Cheap Hotels in Shimane

There are two buildings: the annex and main building. They were remodeling the main building but we still had a good view of the lake. Check in was easy and quick. There was someone directing parking.

I lived in Matsue for four years and was aware of this hotel but I’ve never stayed here before. The staff was very kind and helpful despite our lack of Japanese.

As the other review noted it's not a dormitory, but a private room with bunk beds. Tight space, but thoughtfully designed. Beds were very comfortable. The common space is lovely and very well stocked.

Another review said that the hot water was too hot for children to bathe in, but that was not the case, and the temperature was just about right, even if it was a little hotter.

The facility seems old, but it is kept clean. The lobby is also spacious and bright, but there are only a few sofas. There is a welcome drink.

The most kind and welcoming hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff will go above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant stay.

Friendly little place close to the station and "Izakaya street".

Really modern hotel. I love how it's decorated. The room comes with all the usual amenities plus some free coffee.

This is an honest inn in a remote location, it was clean, friendly and completely satisfactory, the hot bath was a wonderful experience. Comfortable bed and good amenities.

A no frills hotel in Matsue that will surprise you.
I drop my luggage with an ease and was check-in by the the helpful staffs. I came back at night and my lugagge was already brought to my room.

We got a double room per person and it's relatively small for 2 people but just right for 1. Staff are very accomodating and you can get all the supplies that you need downstairs at very convenient

The facilities are super clean and the house offers everything you need. The owner Mr. Nambe is super friendly and speaks very good English. He provided us with a lot of information about the area.

It’s a really nice guesthouse. The owners are so sweet. I arrived at 7:45 pm. The lady was so kind and helpful. It was my first time in Shimane and it went perfect.

I really enjoyed my recent five night stay at Guest House Daisho. Matsumoto-san and his wife were very welcoming and accommodating and the female dorm room was comfortable, clean and air-conditioned.

Great hostel. There is a kitchen and a common living area as well as an outdoor courtyard where you can smoke. The ladies dorm has 6 beds and uses traditional Japanese bedding.

It is not listed in Tripadvisor in my search for accommodation in Matsue, but instead got this information in booking. Com.

Room is a bit small, but it's very close to the station. There are a lot of bars, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby.

It's a great hotel for less money, near some amazing spots like a park with shrine.
