If you’re looking for accommodations as relaxing as the onsens themself, then look no further thank Maruyamagawa Onsen Ginka.
Our room was a Japanese style room overlooking the river. It was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The service was second to none — from the pre-check-in communication to the free shuttle to the meal services, the staff here are so kind and eager to help. The food was traditional and seasonal, and plentiful! We could tell the ingredients were of the highest quality and prepared with care and pride.
It was very easy to get into town and visit the hot springs, Osenji temple, and the shops. Even though we were unable to use the hotel baths, we had a lovely cedar tub in our room that overlooked the river.
I would highly recommend Ginka for couples looking to treat themselves to a true ryokan experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Best ryokan near kinosaki. The room we had was a dream. The onsen clean and with beautiful view to the river. Try the heartful breakfast. It's a bit outside of everything (perfect for relaxation) but you can always get a free shuttle to Kinosaki. I recommend the onsen-hopping with day-pass.

My husband and I travel almost every year from Europe to Japan for onsen, so I have very high expectations in Japanese onsens and not easily impressed. But my god, this place 😭 it is not cheap but it is worth every penny.
This place is perfect. Really nice balance of old and new. They have eye on the details like supper, shampoo choices, welcome note, Yakult, garden, walk to dining area, private dining area etc. View from the room is so serene with occasional fish popping out for fun.
Some staff speaks English. As guests we were treated with gentle hospitality.
Food was absolutely delicious even in Japanese standards. They feed you till you drop dead and leave you with extra snacks just incase you have another stomach.
Water quality was really good too.

I had a lovely time. The staff was very friendly. I got the room with the river view and it was amazing. Their onsen was extra hot and they had an outdoor bath. Would absolutely stay again.

Stunning river views and room was very clean and quiet — had perfect sleep.

Tip — there is shuttle bus service but we drove and that’s probably my best advice if you can.

This location was the gem of my first Japanese trips and I will always think of this place so fondly. My husband and I booked this hotel for 2 nights as we wanted a break in between our trip from the hustle and bustle. It was worth every penny and we wished we would have stayed longer. Despite the rain, it was such a cozy time being there and I rarely wanted to leave. We had the most spectacular views from our room and our own personal bath. In the room, the offered coffee beans with a grinder, a tea set, onsen baskets, and daily beverages. They had this really cool shell pillow too that we used often for relaxation. The onsens were beautiful and amazing. The best one was the outdoor one near the river. Watching the sunset was truly magical.
The staff were so welcoming and incredibly kind. We had many requests with different things and they were so helpful and attempted to help us in any way they could. The kindness from everyone was just something I will never forget. From receiving a package with valuables to helping fix obi into a perfect bow. The breakfast was also the best meal of the trip. Please do not skip. They also offered free udon noodles at night to the room and were also amazing. Thank you again Ginka for creating one of the most beautiful memories of my life.

Lovely experience at Gina. Location is beautiful, definitely get the riverside room for the best view and experience, it’s worth it. The serenity from just sitting in your room can’t be beat.
The service is A tier, warm and friendly. You also get shuttle buses to and from the main onsen town which is around 5 mins drive away.
Dinner and breakfast comes as part of the package, you get a multi course dinner, which is a bit hit and miss but part of the experience.
