This is our second stay at Fufu Nikko. Having now been to 6 different Fufu hotels around the country, we are happy to report that Fufu Nikko is still the best of them all.

Our stay at FUFU Nikko was exceptional, with both the facilities and the quality of service reaching a very high standard. My child and I truly enjoyed our holiday.

We only stayed one night here and it is the regret of our trip that we didn’t stay longer! First, the property itself is gorgeous.

This place is not for everyone. You need to be slightly intrepid, with a deep desire to get off the beaten track and experience a totally genuine side of Japan.

One of the Ritz-Carlton Ive always wanted to stay at. I came all the way to Nikko from Dubai just to enjoy a relaxing staycation here.
The room was spotless and beautifully maintained.

I booked two suites (Lake Chuzen-ji view suite) for our family vacation, and we stayed three nights at Ritz-Carlton Nikko.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were all so helpful. We hope we can go again!

It was a fabulous stay. This Onsen hotel may be small but the staff tried the very best to assist you. The traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast were fantastic.

We stayed there for three nights and I can only recommend to anyone visiting Nikko.

The Turtle Inn Nikko annex Hotori-an is a lovely little inn nestled near the Kanmangafuchi Abyss that is famous for its many jizzo statues!

Super kind staff and great hospitality — they helped us with planning in the area. Spacious room, comfortable bed and air conditioning. Bathroom is normal size.

This hotel is wonderful! It has a great view of the lake and is right next to a bus stop and sight seeing cruise dock. The staff here is amazing!

Loved it! Micchan was so sweet and easy to talk to and she made wonderful vegetarian food for us! Although the location is a bit rural, please give this place a try!

Amazing off the beaten track B&B staying wonderful host Michhan, this beautiful woman has been serving people for 46 years and the experience is well worth the drive.

Wow! I don’t even know how to express our stay but this is one of the Ryokan that we have to thought about visiting again. Everything was perfect!

We only had one night in Nikko. It was booked for us by our tour company. When we arrived, we were a little disappointed in the look of the place from outside.

Yoshi was a fantastic host, so many brilliant touches. We had a bedroom and separate lounge area alongside access to the communal lounge. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Our two-night stay at Sanga Nikko was simply exceptional. Yoshi and his wife made our time in Nikko unforgettable, we’re leaving with so many beautiful memories.

It was a wonderful stay. The welcome lady greeted me at the parking lot and attentively helped with luggage.

Although the hotel room was very dated and worn, we were pleased with the food and services. For the cost we paid, I think it deserves a four out of five star.

It was a fantastic experience for me. The room was clean and neat, all staff members were kind and nice.

I stayed here with my one and a half year old child, and the conclusion was that it was a ryokan that I would want to come back to again. Especially recommended for families with children.

This hotel is a bit farther out, but we did use the train and the short walk there was actually really lovely, especially in autumn. The lobby is huge and check-in was swift.

Amazing experience! Buffet was sufficient and tasty. Room was huge with plenty of onsen ready towels and yukatas.

This place is clean and english speaking staff. There are no baths in the rooms and a little way out of Nikko town, so couldn't rate it too highly.

Great basic hotel. Rooms are small but space is efficiently utilized. There is no food inside the hotel except for some microwavable stuff in the small shop.

One should give a „11“! Located about 25 Minutes by foot in the hills across the shrines overlooking inari River, absolutely quiet.

It’s a serene escape from the city. A beautiful stay where the service is beyond exceptional and nature coddles you in its embrace as you fall asleep facing the stars.

This amazing hotel is located in the heart of Kinugawa with views over the gorge and is a 15 minute drive to Nikko.

Given The Kinugawa Kanaya is a classic luxury hotel that more than holds its own against newer competition. Three areas allow it to stand out: the food, the view and the service.

The service is superb and you feel most welcomed once you are in the hotel. Generous snacks and drinks at welcoming time. The room is a bit aged yet well maintained.

I love this hotel though it catered mainly to locals, but also serves an international crowd. Customer service is first class; very efficient and treated like royalty.

Good size room. Hotel tucked again in forest, however easily accessible using Nikko Pass. Popular with mature Japanese crowd.
Outdoor onsen is very nice during cool Climate.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. You have several activity right outside of the hotel and can take the bus to do some more.
The room we had was big and comfortable.

Our stay at Hoshinoyado Nikko was absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.

I stay for two nights. Japanese room witout shower room, make me no any inconvenient. Ofuro or onsen I am not sure is very spacious and comfortable. The hot water will heal my entire day fatigue.

This is the kindest host I’ve ever seen, the landlady is kind nice and patient.

Comfortable short stay. Highlight was the sweet owner. She made us feel so welcomed, cooked delicious breakfast and gave us gifts. We’ll never forget her warm hospitality.

At first, we were simply looking for accommodation with a traditional Japanese house style and came across many great reviews about Arai Stay House.

A wonderful little ryokan in the outskirts of Nikko. I stayed 2 nights in February and had the whole place, including the private onsen, to myself.

Nice quiet hotel in the historical center of Nikko. Very close to the shrines and temples of Nikko, and you can easily drive to the lake Chuzenji, different waterfalls and other nice nature places.

Ryokan full of art and nature. ❤️ Itamuro Onsen Daikokuya combines the joys of relaxing hot baths, delicious ryokan eats, and thoughtful art.

Great ryokan. Good room size. Dinner was good and the location in nature is amazing.
Can take it real easy while there.

The stay at Honke Bankyu ryokan was a special and intimate experience. The staff was very friendly and polite. Given that we did not speak Japanese, it wasn't a problem.

Foliage hunting tracing legends of Heike fugitives. Samurai Heike tribe was defeated by Genji tribe at Dannoura, Yamaguchi pref. 1185 AD, and ran away from Kyoto to mountainside of East Japan.

We want to thank Hotel Hanaan for such a beautiful stay. The location is perfect and has stunning views of the lake.

We stayed at the hotel for our wedding anniversary and it was an incredible experience.

We loved our stay at this charming ryokan. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

This place was wonderful! The service was exceptional and the food was amazing. Staff was very kind and while only some staff spoke English, everyone was super helpful despite the language barrier.
