Very small rooms, good breakfast buffet, accessible very good from Kyoto central station and by bus, public bath available.

It's a ten-minute walk from Kyoto Station, near shopping malls and many restaurants. The hotel is cosy, the staff is super superfriendly and there are some nice amenities, like the public bath (absolutely clean and well-equipped with soap, shampoo, conditioner and excellent body and facial creams) and massage sessions (these ones are not included). The breakfast was really good, but I think they should write the description of the dishes in real English (sometimes they wrote in Japanese an English word), so natives and foreigners could understand it. My room was very small, maybe one of the smallest I have ever stayed in, but it was very clean, tidy and quiet. I would surely recommend it!

The hotel is an absolute disaster.
Breakfast, if you may call it that, just rehelps you. The staff said always goes you can't ect.

This is by far the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in any part of the world. Please look for another option! I wrote this review for the benefits of other travellers. Its better to spend a little more and go for a much better hotel. 1) bed was hard as a rock. I'm ok with firm beds but this is like some cement bed that is extremely uncomfortable. Probably low quality. 2) Rude female receptionist — Name starts with Y. Very accomodating, can't even provide us with proper pillows. The extra pillows she gave us had a doddgy weird pump to fill air in and was just extremely uncomfortable. In fact the pump was not even working! 3) No bottle water Staff Actually said we can drink toilet water or buy from vending machine. Just appalling.

For any Americans reading, this place is equivalent to a Motel 6 — that comment alone should start painting a pretty good picture of what this place is like. Coming from an American perspective, the room is extremely small, the bathroom is even smaller, the mattress feels rock hard, the pillow feels too low, but all that said, this is Japan and unless you absolutely need a plush mattress, I was able to sleep fine, possibly better than my super plush (but now almost 8 years old) mattress at home. If you've never stayed in a Japanese hotel, just except to be extremely crammed. The bathroom is as expected for a small place and a 10 min walk to the main train station. Free breakfast was included and though its more traditional Japanese breakfast, there is still bread and coffee available and regardless of what you eat, I thought it was amazing. My reason for lower rating is for the following: if you are more than 6 feet tall, you may have some issues with the length of the bed. If you have a lot of luggage, no place to put it. If you don't like Japanese food, you shouldn't be in Japan but other than that, you won't be happy with the breakfast. Wifi here seems to be a hit or miss. I noticed a correlation where when people are back in their hotels at night, everyone is connected so you really can't get much signal or bandwidth but if you try using it during the day when everyone is out, it's perfectly fine.

Great people, great food and good conference rooms.

Standard business hotel, with traditional Japanese bath available on the 2nd floor of the annex building and breakfast buffet (included with most if not all fares). Building seems to date from the 70s, so nothing fancy, but well kept and clean. We had a semi-double room for two and slept comfortably, though tightly. The room itself is small, but that's standard in Japan and to be expected. There is an Aeon (shopping) mall just half a corner away, and it's a short walk to Tōji train station, one stop away from Kyoto station.

Good hotel for not high price. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly. Especially liked the presence of own bath.

This hotel is about eight minutes away from the Kyoto Station. It also offer a public onsen at the second floor of its annex building. While the main building seems old and has only one elevator working, the hotel offers almost the same amenities as any other hotels in Japan. In addition, the staff were incredibly efficient in addressing concerns of the hotel guests. In our case, we requested a late check in at around 23:00 and they responded immediately to our email request. I also saw them assisting other departing guests in packaging stuff for courier delivery (bound for the airport).

Close to Kyoto Station (convenient location) and Toji. Rooms are reasonable as is the price. Breakfast is an excellent buffet (continental and Japanese)

Great free breakfast. Great view. Pretty close to Kyoto Station. If you are looking for a hotel I recommend the north or east side as there are newer shopping developments over there. Room is dirty and in need of updating. Bed mattresses are old, soft, springy, and worn out.

This hotel is conveniently located and the price is also reasonable.

Two blocks from Kyoto west exit, small but comfortable, hot water is hot hot and fast. Breakfast is Japanese noodles, curry and soup, western is egg, hotdog and bread. My grandson got a special gift from server, that is hospitality.

Good location: opposite Aeon Mall, 8 min wall from JR Kyoto Station, and 10 min walk from Tojo Park. Complimentary breakfast for all customers is great. However the room we got is very small. Can hire bikes from the lobby.

Good location and overall it is ok. Good connection with bus and train. Also walking distance to Toji temple.

Clean and very close to Kyoto station, even if walking is also very eary. Near the hotel there is bus to various tourist attractions, very convenient.
