive, much less for Tokyo where every square foot is a premium price! Gorgeous and very luxurious. Hotel staff is very polite and helpful, which is the case in all of Japan. That is their culture.

An amazing hotel with a view to match. I can also recommend the Manhattan Grill due to the amazing food and service. Rooms are specious and the staff always go the extra mile to help.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Service was top notch and they went the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay including helping us with reservations at a fantastic sushi restaurant. Also a plus that this hotel and its 47th floor indoor pool and workout area were heavily featured in “Lost in Translation. ” We’d definitely stay here again.

My go to hotel in Tokyo, amazing views, fantastic location and an excellent place for an extended stay in Tokyo. I was really happy with the room and I had plenty of space to stretch out!

I was beyond impressed. I would jump at the opportunity to stay here again. Hospitality was truly shown at the Park.

Amazing hotel.
Love this hotel. The staff is so friendly, the rooms are very spacious, location in Shinjuku is perfect and the views are just what you want for your Tokyo holiday.
You can even see Mount Fuji on a clear day.
Breakfast is amazing. New York Grill is an experience in itself. Just like “Lost in Translation”. Lovely food, lovely live music and great tasty food.
Head chef Stefan is very friendly.

The staff all spoke very good English, and were helpful in answering our questions. Prices for food and drinks can be a little steep, but you're paying for the atmosphere and experience. Stunning view of Tokyo at night, and excellent music was also present. The wait staff was very attentive as well and accommodating to our requests. All in all, an excellent experience. I would visit again.

Hotel has an amazing entrance. But if you don't take a taxi it could be a bit confusing to find. The Shinjuku tower building doesn't really show clear directions. And they close the side entrance after certain hours. The hotel is beautiful. Amazing views, great service, comfortable, kind and attentive staff. Expensive even for on tap beer. But the cocktails are well mixed.

EXCEPTIONAL STAFF make this hotel; some trainees in breakfast learning the ropes but nothing to complain about. Rooms becoming ever so slightly tired, but don't let that put you off. The views are stunning. Mandarin Oriental or Park Hyatt? Park Hyatt every time.

Before we went to tokyo we were told by a friend to visit this bar and have a cocktail. We arrived without a reservation but the staff still obligingly sat us at a fantastic table overlooking tokyo where we got to watch the sun go down. We planned to stay for just a drink, but ended up staying for several along with the burger. I have never spent so much on a burger in my life but my god was it worth it. I didn't expect a massive amount going in, but as I left I thought this will truly be one of my favourite experiences in Tokyo, one I will remember forever and one I would recommend anyone to try! Thanks to the lovely staff in the NY grill. My hats off to you!

Spacious room and friendly staff. The check-in experience was unique in a tearoom-like area. Family and young kids friendly. The New York Grill was great, though the steak style unexpectedly came in a thin slice of a plate-size cut. The kids toys and snacks in the room were nicely prepared.

I booked a 55 square meters' room on the 52th floor. Additional 5000 yen was charged for selection of higher floor room. The bed was very big and comfortable, the city view was also very wonderful. I liked the big bathtub and enjoyed bathing. I also had the chance to go to the New York bar in the same building. An unforgettable night. Highly recommended.

New York Bar — Amazing bar with amazing staff and if you have a taste for jazz then amazing music too! All topped with an unmatched view of the city; especially at night time. Beautiful. — Fantastic wine selection! — There is much more to say but you must experience it for yourself.

Great breakfast at Girandolle Restaurant.

Tokyo is a great five-star hotel, the entrance on the 2 floor to take the elevator to the 41 floor, there is a coffee dining area, there is a buffet breakfast restaurant, and reception center. Along the road there is a district to decorate a variety of books and world maps and globes. More than 42 floors are rooms, rooms are spacious, there is a small living room, TV refrigerator, wild have a variety of wine and drinks to pay for. Bathroom dry and wet separation, bathtub is very large. The view was great because of the condescension.

