Lovely area and taormina is a beautiful place with lovely people and views of the bay. The city center is nice and there is plenty of restaurants and nice little shops and bakery/cafe.

Very nice place, picturesque, blue sea, I loved it, very friendly people, recommended, the hotels below are on the ocean and if you ascend and there is a sun like today, the view of Etna is majestic with its fumarole. Recommended.

Taormina is beautiful. The town itself has fantastic views over the bay. Many restaurants to chose from, the best are the ones tucked away. Yes the more popular ones can be expensive. We have been Coming here for the last ten years. We are still finding little gems of restaurants. Visit Isola Bella and the amphitheater. We stay at the Isola Bella Hotel which has stunning views.

One of the best beaches in Sicily. In holiday season it is overcrowded and parking can be a problem. The nearby Mazzaro parking lot is small and expensive.

Perfect location and lovely breakfast with a spectacular view.

Paid entrance to Bella Island disappointing, as you could access only a meager part of the island. The rest was accessible, but prohibited. A pity because it would have been an extra emotion to see the view from above, and enjoy it in all its "beauty", just like its name.

Nice but crowed! Make sure to get there early if you want to park or get a good spot at the beach.

I'd say gorgeous! Breathtaking panorama, crystal clear water. It recalls in many ways the typical environment of the Amalfi coast. Obviously as in that case it is difficult to find parking. The only flaw is the high number of people in a very small space.

Beautiful place on the eastern side of Sicily. It's easily reached by bus or taxi from the Taormina train station. Though it's a tourist destination one can still enjoy the place and find space to savour the beauty of the place.

Very nice beach with expansive service. Free part of beach is very nice and better as pay beach for 20 euro/person. Visit of Isola Bella is for 4 euro with nice looking around. Snorchelling is not to much, but fishes were present.

Isola Bella, a beautiful island, is also known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean. Located near the Sicilian town of Taormina in walking distance (half an hour). A favorite place for swimming and sunbathing in the surrounding area.
At low tide actually becomes a peninsula, as we see in the photo.
The island is home to a nature reserve managed by the World Wildlife Fund.

Lovely scenic bay worth a visit, but, mostly taken up by private beach seats. Visit via boat from Naxos or the beach next door to see it in its glory. Very busy even now (July) so August could be rammed.

Crowded, expensive, overrated, noisy, snobbish.
I discover better beaches around as Mezzeo, quiter, with only locals, nice places to eat and drink at fair prices.

A real gem! If you find yourself in Taormina you can not help but admire it.
Clearly If you have the opportunity is advisable to visit it as a whole and spend a half day maybe taking a nice bath in the crystal clear waters that surround it!

The beach is a nature reserve, a few steps from Taormina country. Heavenly Sea of a cobalt blue, to reach it there is a very nice staircase with well 134 steps, despite everything does not weigh. You can see from the train and at the same time you see the train passing by over the coast. A beautiful place to see at least once in your life.

A very nice place to see. Great views. I suppose in the middle of the summer is a little bit expensive, but there is a good option for one or two weeks.

Beautiful location of an isthmus that is submerged at high tide. But the price of the ticket is not justified for what it offers.

Beautiful, ideally you may park in the parking lot, for a fee, cable car and on foot to visit the Beautiful Island that is also a Natura 2000 site. Then take the cable car to visit Taormina. In this way, a single parking I know visit two places and not too stressful to turn for the streets close to Taormina.

The beach of Isola Bella is a few steps from Taormina the most blue sea of Sicily.
A heavenly stairway is the one that will lead you to this spectacular beach of the Messina coast, which really seems to reflect the Eden in the blue of its waters.
The transparency of a sea so crystalline that allows to see the bottom even at a distance. The panoramic from above is in fact the business card of this spectacular beach, access is in fact along a highway, through a short staircase that you will walk down. An oxymoron that will be revealed to you in all its beauty after a few steps.
The beach of Isola Bella is composed entirely of rocks and stones, on which it is not at all easy to walk barefoot. Indeed, in many moments it becomes rather painful. It almost seems that with its physiognomy this stretch of coast refuses to be approached, and wants to allow access only to those who are worthy.

Very small island located in Taormina that gives, at least to me, a great emotion! You can get to the island from the beach either with a boat or even walking since the water is not deep and the distance from the shore is really little. It has a unique charm. To see absolutely!

Isola Bella, also known as the "Pearl of the Mediterranean", is a tiny islet within a natural gulf between Mazzarò and Capo Taormina. At certain times of the year, the low tide allows the crossing of the small sand language that connects the island to the beach. It is one of the candidate sites to be certified World Heritage by UNESCO, and is currently managed by the Environmental Protection Centre of the University of Catania; It is visitable for up to 15 people at a time, the old owners built inside 12 residences for luxury guests and a swimming pool. Going in summer before or after the visit is a must a bath in the beautiful crystal clear sea that bathes.

Lovely place… you almost have the impression of being in a natural paradise. Too bad.

Beautiful place to do snorkling beautiful sea Island wonderful but either come at six in the morning or else forget to find a place! Parking €15 establishments no less than €20 per person.

Great stone beach. A must do if around sicily.

Beautiful! It's a must for photos and snorkeling in eastern Sicily! Don't forget the water shoes because is preety hard to walk on the beach without them. It is hard to park near the beach, so you better find alternatives such as leaving the car up at Taormina, and use the teleferic to go down.

Good landscape and unusual place. This is not a sand beach but a stones one. Water is amazingly transparent.

If they gave me a month of holiday in Calabria or in Puglia, refuse and I would go to Sicily for a fee. The Sicilians are very dear to the tourist. People who do everything to make the holidaymakers feel at home. They have a great sea. The food is great. I go back every year.

What a Beautiful little island. If you get a chance to stay in Taormina you have to go to the Beach and see Isola Bella. When you get down to the beach you can walk to the island if it's low tide.

The beach is really beautiful. Little sore on the feet though and without Sea shoes is pretty ungraceful getting into the water. Shop around for drink prices as they vary a lot (brown wooden bar the best) The water is lovely and refreshing with some parts being warmer than others.

A really nice hotel, with beautiful views of the sea and the island! Friendly staff and excellent cleaning service and breakfast! Come back next year with my lovely Russian bride Julia and this time on their honeymoon! Go worth! It's great! :-)

I've been twice guest at the hotel Isola Bella and I can't wait to go back for a third. Definitely one of the best hotels in Taormina. Lovely staff, seems to be in the family.

People there are friendly. The view in seaview rooms are excellent. Also quiet good value. 59 for two single rooms. The only disadvantage is breakfast. Doesn't match 4 star. But others are nice. I would choose there again if I can go there.
