My sister and I arrived on the 29th of April 2018. I had emailed Greg to let him know that we may require a late check in as we were coming from Shinjuku and completing the Alpine Route along the way. He was great, he is Australian so I found really easy to communicate with him. He advised me he would be able to pick us up from the Hakuba station. I let him know when we’re we’re on the train departing Shinano-Õmachi Station (Approx 40min from Hakuba Station). When we arrived at Hakuba Greg was there to greet us and gave us a lift to the hotel. We checked in to room He advised us of where the best trails for us beginner snowboarders would be and recommended we try Zen (5minutes walk away) for dinner. Our room had a private bathroom. It was a Triple room with 3 super comfortable single beds. It also had 2 chairs and a small table to sit at. Coffee & Tea facilities as well as a TV (downstairs lounge room tvs had Netflix). Fee Wi-Fi is throughout the hotel and FAST! For Breakfast there was cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit, coffee (pod coffee machine), tea & juice. Greg gave us a lift to Goryu 47 & took the time to show us where to hire snow gear at the plaza. When we were down snowboarding I emailed Greg and he picked us up, showing us where to go for lunch & souvenirs. In the morning he gave us a lift to Hakuba Train Station. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! The service itself is enough to make me come back.
Best hosts in Hakuba. Really cozy lodge. Great lounges. Good for families and large groups. 10min walk to Echotown!
