Kita Kanto Hotels with a Pool

Thanks to the Go to Japan campaign, we got to experience staying at this hotel. Service was superb and dinner was excellent.

I told myself I will come back here and I did after 28 years. It's changed but it is as beautiful as ever. I love the onsen here.
This was my first home away from home in 1988.

This hotel is a bit farther out, but we did use the train and the short walk there was actually really lovely, especially in autumn. The lobby is huge and check-in was swift.

Amazing experience! Buffet was sufficient and tasty. Room was huge with plenty of onsen ready towels and yukatas.

The pros:
— Staff super kind, professional, and with excellent English speaking skills.
— Included restaurant has a diverse and good quality set of dishes.
— Onsen water is high quality and unique.

Very friendly staff! Sume speaks a really good English. Rooms very comfy and spacious.

The service is superb and you feel most welcomed once you are in the hotel. Generous snacks and drinks at welcoming time. The room is a bit aged yet well maintained.

I love this hotel though it catered mainly to locals, but also serves an international crowd. Customer service is first class; very efficient and treated like royalty.

Nice hotel! I love the view and the local traditional Japanese vibe! The room is clean and big. The public bath in the hotel is amazing! They also have outdoor section.

At the beginning, we had doubts booking this hotel as there were plenty of cheaper options but we were really glad we finally settled on it. Look no further if you are still deciding on where to stay

We had an amazing experience. The hotel was sparkling clean and the service was top notch from check in to check out for our family and my parents.

Booked 3 nights, no breakfast or dinner so I can't comment on that.

Truly a wonderful experience. Great service, perfect location. Private onsen with garden view. Traditional Japanese breakfast. The Japanese ladies are so kind and caring. Highly recommend.

Comfortable Japanese Ryokan with high quality food served. One of the best ryokan buffet food I have ever had. Dinner and breakfast has good variety and quality is high quality.

I would like to return to this hotel again. But hopefully the traffic situation would not be this bad being the golden week.

The bus service from Jomokegen Station was really nice, the service is out of this world, Great job guys.

Location great, right next to the station. Onsen is fantastic and the fact that they're mostly on a rolling schedule is amazing for trying them all out.

The Richmond Hotel is across the street from the Utsunomiya train and bus stations and close to stores, shops and restaurants.

Nice hotel as 3 stars, breakfast can be used in front hotel too which is western and Japanese mix.

The open-air public bath offered excellent views of both the sunrise and the stars.

If you are self driving in nikko, we highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was beautiful. There were many convenient services as well. I had a buffet dinner which serves many delicious dishes, especially Vietnamese-taste dishes.

Excellent hotel with extremely spacious rooms. Their all you can eat buffet (dinner + breakfast) is so delicious. They even serve crab! Would stay again.

My first time staying here. The room was fine, nice and clean, and everything was in good repair. Except for the pool, which is *enormous*, but was not in operation and completely empty.

Very convenient to access any places for sightseeing. It is located nearby station. Good roof condition even it looks old building. I recommend to stay here if you have a plan to stay in Tsukuba city.

We stayed here during our honeymoon trip across Japan and looking back, it was definitely the nicest place we stayed in. It is a traditional family-owned business.

We stayed at this 5th generation, family run ryokan for 2 nights in October and had a lovely time.

The log house was terrific! Very clean, comfortable, fully equipped kitchen plus dining table. Floors were heated which added to the cozy feeling.

Located slightly deeper into the mountains away from the main Minakami Onsen area, Tanigawa Ryokan offers a quiet sanctuary.

I wish I could leave a review in Japanese, but I don’t think I could do it justice! It’s my second language. 🙈

It was a hot spring hotel that was bigger than I had imagined. There are many types of baths. I was satisfied with the luxurious dinner and the breakfast buffet. I want to use it again.
