BROOKLYN Hotel

First of all, the room is very clean and the bed was comfortable. The place looked like recently remodeled with very good contemporary taste. It also has coin laundry machines on the 1st floor so quite convenient when u r traveling for longer periods.
This place is a self check-in hotel which means no front desk but a kiosk at the lobby. I rated this place low for several reasons. 1. We didn't get an email instructions 24 hrs prior to check in. Therefore, we couldn't even get into the lobby when we arrived and there wasn't a service button for us to even communicate with hotel staff. Luckily, we only waited for 15 mins or so while trying to figure out how to get a hold of the staff some one walked out and we therefore got into the lobby. But we still had to figure out how to pre-register before we can receive the QR code for the Kiosk to check-in. Sounds complicated? Yes it was. Since we booked through Expedia, I tried to call the service number that it provided but was the wrong phone number to another near by hostel. 2. I can't really remember how we end up getting the pre-registration email but we finally were able to get the lobby pin code and fully registered with the kiosk. By the way, you will need to upload all the passports via the kiosk before finishing your registration and to receive your room pin code. So if u have multiple folks arriving at different times, I recommend you get in touch with the staff beforehand for instructions on that (good luck though).

I had a terrible experience with the procedure to get in. There were so many people struggling, and it seemed like chaos everywhere. The receptionist was unhelpful, and customer service was no better. It felt like no one knew what they were doing, and it made the whole process frustrating. I definitely won’t recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the hassle!

It was quite a walk from Sapporo Station, but we didn't mind as we had an amazing and comfortable stay here. There is a bus station nearby that is one station away from Sapporo Station, but it's only until 6 PM. Hotel is still accessible with walking, and the weather was nice so all good still. Maybe it would just be a challenge during winter. There is a Lawson nearby, so all good with your water and snack supplies.
The room is very spacious, as you can see in the pictures. It's rare to find a hotel with a huge room, with Smart TV at such an affordable price. We were just a family of 3, but the beds were a lot! The shower area and toilet were clean, and a lot of amenities were provided.
You have to request if you would like the room to be cleaned by hanging a sign. Pajamas and towels are also provided in the facilities area if you want to change what you have used. There is microwave and vending machine available as well. Take not that the hotel doesn't have any laundry area, and the nearest coin laundry is quite a walk from the hotel.
Check in is unmanned, but you can talk with their staff on the tablets provided in the lobby. We were able to check in easily without hassle. Their lobby is nice as well.
We would definitely stay here again when we are back in Sapporo!