Park hyatt locations are know to be ritzy, and this doesn't disappoint. Rooms are spacious and well laid out. Service are almost too nice. The bar on the 52nd floor has great views of the city. Only thing to note is the entrance/exit is a little weird. Minimum 2 elevators and 1 flight of stairs to get to your room, and only the front entrance is open late at night. Otherwise, if you can afford it, this is a great place. P. S. I stayed here on a credit card bonus, so it was otherwise more expensive than I would normally go for.

A great stay at the Park Hyatt Tokyo! The helpful staff helped us find our way around town. Dinner upstairs at the New York restaurant was perfect. I highly recommend if you are visiting Tokyo.

Brilliant view in the NewYorkBar.

Good but a bit pricey compared to the competition. The restaurants are all excellent, the NY Grill is top, the French at 42nd (if my memories are good) and very friendly when you are away from France. Not tested the Japanese restaurant of the hotel, because I was looking for the famous sushi bar, you know, the little greasy spoon in the entrance of an underground car park that seems to a Michelin star. The room was clean and the staff very friendly. One star less for the price.

We checked in for one night on a rainy day, and were treated so courteously and wonderfully by Park Hyatt Tokyo's staff. Our room was upgraded to the Deluxe Room, and it was spectacular—very spacious, notwithstanding the fact that this is in Tokyo; deep bathtub with Aesop amenities and bath salt; a small TV in the bathroom; and a really large walk-in closet. The indoor swimming pool on the 47th floor was heated—robes, towels, and water bottles were provided by the attendant. The sauna / jacuzzi are in the spa area (45th floor), which you'll have to pay ¥4, 200 per person to have access to (which is one of the only few cons). Since it was raining we just spent nearly the entire day in the hotel, something we've never done. This was such an incredibly memorable stay for the both of us.

The rooms were beautiful and the location was great! My main complaint is with something that is culturally Japanese, which is they allow smoking indoors in many places, meaning that even in our non-smoking room, the outer hallway smelled like smoke. The hotel bar, likewise, was filled with smokers. I kind of expected it to be non-smoking for some reason, so I didn't go back because I didn't want to stink and also it's difficult to breathe in. The elevator situation was also kind of like navigating a 3D labyrinth. But these are just facts about the hotel or Japan, and ultimately I really enjoyed my stay.

A must for those who loved lost in translation!

I love the hotel dining, NY Grill — the gorgeous and creative dishes that always go beyond your expectation. You also won’t miss any precious of Tokyo from the widow. I love the delicatessen, the ground floor cafe, my most favourite terrace cafe in Tokyo. The sky, the trees, the light from sunshine and even the shadows. The perfect uva tea. Delicious dishes too. You can go to the outside terrace of delicatessen with your pets with leashes. Enjoy your sky and the taste of quality tea time in the beautiful small “valley” of Tokyo city in the fresh air. I’ve never stayed at the hotel mainly because there have never been chance to stay: Shinjuku is my former neighborhood and I was born in Tokyo and have been living in Tokyo. But I imagine the hotel would give great time that would be very much worth to experience to add quality of your travel in Tokyo, I definitely believe so.

New York Bar is my favorite restaurant in the world. The ambiance can't be beat. This time we arrived at around 10pm on a Saturday, which was unsurprisingly busy. As we were not hotel guests, the wait was about 20 mins get in, which was fine. When we did get in, we were seated in slower level area, away from music. Thankfully, after some polite persistence, we were able to move to the upper area when a seat became available. If you are seated in the lower level, I would recommend requesting to wait longer in order to sit in the main bar area. Its worth it.

An incredible hotel stay. The Park Hyatt is a modern throw back to the old glamor of staying at hotels. The service is impeccabile. Our room was spacious with views over the Tokyo skyline. The real gem here is the bar on the top floor that serves cocktails and has a jazz band that plays later on. You will have an amazing Tokyo experience if you stay here.

The Park Hyatt is an excellent location for business and leisure. While it's access is a bit remote from Tokyo's city center, customers get compensated by excellent service and an unforgettable architectural experience, including grand views of the cityscape and Mount Fuji. Culinary services and choices are great, and the ambiente will suit private expectations as well as business needs. High-end accommodation, highly recommended!

