Of the many hotels that I've stayed at this has to have the friendliest and most caring staff I've ever witnessed. The rooms are fairly basic, but it's well located for food, drinks and transport to the slopes. The inhouse onsen is great, breakfast is good and the owners will go out of their way to assist you with anything you want.
A small hotel but they had everything we needed: friendly and helpful staff, cozy and warm room, nice hot spring and super delicious brekkie and dinner:) I will definitely stay here again whenever I am back to Hakuba!

So friendly which is really all of Japan. Rooftop onsen is awesome. And the food is amazing as well and plenty of it. It's a ski field so bring cash for the surrounds bit highly recommend.
