I have rarely been to somewhere where the staff are more helpful or courteous. Simply the standard they set is exemplary. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. They have Wi-fi (Sep 2018) that you can access from the rooms. The food is fantastic. The Japanese “Viking” style where you help yourself to as much as you want — and you will want lots as it is delicious. The three Onsen baths are wonderful and are a highlight of the trip. The hotel has numerous amenities (karaoke bars, arcades, bars and cafes). Family friendly to top it all! I wont hesitate a second to recommend this fine Onsen ryokan/hotel.

This was my third visit. Staffs were friendly and warmly welcome. Foods were also excellent.

Beautiful ryokan and wonderful experience. I was here in late autumn for my honeymoon. I had a room with an outdoor tub and a view of the mountain side. The view of the orange foliage was breathtaking. The service was fantastic. Some of the staff can speak English. The in-room food service was amazing. It was a very authentic experience to eat on the tatami. The bathing areas are huge and quiet majority of the time I was there. There were 2-5 people in the afternoons and evenings. There were considerably more people in the mornings. I went at around 7am and there over 20 people in the baths, mostly all seniors. Overall experience was fantastic and would definitely recommend to others.

Loved the food and the onsen. Didn't stay overnight but had a great experience. The house sake was not too sweet and smooth. Our server said that it could only be found in Arima. We went for a soak in the onsen around noon and there were only 2 others there. There are both indoors and outdoors pools to enjoy.

Located in Yue Ben Osaka Kobe-have Ma Bingwei Shangyang Hot Spring Hotel, a park two food price is a little expensive, but live after feel too good! The Japanese style room is really big, the service staff is very polite, also has the Chinese reception staff is too intimate! After soaking the hot spring can also enjoy the room massage machine, the journey of exhaustion together eliminate, and the kaiseki cuisine is very fresh, we have some and beef barbecue, really delicious, very 徝 to recommend!

Old Hot Spring Hotel ~check in when someone will take us into the room ~ will soon be attached with a hot cup of tea and snacks, and then of course immediately put on the bathrobe to go crazy! Male and female soup in the morning of six will exchange ~ Overall live down very comfortable very push! Dinner is to eat buffet, dishes a little let me a little disappointed ~ ~ because thought will be more abundant! But the buffet of breakfast made me feel stunning! Next time, I'd like to see a meal in the room.

It's an amazing high-class hot spring place (photos of hot springs not shown as photography isn't allowed in that area). The kaiseki dinner is wonderful as well. Highly recommend this place if u are visiting arima onsen.

All around perfection in comfort, service excellence, onsen, location, and quality of kaiseki dinner. Multiple language services were available, although this was occasionally in the way as we preferred to have the information in Japanese or English rather than Mandarin (which we were automatically assigned initially). It would be best to indicate in the booking which language you prefer.

While the hotel was well taken care of, it was definitely beginning to show it's age. The amenities we're older and some of them were not in working order. The baths were very nice. For the most part, the staff was very polite except but nothing exceptional compared to other Arima hot spring hotels.

Excellent food and top service. The rooms are big and very clean. The hot spring spa are so comfortable which we think one day is not enough.

Very large scale hotel with long history. Staff are friendly and some are multi-lingual. Buffet breakfast offer a very wide variety. Advanced massage chair just outside the public bath area is a must-try to push the stress out from the body. It is a bit uphill though but it's acceptable. Like everything in Arima it's a bit of overpriced compared with other hot spring offering similar quality.

Stay in top floor with inhouse outdoor bath (not onsen), very nice view. Very close to bus station Very 'touristy' friendly, have English speaking staff guides u all the way into room. All the staff are friendly. Very spacious Dinner were good, however the Kobe beef was not the top grade for sure! Only comment is the onsen! They have totally 4 public onsen area, each of them contains real hot spring onsen bath and non onsen bath which is just a hot water. To me, the real onsen bath is very small, especially those indoor one which is just like a bath tub! The onsen area are big enough I don't know why those 'real' onsen bath tub so small, proportion is not right. Anyway, it's a nice hotel.

Traditional Japanese style Hotel, with attending room service who helps you setting up dinner, Japanese style bed futon, then to breakfast in your room, so make sure put your valuable items in safe to feel comfortable and go enjoy hot spring or spa while they are working on setting things up for you. And make sure to use their pick-up service from or to the Arima station, or at least a Taxi to, since they locate quite far and its uphill. If you get their from Shinkobe, Tanigami, Arimaguchi, to Arima, it only takes 30 min and its amazingly coordinated, just get off and hop on the train waiting for you right accross the platform, faster than suggestion from Google Map if you are coming from east, but only downside is the way you buy that ticket is tricky since you need to select 740yen option that will be available to you only if you press Tanigami transit option. The map suggests taking a bus from Ashiya, and it was also a fun ride, even though bus from Ashiya comes only once in an hour. I would recommend if you want to experience somewhat hardcore Japanese style getaway trip.

Very nice hotel, very good food / buffet. Note that it's located on a steep road, but the hotel does provide a shuttle service from the bus station.

As a matter of fact, this hotel is extremely well-equipped. And my friends and I happened to be served by a very professional and lovely nakai.