Definitely one of the finest hotels in Tokyo. Great location and great views from the rooms，pool and gym，Peak lounge and Peak bar，and of course from the New York Grill & Bar. Even before your arrival, you already get the feeling that the entire team is genuinely working hard to fulfill every single need of its guests. Even when they cannot meet a particular request，you really do feel that they are really sorry and they quickly go about suggesting alternatives. Every mode of communication，emails or face-to-face, has been efficient and clear (there was a small incident where the front desk misunderstood me regarding luggage pick up time for check out，but was quickly resolved). I must take this opportunity to thank Mr. Adrian Fautt，the Chief Concierge，and his team for all their efforts in meeting my needs，providing useful helpful suggestions and making my requested arrangements. It is so strange that you dont see the housekeeping team in the corridors of the guest room floors. And yet the rooms and the hotel and all the facilities are all kept and serviced in very good conditions. The buttons of the lifts and the keys to the Guest rooms are old fashioned but nostalgic! I like them that way! The rooms are spacious，thats a big plus in Tokyo. The amenities — body wash, etc are all Aesop brand and it is the best out of all the MO，Ritz Carlton，other Park Hyatt and Four Seasons that I have stayed at before.

When we first got there, we had the goal of visiting the NY Bar to see the views as the movie "Lost in Translation". After the going through the labrynth of hallways and elevators (as their is no direct elevator from the ground to the 52F), we arrived at the bar. We were told their was a 2500 yen cover per person as their was "live music" that night. We knew cocktails were about 2000 yen to begin with, but didn't realize the coffee would be around 1500 yen as well. After knowing we would be spending at least 4500 yen minimum a person (actual ended up around 7500), we almost decided not to stay, but ultimately decided to go through with it as it took awhile to even get there. Once we were seated at our table next to the window, the views were spectacular enough to make the spending worth it. The band playing music was icing on top of the cake.

Great view of the city and drinks were well made. At night there is a cover charge due to a live jazz band performance. Not a cheap place, but has a good atmosphere.

Poised high on the 52nd floor of the Park Hyatt Tokyo, the New York Grill is more than just one of Tokyo’s best restaurants. It’s a cultural icon. My exquisite meal proved, yet again, that this hotel has no shortage of tricks up it’s sleeves to wow even the most seasoned guests. And if nothing else, it provides a view that will surely make your heart skip a beat. I surmise that the Park Hyatt must be quite satisfied with their new chef, Steffan Heerdt. Appointed in 2017, Heerdt has already illustrated a passion and mastery of preparing seasonal and locally sourced produce. The simplicity and openness of the restaurant truly compliments the directness of his culinary style. He does not hide behind distracting, overbearing flavours. Instead he presents each ingredient honestly, allowing its inherent quality to take centre stage. Absolutely love this restaurant and hope to return year after year!

All good so far, it’s kinda a walk from the lobby lift to room lift. Room is very nice and well designed and little surprise everywhere. What amazed me the most is that I can easily have the TV display my iPad’s screen.

The nicest hotel I've stayed in Japan. Modern large western sized rooms. Quiet comfortable. Separate tub, shower, and wc. 2 TV s. Nice comfortable bed. Temperature was very comfortable. In the heart of Tokyo. 10 minutes walk to train station. The most accommodating staff I've ever encountered.

I loved this hotel — already planning my next trip there and will bring more family members. The views from our room on the 50th floor were spectacular — without the fog, we could even see a bit of Mount Fuji. I was so impressed with the service at Park Hyatt — that I can’t speak highly enough — 7 stars, 10 stars. Everything was pure perfection. We also enjoyed the the New York bar and live piano music. Coming back to this hotel in the evening and waking up here made our stay in Tokyo unforgettable. The room is gorgeous and large for Tokyo standards, modern, and relatively high tech. I impatiently await our return to this place.

Extremely upscale and classy. Expensive to match but you don't go to places like this if that's a concern. Service was impeccable. Drinks and dessert was outstanding. After 8pm they play light jazz which was excellent. Can't beat the view either.

Still the best Hotel I‘ve ever been to in my entire life. The view. The rooms. The ambience. The New York Bar. The service. Even the smell! It’s like being in a parallel universe when you arrive at the lobby. Total recommendation and worth every ¥.

