I do not know how they got the rating they have. We have stayed all through Europe and Italy and this was the only B&B that really didn't meet the rating given. The breakfast was poor. The towels, hard and scratchy. The room very out dated with mold on the ceiling. The owner not helpful. Beside that we loved Assisi and would return to stay somewhere else.
➜ The B&B New Day is located in the center of Assisi, very close to the Basilica of San Francesco (on foot it takes less than 5 minutes).
The bedrooms are spacious, bright and well-cleaned, as are the bathrooms, with the minimum necessary (including soap, hairdryer and towels).
Being inside the walls of Assisi, getting there in the car becomes a bit ' difficult: in fact there is no free parking in the immediate vicinity. In my case I parked near the cemetery, and I reached the structure on foot (10 minutes walk). If you are lucky, you can find free parking just outside the walls, near Porta San Giacomo: In this case the distance from B&B would be reduced to 5 minutes.
The staff was very polite and helpful, even by phone to request various information.

Terrible stairs from the photos do not show the steepness, not even a suitcase passes, minimum union reception no help in carrying luggage. Small room good photographer in masking it. Extra bed bad beach cot with folding mattress. Very noisy air conditioner and no more. Breakfast counted lacked milk and water. In a nutshell a bad stay. Not highly recommended.
