Lestel Maru

We are 7 person booked private room for 10 person and stay here for 4nights, very spacious, 2 bathroom and 2 toilet.
Everything is nice and good, except it is not very near from station / bus terminal around 8 minutes walking.

We had a very pleasant stay in lestel maru for 6 nights. The room was spacious, the kitchen was complete, bathroom was big. Everything was perfect. Theres a nearby supermarket and easy access to subway station. I really recommended the place, and will definitely come back.

Snoring can be an issue, but I suppose this is largely a matter of chance in a shared room. The room itself was clean, and the common areas were convenient and easy to use. On the third floor, the first shower booth (closest to the entrance) did not provide warm water even after running it for more than a minute—it briefly became lukewarm and then turned cold again. However, the shower booths further inside had no such problems. Thank you for providing a comfortable stay.

Overall good place to stay with potential to be great with some minor improvements. First of all the location is a bit tucked away from the city center, but still easily accessible since it's nearby a subway station. Some convenience stores and a 24h Aeon are nearby. The overall operation is organized well, it's all digital, no staff on location. I stayed in the dorm and the bed was comfortable. The place is also very clean. Towels are provided, but only once every 8 days, otherwise you have to pay. There's a common area, laundry machines and some vending machines for drinks. Sadly the "kitchen" is completely bare except for a water kettle and microwave. No cups, cutlery etc are available. That's a bit limiting. Also the hot water in the showers didn't really work so well, sometimes burning hot, most of the time just lukewarm. But these are just small concerns and I assume easily fixable. Recommended!

The location is very quiet and peaceful, away from the crowd and shopping area, for those looking for peace and quiet this hotel should be the first choice.
There are no staffs visible, all check-in and check-out processes are handled by yourself.
The cleanliness is very good.
The capsule bed is very spacious, the bathroom is also clean.

As a solo traveler, I booked the dormitory room and given that I stayed during (some days of) the 2025 Sapporo Snow Festival, it was a great value for money. Even if the hotel itself does not have staff presence, it ensures that guests are properly guided from check-in to all other requirements of the stay. The beds in the dormitory are spacious and still provide necessary privacy.

We stayed at Lestel Maru Sapporo during Chinese New Year and had a great experience with my family. The self-check-in process was seamless, making it easy to access the building, elevator, and room using a passcode. This was especially convenient after a long journey, as we could check in at our own pace without waiting at a reception desk.
The room itself was spacious and well-equipped, providing all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. From a fully functional kitchenette to essential toiletries, everything was thoughtfully arranged. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean, making it an excellent choice for families.
The location was also convenient, with easy access to public transport, shops, and restaurants. Despite being centrally located, the hotel maintained a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
One of the highlights of our stay was the efficient and hassle-free experience. With no need for physical keys or front desk interactions, we could come and go as we pleased, making our trip smoother and more enjoyable.
Overall, Lestel Maru Sapporo is a great option for those who appreciate modern, self-service accommodations with a spacious and comfortable setup. We would definitely stay here again!

A great place to stay in Sapporo near a subway station. There is a laundry room with dryer. Room is spacious, with small kitchen and separate toilet and bathroom.

The room would have been great, very modern and the amenities (except for the unusable Wi-Fi) are good. But it's impossible to sleep here. Even though the dormitory is on the levels below, presumably groups of young travelers are booking the big rooms as well. It's almost midnight and it's been incredibly loud (lots of stomping and jumping, throwing things onto the floor, smashing doors, dragging suitcases and chairs over the floor, etc) already since 4 hours continuously!
After 10pm we called the reception twice and they said they would have contacted the room causing the noise, but there's no change at all. It's impossible to relax after a tiring day of travelling nor can we sleep. In the morning of course it started again short before 7, so in case the bright room doesn't wake you up other rooms will.
The Wi-Fi is also not usable. No matter which floor we try, the connection is so slow that even a simple Google search takes up to 1 minute to load, and any kind streaming is effectively blocked or doesn't load.
Given that we paid 20k JPY per night for 2 people, this both is unacceptable.

Also note that the blinds let in a lot of light and the sun rises very early in Japan. The room was daylight bright from about 4:30 AM (see picture, this is as dark as the blinds get).
The sink area is technically in an adjacent room but there's no door, which seems like a missed opportunity to give more privacy and noise isolation for the own travelers.

Good: Room sizes, room quality, cleanliness, affordable, location.
Bad: Noise late at night (walls and ceiling are really thin and echo with base — you’re basically playing roulette with kids and students since most of the building is a hostel), Wi-Fi is throttled so VPNs and normal Wi-Fi connections are kicked if you try to watch streaming services like YouTube, Amazon services, Netflix etc.

Women’s dormitory and common lounge were great. It was very modern and private spacious capsule-like hostel. Close to station. Really great experience.

Beds are arranged so that there are no overlaps, lockers are arranged, and there is a spacious space. You can feel the thoughtfulness of the design to eliminate stress such as noise, space, and consideration for others as much as possible. I used several times and I would like to next.

The place is great. Room is very spacious (well depends on the room you get as there are dormitory type rooms aswell). We got the family room with 4 single beds. About 400m to the subway entrance. Lots of small restaurants around and a 24 grocery around 200m away. Place is clean and quiet. Gave 3 stars for service not because they are bad but because it is a self service type hotel which has its pros and cons. Would stay again.

Clear English instructions in on the door & and entrance, but the email they sent about the code are only in Japanese. Self check in & out. We stayed at the room for 4 with 2 bunk beds. Clean room & sleek decor, including a handheld vacuum. The comforters were too hot for summer even with low aircon on. The rather tall bed frames are good to prevent little kids from falling out but not quite convenient for adults to get out. Separate ensuite shower & toilet. The blind doesn't block the morning sun much, so it's not good if you prefer to sleep in. The 3rd floor common area has 2 microwaves & a sink but no fridge & no cups or utensils.
