Torre Cangiani

We enjoyed a magical vacation at Torre Cangiani. Christiano invites you into his home — and into his family! The accommodations were perfect — good bed, shower, breakfast, etc. But the atmosphere and location made it special. A great location for exploring Massa Lubrense and the Amalfi coast. We preferred the peaceful location (and outstanding views) to being in Sorento "town" (but it was easy to get there when we wanted to). Local restaurants and tour groups will pick you up and bring you back! Make sure to leave a free day just to relax and enjoy the courtyard and lemon groves. I highly recommend!

We spent 5 nights at Torre Cangiani and we could not have chosen a better spot! Cristiano and Matilde were so warm, welcoming, and helpful from our first email contact throughout our stay. The location was perfect for us, a short walk down to the bus stop and a very good restaurant, but removed from all the hustle-bustle. We had easy bus access to Sorrento and its train and ferry connections. But we were so happy to have a day to just stay "at home" and enjoy the incredible view of the Bay of Naples and out toward Capri without having to go anywhere! Our apartment was very spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Lastly, we must say that, after being in Italy for 5 weeks, the dinner that Matilde prepared for us was the very best we had, delicate, lemony goodness! If we return to the Sorrento peninsula, Torre Cangiani will be our first choice for accommodations.

I had a wonderful stay at Torre Cangiani end of October. The whole house & its gardens are beautiful and you can wander through the lemon and olive trees. The views onto the garden, mountains, sea, coastline (Naples), the Vesuvio volcano, as well as Capri are unbeatable. My room was spacious and included a kitchenette; the bed was comfortable. Breakfast (and dinner if you book it) is served for all guests on one big table, which I personally loved. A lot of the food / ingredients were fresh from their own garden, and prepared with care and love. Even though there's a bus leaving close to the house it probably the easiest to get around the area by car or scooter. By foot there's often no sidewalks along the road, which is ok but a bit more adventurous. Cristiano is happy to provide tips and advice — and you'll get a taste of his unique humour. ;)

Stunning location, beautifully-maintained property, room was super clean, Cristiano was available, friendly, and we enjoyed lovely conversations with him! His passion and warmth are palpable.
No hesitation to return to Torre Cangiani should I visit this side of Italy again, and will recommend to friends and family whole-heartedly :)

The property is minutes' drive to Sorrento — perfectly located. Close enough to enjoy Sorrento, but away from the bustle.

Agriturismo Torre Cangiani was perfect. Communication, even across the language barrier, could not have been better. The space is pristine and easy to find. We hiked in, took the Sorrento bus out, and had no problems. The food was fantastic (breakfast and the dinner). Of our ten days in Italy, this was — by far — the highlight and we would go back. There's a lot of family history, more than 1, 000 years on this one property, which is hard for Americans to comprehend. We're now convinced that the Agriturismo is the way to stay in Italy. We moved from Capri to Amalfi to Agriturismo Torre Cangiani, and then went to Pompeii, and came back — we should have based our entire trip out of this location.

I had the pleasure of staying at Torre Cangiani for three nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. This charming organic farm is owned by Cristiano, who is not only a wonderful host but also passionate about the organic lifestyle and local traditions.
The accommodation is set within a stunning historic villa that exudes character and charm. The villa's beautiful architecture and serene surroundings make it a perfect getaway. I felt instantly at home in this peaceful oasis.
Torre Cangiani is conveniently located near Sorrento, making it an ideal base for exploring the entire Amalfi Coast. Whether you're looking to visit picturesque towns or enjoy breathtaking views, this location allows easy access to it all.
The organic farm offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature, and I appreciated the fresh, locally sourced produce available. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to combine relaxation with the beauty of the Amalfi region.

Whether you are looking for a quiet vacation, or a fun family getaway, Torre Cangiani is the place. Located on a beautiful hilltop in Massa Lubrense, you will enjoy the beauty of the Bay of Naples, Mt. Vesuvius and the Isle of Capri, while you enjoy a wonderful breakfast prepared daily for you (if you choose), by Cristiano and his mother. The terrace area is a wonderful place to enjoy some quiet time, a chat, the beautiful sunset or some fun family time. This beautiful spot is far enough from the bustle of Sorrento, but not too far by bus (which stops almost at the foot of the driveway) if you need to make it a part of your daily adventures or as a connection for a tour of the Amalfi Coast.
Cristiano your host is so very accommodating and greets you everyday with a smile and a bit of quick wit. He is always so helpful and accommodating if you have any questions and will jump right in as your personal photographer when you need to take that very special group photo.
The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for our group of 5, and the entire place was perfect for our group of 15 cousins, enjoying a wonderful Italy experience. Once you visit here, you feel like you are a part of the Torre Cangiani family.

Torre Cangiani is a place we would visit year after year. Located high above the Bay of Naples with incredible views of Mount Vesuvius and the Isle of Capri, and an easy bus ride to Sorrento, you can’t beat the location. You can even hike or walk into Sorrento if you’re adventurous.
Each morning Christiano and his mother and their staff fix a delicious breakfast to get you started for the day. Eggs to order, a special pastry item, fresh honey and jam from their farm, and fresh Greek yogurt and honey and walnuts. It was so wonderful to spend quality time with 13 of our family members renting out the entire villa.
If you select this location for your vacation in the Sorrento region, you won’t be disappointed. You will even find it very easy to get to the towns along the Amalfi coast or to get to the Isle of Capri.

We couldn’t recommend it more! We stayed at Torre Cangiani in July where we spent a week to explore the Sorrento peninsula and Amalfi Coast. It is the perfect place to escape from the busyness of Amalfi or if you‘re looking for a break from your own busy everyday life with some good relaxation. Cristiano and his family have been amazing hosts, welcoming us and caring for us in the warmest and friendliest way — with little toys for our boy, fun and interesting conversations, respectful and thoughtful ways of tidying up our apartment, and treating us with their home-made products. My personal highlight was the daily home-made breakfast with the most incredible view towards the Tyrrhenian Sea (Capri to the left, the Vesuv to the right). We also booked a dinner on our first night which was very delicious (with lemon and seafood components). It had something magical to be present at this very special and unique place (living in a building from the 15th century) in a region that had already been popular among the ancient Greeks and Romans for similar reasons. We stayed at the library room/apartment with plenty of space for my partner, myself, and our 2-year old boy. Our son loved saying hello to the chicken in the near-by vegetable & fruit garden on a daily basis and we enjoyed being so close to nature — surrounded by olive and lemon groves and old pine trees.
