When hunting for budget options, make sure to factor in the daily train fare and travel time into central Tokyo. A great trick to save money without sacrificing comfort is aiming for weekday check-ins, when business hotel rates drop compared to Friday and Saturday nights. Also, double-check whether regular housekeeping is included in the base rate or costs extra. Take a quick look at local train schedules and day-by-day pricing.
