Teshikaga Hotels

This is the best place that we’ve been to Hokkaido. Everything is great especially the food! This is our first time in stargazing and taking the pictures of the stars.

We had a wonderful stay at Pension Polaris, where the warm hospitality truly stood out. The crew was welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home.

Rooms are very average, but it's the location along the shores of Lake Kussharo which is the draw.

Great place if you want to see Lake Kussharo. Big hotel with a lot of facilities such as convenience shops and karaoke rooms. Amazing experience so far.

Rooms are simple but have everything you need. The Ibsen was nice calming and clean, but the outside-shared onsen was extremely hot that you barely could dip your legs.

My husband and I loved staying in this tranquil guesthouse. The rooms are basic, but very clean and comfortable. The room has a toilet and basin but no shower (more about that in a bit).

Stayed here for a couple of nights while touring Hokkaido. It’s wonderful.

The owners are super friendly and we had nice chats during and after dinner. Room is simple yet clean. The location is a good mid-point for the various tourist attractions nearby.

We stayed in Mashyuko Youth hostel during our recent trip to Hokkaido in June 2025. As a family of 4 with 2 kids, this place is a good stay for a night or two.

These guys rock. They went out of their way to help us out, stored our bikes and had local tips. They made us feel so welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay at Oyado Kinkiyu! Very charming, retro hotel with an interesting history and an extensive natural onsen complex.

It's advisable to be aware that this hotel belongs to the Japanese tradition of ryokan.

We stayed for 6 nights at Pension Birao and were extremely happy with the accommodation, the facilities and the service, and the location.

Lovely staff and very cozy building. Onsen was small but nice.
Rooms were good size but pillow was not very comfy. Overall good and retro vibe.

I came to Teshikaga and stayed 2 nights there by chance. However I felt so touch with the good hospitality, lots of helps from the staffs and helpful information provided, especially Kigure San.

The rooms are a bit old, but the beds are comfy. The walls are very thin, which can be a problem at night or at dawn when tours start. There is a shared bathroom with a onsen.

I enjoyed the location of this guesthouse very much as it’s a 5 minute drive from Kotan Onsen.

Large, clean and comfortable rooms with spacious toilets too. Convenient location if you drive.

A perfectly nice, clean and friendly Inn. It has the basics only but that's quite enough for spending the night. A simple but sufficient breakfast with a very friendly host was included.
