Deluxe room on the web did not reflected what we got on cite. The door lock broke on the last day. Breakfast: bad, very bad for a room that we paid 143 euros. Coffee from the machine very bad. Not worth the money we spent Parking: very inconvenient, we had to park on the road far away from the hotel Swimming pool: this was one of the two reasons why I choose this hotel. Location and the pool. The pool was embarrassing, old, with the lining totally broken. The skimming system (skimmers) were not working, so the surface of the pool was full of small debris. Air conditioning: it did work it our room, but on the back terrace there was a very large rented air conditioning device which was very, very noisy. The overall impression was that of an old hotel that lack proper maintenance, with an unacceptable swimming pool, inconvenient parking, below the standard breakfast, in a nice location and with kind and helpful staff,

The worst hotel. First of all, this hotel consist 2 building, the older and newer building. I don't know the situation at new building because I was placed at old building. the old building is very very nightmare hotel. First: lift is for 2 people only with no button inside, so if something bad happen inside the lift, u only can pray. Second: the room looks very very old, scary room, ac is avaiable but it can not be operated. Third: as u can see in my photos, I suddenly become insects hunter as soon as I come inside my room (and this situation happened too in my friends rooms) there are so many cockroach! Fourth: dirty water, look so yellow. Because so many accident in my room (and so did my friends rooms) we were dicided to leave and cancel may order. We move to another hotel (with the much better situation) near here.

Period décor, we love or do not like. But on the other hand one cannot love the manifest lack of maintenance… bathroom with tiled floor joints, earthenware or rotten silicone. Furniture sagging. Good morning water failure, balcony faded as possible, hanging wires in front… 2 beds of 80 on which we put 2 mattresses of 90 and that we gather to make a large bed… There are plenty of refreshments to make to be up to par… The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stopped by accident. Wandering the long lake. It was a pleasant surprise. Good reception. The hotel is part of a small chain. The rooms just revisited. Although the bathroom a bit dated but very clean. Environment with large common areas. Billiard. A good lake view breakfast. And even dinner at the restaurant gave us satisfaction. The atmosphere of the lake is the mistress. Good we will be back as soon as it gets warmer also has the pool hidden in the green. The garden is also a wonderful aperitif. Lake View.

The staff was very helpful Clean rooms and public areas. Nice outdoor Garden of which you are not used cause rain. Elegant Restaurant room. The only drawback is missing the PAY TV that in a rainy evening… could be useful.

Happened here with a smartbox, we had to change the date for unavailability of the structure. We had a very bad day in which we could not enjoy the beauty of the Hotel park, which overlooked our room, completely renovated, spotless and with a comfortable bed equipped with four pillows perfect for my Cervical sore. Great kindness on the part of all the staff, including the one in the restaurant, where we thoroughly dined on the evening of May 2nd. Excellent and abundant breakfast, both for the sweet part, and for the great variety of fresh fruit, perfectly clean and sliced (yellow and white melons, kiwi, oranges, pink grapefruit, pineapple).

Good lake front location, strategic for excursions to the Borromeo islands! Nice the park that surrounds it! To improve some aspects in the rooms, cleanliness excellent, good and varied breakfast! Check-in confusing, we were given a room and when we entered we realized it was already occupied (fortunately there was no one inside) would have been appreciated a little present or discount and not just excuses! With the number of rooms in the facility parking really small! However apart from these small disguides good hotel to try and improve to be up to 4 stars!

The property is quite pleasant and cozy. I think the hotel was wrong to set the type of Groupon. Let me explain: he created the Groupon half board and that is breakfast and dinner. For breakfast nothing to say apart from the hot drinks of the machine that were undrinkable. Dinner was a choice between a first or a second. If no substantial differences were paid, he risked fasting. The first evening, I chose a second dish paying 8 euros difference for the cut that was also on the menu. The second evening, not wanting to pay the difference, I had to choose for lack of swordfish, between trout or chicken. I chose chicken thinking of eating something more substantial, and I was brought a miserable, miserable leg. After all the two dinners at the hotel, we went to eat pizza in Stresa.

Villa Carlotta located 5 minutes from Stresa is an excellent value for money. There is no photo. The hotel is ideally located, the staff are highly qualified, dedicated, motivated, friendly. The bed was very comfortable We have a lake view room, idyllic view. Easy parking. The breakfast buffet is delicious, the fruits excellent. My wife can not drink dairy products: no worries, at the entrance of the buffet, we find different alternatives, without having to ask anything, and good. The meal at the restaurant is frankly worth the trouble, good card, excellent service again, with a master of hotel who knows it, advises wisely. So good that we went there every night of our stay. We would like to thank all the staff for our very nice stay. Bravo! And we look forward to returning home.

