Clean room, toilet and shower. The powder and locker room in the dorm is a great addition so guests dont have to go to a separate level. Can serve as a place to pack ur luggage without disturbing others. There is also ample space for guests to place their laundry. Great and friendly staff.

With really clean and comfortable facilities and nice staff, Grids Tokyo Nihombashi is a quiet place, perfect to have a good night of sleep, but that's it. It's probably more oriented to people on business trips than tourists. The kitchen is really basic, with a microwave, an electric toaster and just a few utensils and glasses available — definitely not enough-, and not even ONE knife available! The common area is quite small for the amount of guests and it's not designed to be a comfy place to hang around and meet people, but to have a quick bite and leave, they even have signs on the tables asking you to "be considerate" and basically do your things and leave fast to give room to the other guests. We were a group of 6 and most of the times we had to hang around in the lobby. On the other hand, location is good, with a few metro and JR stations within walking distance, and 20min walk from Akihabara. There's also two mini-markets and some really nice places to eat in the area.

Cheap nearby there are two supermarkets, a place close to Pine House (cattle election rice) large supermarket, a near station exit, ask a Mami miss, she will be very kind to tell you.

The location is perfect. 2 metro line plus one JR line are nearby. And there's a convenience store just 1 min which is quite nice. However for the inside I would say the common space is too narrow, insufficient seat and it's also shared with kitchen. The travelers staying capsule also need a place to relax. Secondly, the bed is small you might knock the wooden wall making the noise not on purpose. Oh forgot to mentioned the shower is on different floor which is kind of inconvenient…

GRIDS was very clean and offered many amenities. They provided free umbrella rentals the day it was snowing and raining. Staff are friendly and willing to help.

Aww the staffs here are very polite and kind, they can speak english too. New towel everyday, very comfortable and clean, Wi-Fi are great, and cheap, very recommended for budget solo/couple traveller. Near with convenience store, some ramen chains and small shops, 2 subway stations nearby. Very convenient will absolutely stay at grids again next time!

Very comfy and safe. Also the place is very near the train station. It's the best place if you are on a budget and still like quality service. And also the receptionist speaks english so its very convenient for all foreigners. I would like to stay here again. Even though I am staying here during the winter it is still relaxing inside. So try this place out for adventure seekers like me.

Good location Inexpensive, cozy, everything you need-there and even more)

It’s quite an interesting experience for me to sleep in a pod. This is a nice and clean hostel where you share most of your area with new friend, except your bed. You will sleep in a space enough for you to lay down and put your luggage and backpack in a locker. You will take a shower in a different floor, which towel is an extra cost at 100 yen. There is no breakfast available, you will have to buy somewhere else. Facility is new and clean. Elevator available. Good location, just a few minute walk from subway. In the middle of shops.

Well organized, freindly and helpful. Staff, nice and clean room and bed also close to train station, only a little bit noisy when people pack and unpack their bags.

Grids is a cosy capsule hotel with friendly staff, great cleanliness and modern facilities. It's in a great location close to restaurants, convenience stores and metro stations and there is a cafe in the lobby. The dorms are segregated by sex and there are medium sized lockers available to store valuables. The male shower facilities are located on the common floor along with the adequate kitchen facilities. Linen and towels are provided and can be replaced every 2 days at your request. A great place to stay for your visit to Tokyo.

This hostel is organized very well. Dorms are separated into boy and girl areas. There is a place to pack that is away from the sleeping area. It is super quiet. Best sleep I've gotten at a hostel.

I am not a fan of hostels because of the noise people make from moving around, packing and unpacking bags, and phone alarms. I think I would rather pay for a tiny airbnb room which will be more quiet. Nevertheless, a capsule experience is one of kind in Tokyo. Also good for those on budget travelling.

This hostel has comfortable capsule style beds with personal power outlets. It's clean and has friendly staff, a nice common area, roughly 10 men's showers, free lockers, and fast Wi-Fi. The common area has two large tables, a television, a drink vending machine, a kitchen with a fridge, and an outdoor patio door for smoking.

Had a great stay at GRIDS. Staff were lovely, everything was very clean, nice decor and nice atmosphere. Not a whole lot to do within easy walking distance but it's very close to the metro and it's very central so that's not much of an issue. Overall it was a great place to stay, I would only say check the location considering what you're planning to do.

Grids is located close to many trains stations and it's no more than few stops away from major places like Akihabara. The rooms are very comfortable and quite, the staffs are very lovely and likes to endulge customers, I enjoyed chatting with Chihiro San and mami san. It was a great place to stay.

Cool capsule hotel. A bit far from the station. They have elevator available for every floor. Clean room and bathroom. Great!

Sorry for the long review. Its really the spot to make your base point. Location = 5 stars. 2 minute walk from a train station. You can see Sky Tree (Tokyo tower) from the front of the building. (I suggest taking a morning to walk there, there is the Edo museum and two beautiful parks) And if you go the opposite way of the tower, you'll find yourself at a nice restaurant type district for those nights you wanna go out but not be insanely over crowded. As well as being near center of Tokyo's famous districts! Facilities 5 star. A cafe named Streamers has amazing food. Coffee and other drinks, it's at the lobby a really great place to hang out. Staff 5 stars. Worried about your Japanese? Not once when I would ask for directions, suggestions was there an issue. They're always happy to help, and even talk! Also they always seem to have activities going on!

This hostal is very well located and close to subway stations. It is clean and the facilities are well kept. I would appreciate safer/bigger lockers to keep carry on baggage. The rooms and beds are comfortable, with toilets in the dormitory, though the showers are in a different floor. You need a card o get into the dormitory, but that is all the security there is — then again, this is Japan, and this is probably enough. The staff is friendly and speaks English well.

I absolutely adore this Hostel. Calling it a Hostel is a little misleading, as it's a bit of a cross between a Hostel and a Capsule Hotel. The beds in the dorms are a lot more private and nicely sound insulated, the facilities are always clean and the staff are always friendly at any time of the day or night. I've stayed there 3 times on two different trips, once for over two weeks straight, and I will stay there again. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, although the thriving bar downstairs has been replaced with a coffee shop, which isn't quite as humming with locals in the evenings as the bar was. Keep up the good work Grids Nihombashi! I'll be back again!
