We were in this wonderful place for a family dinner. The place is lovely to say the least. Cared for and well maintained. The staff are very attentive, kind and professional. We ate great. The dishes, prepared with great care. The silence and atmosphere of the place made our evening unforgettable. We will definitely come back to try the other menu proposals.

Fundamentally I would say that if you are thinking of staying at this hotel you will benefit from going elsewhere. This is not because the hotel is dirty or the rooms particularly small but because it is overpriced for the services you receive. Everything at Poggio Piglia is just about adequate. Nothing is good or exceptional. The room comes with one bottle of water and one bottle of wine. The wine is a nice touch but only one bottle of water for the duration is poor. The showers run hot and cold at almost any point during the day, presumably due to bad plumbing. Any noise in the restaurant or the central stairwell can be heard clearly in your bedroom so getting a nice lie in is off the cards. Breakfast is pretty basic, and the evening restaurant adequate but no more and fairly expensive. The outside seating area is small and the pool isn’t great. Simply put better hotels exist at cheaper room rates.

We were at dinner and I have to say that as soon as we arrived we were impressed by so much beauty of the place… so at the table we could enjoy some fabulous dishes! All enriched by the kindness, courtesy, and professionalism of all the staff. COMPLIMENTs ☺☺
So I definitely recommend for those who have the opportunity to pass in this corner

Amazing rural luxury retreat in Tuscany. Rooms very nice, scenery to die for. Wine made on site was excellent and good value. Food at restaurant was delicious.

The Hotel was very good.

We stayed here for four wonderful days earlier this month. The whole experience was unsurpassed from the moment of our (late) arrival when the kitchen had remained open to ensure we had opportunity for a delicious light dinner. Cannot recommend the hotel, grounds, food, staff and ambience highly enough.
The food was so good we chose to eat in every evening — delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was a sumptuous feast with a huge variety of choice to set you up for the day ahead. We had a tasty & enjoyable lunch when we had a day relaxing by the pool taking in the views and just chilling.
Every single member of staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and made us feel really valued as guests — thank you all so much.
Our Italian cookery class was great fun and we have plans to invite friends for a true Italian dinner soon.
The Poggio Piglia Olive oil and wine are top notch and our delivery is safely in UK — another taste of our memorable Tuscan sojourn.
If you are looking for high quality, relaxed tranquility this is the place.

A charming place, with a splendid view over the Tuscan hills, friendly and attentive staff, very satisfying and well-kept rooms. Very good stay to recommend. Just to point out that the restaurant menu should be changed every week.

I booked one of the cabins… exceptional.! The mistress is charming.

Wonderful setting and ambiance with charming, efficient and unobtrusive staff. Dining facilities include both tasteful and artistic contemporary design features with delightful exterior terrace linked to interior dining area. The gardens, olive groves and pool area are all that you could wish for during a Tuscan break. The hotel is ideally located for visits to Assisi, Cortona and Montepuliciano with additional advantage of near autostrada access, but try the cross country route from here to Siena, if you have the time, the landscape on that route is stunning. My second visit to the Poggio Piglia and would recommend it highly and would certainly revisit myself when opportunity arises. Forgot to bring the wife this visit and it's equally as idyllic here for a solo weekend ' chill-out '!

It is always nice to come back to Poggio-Takes, the location is wonderful and the managers and staff the people who make you feel at home. Will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful inn on an olive tree lined property. Seems standard in Tuscany. But what makes Poggio Piglia stand out is the excellent service, not least of which when it comes to food and beverage. Enabled by the very fair price, I enjoyed every single meal there: from the freshest ricotta ravioli for my welcome lunch, to the breakfast spread of cakes, tarts and panos by their young pastry chef, and oh, the house-made olive oil in a bread crumb dressing to a bufala mozzarella and tomato tower which I still dream about. Most thoughtful was our hostess, Fiorella, who settled us in with San Giovese wine (which they also make on the property) and saw us off with prosecco before our cab to the train station arrived. I can't wait to stay here again! Perhaps in November when they harvest the olives.

Excellent hotel in the country side… we spent a week at this hotel Chiusi, excerllent in all respects, friendly and very professional, The hotel well above the average. One out door swimming pool surrounded by olive trees, restaurant and breakfast is served on the out door terrace with breath taking vies of the Tuscan hills, we will return…

I absolutely adored this hotel. The grounds were so amazingly beautiful with an abundance of lavender, roses & cypress and olive trees. As soon as you step outside you are struck with these beautiful aromatics. The infinity pool was my favorite and I spent many hours there — I enjoyed waking up early and having it to myself as well as taking a dip after visiting the many nearby hilltop, medieval villages. The staff, including Paulo and Lucca, were top notch. The food was very yummy as well. We had a fish tasting menu one evening and it was delicious, artistically presented and quite affordable. The rooms are spacious with lovely bathrooms. My only complaint is of the beds, they bounced! You could feel every move your partner made. My husband actually slept on the couch one night for fear he would wake me with his turning.

This place is absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with large bathrooms, the staff goes above and beyond and the food is spectacular. I highly recommend staying here to relax for a few days while touring Italy.

Tranquil escape in the heart of Tuscany-very few rooms and feels very exclusive.

Such a perfect place, I enjoyed 4 amazing nights here and did not want to leave! Beautiful house, grounds, pool, food and people. What a magical place I can't wait to return for our wedding!

Amazing! My brother rented the entire place for his wedding reception so we got to enjoy the while place to ourselves. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely! Really relaxed atmosphere. Our room was gorgeous! The bathroom with jacuzzi bath was great! Pool area with such beautiful views was breathtaking! Defiantly a dreamy location.