To note arrival the room was not made. After reporting it to the front desk, you will be given a new room. But total disappointment, dated decoration, broken door handle, bathroom with mold and little functional. I really do not recommend this establishment.

Bad experience. We start from the rooms: there is no hot water and the one that is there is yellow because of the rust in the pipes. Bathtub encaged and dirty, probably old too many years. To report the response of the technician called to remedy the problem: "Yes, the water is cold. ". Chapter Food: Menu with very little choice, cafeteria quality. Pasta with tomato, hard meat, a hospital risotto. Only sweets are saved, when still available (the ice cream provided by our menu was "finished"). We come to the meeting rooms: acoustics completely compromised by broken chests and not replaced, with an unbearable buzz that makes it impossible to play music. All seasoned with falling pieces of plaster from the ceiling for clear infiltration of moisture. You save only the waiter of the bar, very nice and friendly, and the view. For the rest a hotel that has had 4 stars probably decades ago and that today would deserve at most a couple. Not recommended!

Awful. Nicest part was when we left and after having our vodka and baileys bottles taken from the room. Hotel in dire need of refurbishment! Old worn and tired. The pool was unclean.

For me and my friends stay unqualifiable, from a hotel to 4 * you expect more seen the list costs. I'm sorry and not a little since I went there twice in the past with my parents. Now it was a past Nerl dip but I didn't know there was no water. I still thank the "Dear" director indeed director for his inflexibility and rigor, perhaps a two star hotel in Germany would be more comfortable with his personality. Nice view on lake front from the room window and check out scheduled for 12. The room Rispechiava The description I had been made. The parking (free) of the Hotel was full. Good breakfast, although I would have expected a few more choices. I would have liked to arrive a few words more about the possibility of parking, the "spontaneous" delivery of the tourist map of the country and a courtesy set of the larger bathroom. The only thing I just didn't like was the request of the sojourn tax at check out time (would have been courteous to say it at the time of booking).

This hotel is in horrible condition. External fate not very cared for and taken lightly Rececpcion very innovative and fashionable that completely clashes with the rest of the hotel that has an ancient style. The conditions the genes that of the rooms are also in bad condition starting from the carpet which is in a horrible state consumed and in many spots spotted, then there are the very few mattresses with little clean blankets with poor lighting not having lights and Having only vintage lamps with sockets incompatible with those of the cell phones and curtains absent, little space no bar fridge and then we go to the bathroom that is dirt on the ground having the pipes broken and all this makes it impossible to wash because of the yellow/brown water that Comes with hot water, same thing for the sink and the bidet. Just spent a New Year's Eve with dinner. Total 300 Euro double. Dinner of bad quality. Staff willing but disorganized at the Ceck out waited half an hour that prepared the receipt because not prepared before. A category hotel cannot make these mistakes. Breakfast with Macedonia with canned fruit.

Very spacious family suite, good bedding. Very nice view, with charming balcony. Very satisfying breakfast, very friendly staff. On the other hand, dinner is strongly discouraged. The bathrooms would need some work.

I went to Villa Carlotta in the hope that the reviews I have seen was a little bit skewed. Unfortunately they where not. This hotel really needs to step their game up. I was surprised that they actually had a good cooking course the last day of our stay. Fawlty Towers comes to mind, except this wasn't funny.

Let's start with the good thing: the location. Hotel Carlotta has a lovely view of Lago Maggiore. Unfortunately, the good things about this hotel ends there. I have no trouble with hotels that are slightly out of date as long as they have decent cleaning and some kind of charm, too bad Carlotta lacks all charm. It is just worn out. Even the people working there seem to be worn out. I went there for a conference with 17 colleagues and we experienced that the rooms are a lot different. In some the tap water is clear, in others you have to shower in yellow water. The housekeeping team must be blind, judging by the amount of dust and hair under my bed. Suggestions for improvements: -Fix the tap water, no one likes yellow water. -Make sure the night porter learns at least one word in English: key. We had to draw a picture of a key to make the guy understand what he should give us. -Educate the housekeeping team in how to use vacuum cleaner.

Seen so many bad reviews but our experience here has been extraordinary.

