You have to stay here. We booked the Horto Convento for three nights as part of our Italian adventure, and we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place. Situated in the San Ferdiano district, it is ideal for the best restaurants, all the locals come here, but also for walking the 10 minutes over the river Arno, to see the sights. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms immaculate, the staff are so welcoming and it’s so peaceful at night. You’ll get plenty of rest after a day walking around this beautiful city. If I could give it 6 stars for making our trip so memorable, I would!

What a wonderful stay here. It is clean, safe and well situated. I will certainly go back here when in Florence. We stayed here fro 6 nights. I highly recommend this hotel.

Les chambres sont très sympas, modernes et confortables, les salles de bain un tout petit peu trop petites et il n'y a malheureusement ni piscine ni restaurant. Mais un bon petit dejeuner avec de bon cappuccino!

The Good: Converted monastery turned hotel (BRAND NEW). Very peaceful. Great staff. Would recommend to traveling friends in Florence. The Bad: Uncomfortably pillows (felt like filled with air). Wi-fi incredibly inconsistent. Breakfast very underwhelming. Could use a water element (fountain, pool, etc. )

My husband and I, along with 30 of our wedding guests had the pleasure of staying at Horto Convento in the days before and after our wedding. The staff at the hotel could not have been nicer! They were exceptionally friendly, attentive and provided great recommendations for dining and sightseeing.
The hotel itself is tastefully decorated and furnished and has everything you may need. The breakfast was very good and it was lovely being able to sit in the garden with a morning coffee.
On the day of our wedding, the staff went above and beyond. From surprising me with champagne and strawberries and a lovely congratulations note on the morning of our wedding to working with our various vendors, greeting them and directing them to the right place. We can't thank the team enough!
It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Horto Convento and we can't wait to return!

A superb hotel, the welcome, the attention to the well being of the customer everything is made to make you want to come back. An excellent breakfast, the rooms very comfortable as well as the bedding, superb bathroom with this huge Italian shower… I loved it.

In the heart of the district of San Frediano (with several excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity), a few minutes walk from the Pitti Palace and the Ponte Vecchio, the hotel occupies a part of an ancient convent beautifully restored.
Very well cared for the outdoor spaces and gardens; Elegant interiors in white marble and walls, with sober furnishings, but skilfully sought-after, of the same colours and materials as those of the rooms, which still show the shapes of the old convent and are spacious, luminous, skilfully furnished, always with elegance and Sobriety; The bathrooms are also refined; Rooms always very clean and cared for the smallest details; Clean and fragrant linens; A real "pearl" bath design on an upside at the foot of the bed.
Beautiful the lobby with bars and lounges with magnificent colors, as well as the Continental style breakfast area, with a buffet perhaps limited in choice, but of great quality.
The staff is very nice and the location is very good.
I underline the details that have never happened before and extremely welcome, such as the water of the free minibar and the espresso machine freely available in the room.
Great value for money despite the private parking fee.
Experience to repeat absolutely: not to be missed!

Located in one of the coolest neighbourhood of Florence — San Frediano, Horton Convento is a Convent converted into a Hotel as the name suggests. There are 3 types of rooms (sq mt wise), we took the largest, spacious, password protected safe, quality toiletries and an expresso machine available in the room. Helpful staff, and an amazing breakfast adds to the charm. They have plenty parking, but inform in advance to reserve your slot. This neighbourhood has excellent food options and bars.

Nice location out of the hustle. All new, welcoming staff. In 10 minutes walk we are immersed in the tourist hustle and bustle. In the area of Risto and trattorias valid at correct prices. In my opinion to be taken into account for a stay in Florence.

Loved my stay at the Horto Convento, not right in the corner, but a nice 10 minute walk away. Great restaurants close by, and quiet whilst inside the hotel. Rooms are big and spacious. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is traditional continental, buffet type. Eggs, small sausages, tasty enough. Staff are attentive and helpful. 5/5 will stay again whilst in Florence.

This is a great place to stay in Firenze. Location is perfect, accommodation is great, everything is clean and new and staff is friendly and helpfull. Great place to go.

The air condition was not good I ended up with a fan also I had very poor sleep for 3 days thank God after this hotel we went in another hotel that had very good air condition. Too expensive compare other hotels. I ended paid 645 euros for 3 days with parking that it was very hard to go in it I think it is a bit expansive. Breakfast was average. No bacon, toast hard to do because you have to cut your self the bread and it end up so thick. Few choices of bread and they was not enough.

Beautiful place opened since 3-4 months. It is actually an old covent converted into an hotel. Good location a little outside from the historic center but close enough to get there on foot. Absolutely recommended!

Beautiful hotel with an extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms and facilities are a beautiful mix of modern and historical, the breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast with some specialties and daily changing options. The private yard is very cozy with some couches to relax on. The location is ideal with many splendid restaurants nearby (as the Oltrarno area is more favoured by locals) and the hotel staff will book table reservations and even taxis for you. I spent an amazing long weekend here with my boyfriend, and we want to give special thanks to Matteo who saved us on our last day there. Definitely worth visiting, Horto Convento is a true five star experience.

Structure open in 2017. An oasis of peace just 10 minutes from the centre, excellent restaurants a few metres away. Breakfast varied and good. Parking available for a fee.