A pleasant experience, indeed. We stayed on the 50th floor and enjoyed beautiful views of Tokyo, that slightly resemble the view on Central Park in NYC. Our room was quite spacious and the mini bar had excellent choice of whiskey. The room has everything you need, including champagne flutes, dental and personal grooming kits, even kimono and pajamas.

We took my parents to the Park Hyatt in Tokyo for their anniversary. We were greeted by very professional and helpful staff who guided us to our table. They then created a safe place with a bassinet for us to place our new-born daughter, which was fantastic as we thought that we'd have to juggle her throughout the meal. The view over Tokyo from the fifty second floor is breathtaking! The lunch meal begins with a buffet starter; every item of which is utterly delicious. There were prawns, cheese, roasted meats, seared fish, salads, and many more items that I honestly could have eaten all day, time and stomach allowing. For my main meal I selected the basic steak, meduim rare. Basic, is the most understated description imaginable. It was cooked perfectly and served with a creamy mashed potato and crispy sliced garlic. Fantastic! Lastly we were offered coffee or a selection of teas. I went with a tea because, god damn it, I'm British! We were also invited to help our selves to another buffet. This time the buffet was a selection of amazing desserts. I had most of the offerings, like a child let loose in a sweet shop. Overall it was a very memorable visit and something that we'll remember forever.

We visited the New York Grill for the midweek lunch. We traveled by car and were pleased to find that restaurant users get 2 hours free parking, in the ample underground car park, when spending over ¥5000. Our party was visiting for an Anniversary celebration and were offered a range of options to supplement the celebration including flowers or cakes at an additional price. We opted for the complementary message plate with dessert which was well received. Upon arrival or party was warmly greeted and I was delighted to find my newborn baby readily accommodated with her own bassinet and blanket on chairs by the table. It was wonderful to have my arms free for the whole meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. As it was the midweek lunch there was no live jazz duo, but the recorded music was still in keeping with the setting. The range of starters on the buffet was fantastic. Everything was simply, but superbly, cooked and some unusual flavour combinations were delightful too encounter, most notably the green beans with peach and walnuts and the prawns with guacamole. The majority of our party ordered the steak main course, all were cooked precisely to order. I selected the fish of the day and was rewarded with a superb sea bream with a delicate, flavoursome sauce. The dessert buffet was also fantastic with a variety of cakes and puddings to satisfy any sweet tooth.

A wonderful hotel with small details that will make you want to stay longer (or forever ;) ). The rooms are very modern and the hotel location is perfect — close walking distance to a number of attractions, but a few blocks away from the main hustle & bustle. The views of Tokyo are second only to Sky Tree, often we didn't want to leave our room as we just wanted to stay and enjoy the view. The coffee is included with your room and enhances the morning views (see pic). The bathroom amenities are plentiful and excellent. The rooms are cleaned twice a day or more (but ours was cleaned at least twice daily). They even folded our clothes. When I got a headache, I called the concierge and they brought me local headache medicine free of charge. And most importantly they got us reservations at Jiro. I can't wait to return!

The bar on the top floor is mythical for having served as a backdrop for the film Lost in translation. The view of Tokyo is breathtaking and justifies the cost of drinks. Moderately pleasant atmosphere However, the servers restart to consume and do not want to linger. Arrange a dress to get in, otherwise we do not leave the elevator.

Centraly located with easy access to nearby places. You certainly pay for the luxury of being able to stay here. Service is great and quite accommodating (being that everything gets charged to your room). Place is clean and luxurious. Higher end clientele will certainly appreciate this. To me it was a bit overpriced, but this is personal preference.

Incredible attention to detail. You enter your room, there is ice in the bucket and hot water waiting to brew tea. Wondering what landmarks you can see from your window on the 50th floor? There's a card on the desk illustrating your view. When housekeeping makes your room a second time in the early evening, they prepare it so you have everything you need beside your bed: water, the television remote, and an alarm clock angled perfectly so you can read it walking in most parts of your room and, eventually, in bed.

Nicely luxurious and not too ostentatious. New York bar has great views but takes a while for the atmosphere to build. Drinks were ok but not great. But once nighttime arrives and the places has more buzz is a fun place for a few drinks.

