If I could rate this place 6 stars, I would. From the moment my wife and I entered the property, everyone treated us with the most friendly and laid back attitude. The food was clearly farm-to-table — local, fresh and each meal was multi-course. Be sure to try the daily patties. The accommodations were private, comfortable, and full of character with Jamaica / Caribbean style; especially loved the private outdoor shower and the second floor balcony overlooking the water. The service, at all times, was personable and quick. The Caves only has about a dozen villas, so there's only ever a few other couples that soon become friendly faces. The Caves has a very quiet, relaxing, and romantic vibe; the private dinner in the caves is something my wife and I will never forget. Don't miss out on the thrills, too! Cliff jumping with Paul the lifeguard is a must. He can take you snorkeling after to observe the super clear water and tropical sea life. Sit back, relax, and enjoy one of the most accommodating, friendly, and unique boutique resorts in Jamaica.

Scammers and Rude* this is a review of trying to book a spa service. Their listing price online includes a govt. Tax and service 20%. When I inquired about getting the Island Renewal listed at $225 online, Simone Brown told me that I would be charged an add'l 20% b/c im not staying at the all inclusive (i despise all inclusive b/c they treat their employee's poorly) and the price would be $275. Now I've spa'd everywhere and I know they've been better than the Cave, from the South of France to Bali to Ko Samui to Bangkok, to Tokyo etc… I've even been to a Blackwell property Golden Eye and have never been charged (an outside fee) My response was ok, b/c $275 isn't really that much for a 2 hour service. I then told her that I found the fee excessive, deters tipping and makes me think you do not value your employees. I then asked that the massage be in the cave (it is the CAVE hotel) and that the massage part be more deep tissue than the "balancing elemental nature massage" that's listed online (b/c I've never heard of that and who really has). I was then told that the cave is for people that stay at the hotel and that I would be charged an add'l fee of $25 for deep tissue and that I could only get the 10am service. The only reason I wanted to go to the Cave is b/c I was JUST at The Cliff hotel in February and wanted to try something new. Its unfortunate that Simone held up to the rude, scamming disposition that is afforded people in the west indies.

Gorgeous hotel & grounds. Slightly eco chic but for the prestige that goes with Island Routes I found the food far from tasty. Lunch was especially a let down, along with the fruit & "cheese" platter we were given with the hot tub package. But still a wonderful stay regardless.

Talk about romantic. Despite being close to Rick's and the occasional catamaran, the location is stunning, staff friendly and all around unique stay on the island.

Awesome destination. The staff does an excellent job providing privacy while providing everything you need. The layout makes it very secluded but you are never far from anything. The snorkeling trip was great! I lost my wedding ring while snorkeling and Paul went back and found my ring on the bottom of the ocean. From the minute you arrive the staff makes your visit special. We will come here again!

Was here for a wedding and overall, it was an amazing experience. The staff was friendly, drinks were good, food was delicious and most importantly — the wedding was awesome. The bride and groom (honeymoon suite I think), is small but adorable and has amazing direct water views set 65 feet in the air above the caves below. Speaking of the caves below, they are an amazing and unique space. Not sure if The Caves is the most bang for your buck but undeniably, it is very nice and the whole wedding party had an amazing night.

Heaven for relaxation: dive, swim, take a sun bath, go to the spa, done in the cave or under the stars, enjoy the quietness of the place. The staff is super nice and professional. Wonderful vacation.

My wife stated while we were leaving, "This place really feels like home. " I couldn't agree more. The Caves is a special, unique place. Many of the employees have been there 10+ years. They know how to treat you like family. We cannot wait to return. We spent the last 3 nights of our trip at a large beachfront all-inclusive resort. The Caves honestly spoiled me to the point where I couldn't get excited about the other resort chain we'd visited 4 times before. If you want a chill, relaxing vacation, don't hesitate — book it. You'll thank me later. Highlights: Food is really great; massage at the spa was awesome; you must do a private dinner in one of the caves; snorkeling with Paul is awesome; jumping into the Blue Hole was phenomenal! To Paul, Orine, and the rest of the staff: keep up the great work!

The Caves Hotel has immaculate views, sunrises and sunsets. The service and people are excellent and will do anything to make sure your stay is the best experience you could have.

Lovely get away place. You can find that balance within yourself that you have been trying to discover.

The best hotel I have ever been to. This is an amazing place for a couples retreat. Everything was superb and even if being picky I don't think there is even one thing I can find wrong with this place. Amazing food and views and every staff member went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Highly recommended!
