Brick House Furano Apartment

We’ve stayed in three nice spacious cottages; equipped with basic necessities and proper kitchen and comfortable beds. Location is good; just few minutes form Furano Station and there’s 7Eleven nearby. Mr Shin also offered the melons from his farmer friend which I think reasonably priced and tasted really good and sweet! We stayed in late July; the peak season of lavender in Furano/Biei area. Barely got a place to stay for two nights because of late booking inquiry (one need to book 2-3months earlier in peak season). But luckily I found Shin-san’s place accidentally during my intensive googling. I’ve sent private email and Mr Shin stated that he didn’t opened the cottages for public on the internet yet due to the Hokkai Heso Matsuri. (Maybe he planned to open them for walk-in customers). But Mr Shin is really nice person who let us stayed for two nights with a discount which is really helpful for our pocket since staying in Furano/Biei area are really expensive! Thank you Mr Shin!

Very functional and comfortable accommodation. Brick House had everything we needed for a 4 night stay, including a small kitchenette with induction cooktop, kettle, toaster etc. Great location, close to the Furano gondola. The host was friendly and accommodating. The only downside was that the walls in between rooms were quite thin and we were able to hear the neighbors chatting in the evening.

The boss is very kind, the room is very novel, but the radiator is not cold, no rule-free toilet in this snow and ice toilet to bear!

Definitely a lot of hits, but with a few misses. Starting with the good ones: Brick House is conveniently located close to the ski resorts and a few restaurants. The parking was right next to the house. Room was clean, well lit, had a space to park snow gear, and had a fully equipped kitchenette. Owner was very friendly, helpful, and had a lot of good honest recommendations. Minor inconveniences: Late check-in (starts from 4PM), bed was small (seemed smaller than a double), and the heater automatically turns on and off for 15 minute intervals for a few hours in the late afternoon and early evening (supposedly to save on electricity).

Very cute and nice owner with very good customer service. The room is very new and clean and cosy. The wooden house is suitable for very relaxing trip during cooling period. Just get ready a translator and it will be helpful to you to communicate.

Very friendly and hopeful owner. So nice to pick us up. He also drive us around Biei (charged) and the brick house is splendid and clean! Well kept furnitures and utensils with warm hospitality. There is a bus opposite 7-11 outside Brick House that goes to Furano train station and Asahikawa Airport fyi very convenient.

Nice quiet place, friendly host. 7 mins walk from Kitanomine Gondola station. Cost place with most amenities. Free parking and Wi-Fi.