You can't say anything bad about this hotel except for the price. But honestly you get what you pay for and this place is as good as gold. Amazing.

I came here with some friends for the happy hour in one of their bars. Basically for a fixed charge you have an all you can drink and eat buffet with a great view off Tokyo.

Fantastic hotel, had an extremely relaxing few days here at the end of a 2 week trip to Japan. Not the most convenient location, but the (free) shuttle to and from Shinjuku station every 20 minutes helps. Stayed at the 51st floor, and enjoyed the view and honeymoon treats (champagne, flowers and framed photograph).

Went for the bar, for the "Lost in Translation" experience. Great bar, but 2000 yen cover charge wasn't cool on my wallet. Non-descript high rise building in West Shinjuku. But rather impressive upon reaching the hotel floors. Good drinks and finger food, coming at a cost. But given the state of JPY exchange rate and explosion of cocktail bars (& their sometimes absurd pricing) where I've been elsewhere in Asia, it became relatively "reasonable while on holiday".

One of the sexiest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. A flawless experience from checkin to stay to dining to checkout. You have to shed a tear as you see it get smaller in the distance. We shall meet again.

On a scale 1-10, with 10 being the most magnificent place you've ever stayed, I'd rank this an 11! Our room was perfect and the view. Amazing. Tokyo is truly a beautiful city. It has quickly become one of my favorite places in the world and I can't get enough of it. My mom and I stayed here for a couple nights. That's a couple nights of living like the 1%. I felt like royalty.

Nice room, super views. The bar alone is worth a visit.

It was gorgeous and just like Lost in Translation. I made sure to take a picture in the yukata sitting on the bed like Bill Murray. It was a little hard to find walking in, usually there's a shuttle from the airport and they usher you in and up to the reception area. We were backpacking in and walked in a funny circumspect way to find the elevator up ourselves because the first floor of the building doesn't look like a hotel reception area. Once up in reception it was very comfortable and the service was very personalized. Room amenities were the best I've had at a Hyatt, lavender bath salt was a nice touch. We went April 2013 and stayed at the Roppongi Hyatt as well. Park Hyatt was much nicer! The amenities and rooms were better at the Park. However the Roppongi Hyatt was more walkable and had the restaurants we wanted to eat at, including Jiro's son's sushi place.

It's not the most accessible hotel or in the best location for touring Tokyo, but it is certainly one of the premier luxury hotels and a great option if you're working nearby. The top-floor bar is nice, but the lounge bar is just as good for views of the city and has a more relaxed atmosphere.

If you want absolutely stunning views of Tokyo, head to the bar on the top floor. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails and fries which came with a hefty price tag, but was well worth it. My friend had the burger and said it was the best she's ever eaten.

Wonderful hotel in Shinjuku, located at the top of three skyscrapers, very near the building of the Metropolitan Government (or City Hall), to understand us.
It's not cheap, of course, but the service is impeccable, and then the very good dining options, with a great classic Japanese restaurant, the New York Grill with stunning views of Tokyo and a kitchen to the fantastic view.
Perhaps less good is that you take your good 15-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station, and at least when I was, there was no complimentary shuttle service (some other hotel of the area does it).

The place is a bit isolated from all the grandeur of shinjuku station area but the service is impeccable. The rooms may require a redecoration sometime soon but they still keep a great vibe. The entrance carpets need to be changed. Overall one of the best options in Tokyo. The breakfast at their 41st fl restaurant is outstanding too.

I've stayed in a fair share of nice places. But this is my favorite hotel in the world, to date. Saying the service is impeccable is an understatement. I was greeted as I got out of the cab by my name. I have no idea how they knew that. And everytime I saw anyone on the staff, the greeted my by my name. I was floored. I also loved the in room check-in. They shuttle you right to your room and perform your check in right there. And the rooms are spectacular. Modern in the way the Hyatt likes to do. Every attention to detail from the shower, bath, to the slippers and linens. Exquisite in every sense. Sure it's famous from Lost in Translation — but that's not the reason to stay here. Stay here for one of the more luxurious and pampering stays where they make you feel like an emperor — if only for a few days.