Nice location with nice overview over the lake, attentive staff and a generous breakfast buffet. Rooms are not updated. You can't control room temperature and very loudly because it's of the main road. I would not book it again.

It looks nothing like the pictures on the internet. It's a shabby looking place, with spartan rooms and not cosy at all.

Booked this hotel on a whim and then read the reviews after it and was expecting to walk into a mess of a building. Was so pleasantly surprised, yes the hotel is dated, yes there are a couple of issues but really nothing major. The hotel room we had was a superior room with a balcony and lake views. The receptionist was friendly and spoke excellent English, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, the grounds are lovely. I'd happily come back.

Situated only by a street separated by the lake, room small but nice, when booking to choose the higher category otherwise there are worse rooms, breakfast good, small pool in the garden, we have eaten lunch on the first day and were unfortunately not satisfied, salad without tuna and ham, was so ordered, Panini for 5 € terrible and my frozen pizza I have returned, but the kitchen still has to learn quite a lot. Wanted evening ice cream for the room, was always a big problem, well weather and surroundings great.

Hotel is old and looks worn. The hotel staff was very nice. Unfortunately we had to move from our room because when it rained the rain started to pour into our room through the roof and windows. We had to put towels on the floor to try to keep it dry. So the building is obviously old and in need of repair. Breakfast was very basic, nothing spectacular but ok. I attached pictures of the leaking cealing and windows.

Dated, rude staff, poor restaurant. We had a Superior Room and it was awful. Dreadful to think what the 'inferior: ones are like.

All the staff friendly, helpful. Clean. Lake front location convenient to the embarkations and trips in the surroundings. Free indoor Parking, many places also outside. Restaurant inside with Glazed lake view. Breakfast with food for celiacs and lactose intolerant. Large garden. The rooms need some renovation.

At the height of its glory certainly 20 years ago, this hotel has become dilapidated! Breakfast and no success!

Room without light. We had to wait in the dark for more than half an hour (after calling the front desk three times) to see an employee arrive who discovered that all the bulbs were electrocuted (who knows how long the room was not used). Room among other things cold. The reception staff is wrong to transcribe the personal data of a friend of the group and calls the police to do the checks blaming the mistake to the friend. Really unprofessional and poor service while the prices are not cheap either. I have seen places with many less stars with better services and prices. Stay away.

We arrived before check in time at noon. 50, until 1pm. 40 we were left waiting to tell us that the room was not ready, although we opted to go for lunch and come back later.
The schedule on the reservation was scheduled for 2pm. 00, I do not discuss this but kindness has been poor.
The room was not clean, mattresses hard and uncomfortable, shower curtain "Ikea" with stains of paint, the curtains were all stained, the doors greasy and with undefined halos and after 2 minutes of shower the bathroom was flooded; Luckily we had the lake view.
I would say that the 4 stars at this hotel perhaps were given many years ago, today I do not think so.
The garden behind beautiful but little cared for, the pool that had to be heated seemed a pond, abandoned to itself a bit like everything in the hotel.
The breakfast and the kindness of the girl who reserved to all the customers was only positive.

Hotel 3 stars is 'sufficient'. Indeed, the rustic style of the hotel is very nice being all the same rather disconcerting when you arrrive Hotel IBIS.
The Park is just beautiful (behind the hotel).
The pool (to infinity) is, with the perfect view on Lake Maggiore, the icing on the cake.
On the side of the meal, well the service is nice.
The food is good
The only negatives are: repetitive sounds of water in the hotel and also the expensive bartender wanting everything taken sell its cocktails that are, frankly, "bland (€ 7 to € 20 the coktail). " Then, the décor is. "old" (laugh)

We were untergebarcht for two days in this hotel.
We had reserved a room overlooking the Lake. I could see the Lake when I turned myself far out of the window and looked around the corner.
The entire hotel is very run-down. Still, you can see the style of the 70's on every corner. At this time, the hotel was renovated arguably the last time.
The joints were moldy in our bathroom and the joints so that after showering the carpet in the hallway completely drenched was leaking.

Home ds kind initially then everything very plain: paints and carpet to review ds room, restaurant excessively expensive for classic dishes (€ 87 to 2). Noisy groups despite a huge room, and icing on the cake, we had the feeling to bother with breakfast and left without taking it.
Expressed our dissatisfaction at the reception, result €10 of reduction for a final score of 177. Absolute record for a weeklong stay ds the North Italy, in front of Florence yet not given.
