Hotel Very clean, spacious with polite staff. Indoor Pool and spa on a sunny roof terrace — glorious. Rooms perfect. Dinner — waiters attentive and very respectful but 3 out of 4 dinner meals were dull to disappointing. The pizza was amazing and appeared to be cooked in a proper oven. Breakfast — we chose hotel for the buffet breakfast. Kids loved the breakfast buffet. A problem with the flavour of pre-prepared scrambled egg on buffet was quickly rectified with the chef making scrambled egg to order — really good quality scrambled egg and plenty of it. So we were all very happy.

The room sizes in this hotel cannot be faulted, nice breakfast. However, they “reserve” the full amount on your credit card and you actually have to specifically email them to unblock it even though you’ve paid. Also, we stayed there, paid and yet were charged over 400 euro for a no show because apparently we booked twice — makes sense that we would book two rooms, same dates, same family and throw away 400 euro — clearly either a booking system error on their system or on Booking. Com. No one thought to mention either that there was apparently two bookings under the same name for the same dates when we checked in or out — strange that. For that reason we won’t be staying here again — we have better things to do than endless emails back and forward trying to get our money back. Debited my credit card after I specifically did not authorize it, pending investigation into this “no show”. Also, there’s random druggies and alcoholics lingering around at night and the swimming pool I wouldn’t even class as a swimming pool — not kid friendly at all. The staff are nothing special, sub standard — one employee says one thing by email and the next says another.

A very good and central location to get around Milano, the breakfast was excellent, the room very clean and comfortable.

The hotel is quite good if you see what you pay for it.
But you should pay attention parking your car outside on their parking area. They broke our windows and stole our motorbikes just in front of the entry. It happened around 5.00am
The ladies and gentleman at the e frontdesk weren't surprised or shocked in any kind of way, at the Moment we told them what happened. What shows, this happens quite often.
We are wondering, why they aren't interested in solving this problem… We won't come back.

Comfortable and comfortable hotel. The rooms furnished with taste and spacious. The bed is large and comfortable. The cleanliness is carried out with care and the staff is courteous and professional. Breakfast is great. Strategic location for a visit to Lake Como, Monza and Canton Ticino. Value for more than good quality. Pan-pre-eminent swimming pool and equipped gym.

It a nice hotel. The rooms a great, you got a safe, a cooler and a bath/ shower combo. The only downside is that the beds a quite hard. There is a seperate elevator which goes to the welness center. There is a large swimming pool amd sauna, also a fitness room. The breakfast is also good with a lot of different choices. In the lobby there is a bar which is open to late at night. Overal a great hotel to stay at!

NEVER COME BY CAR TO THIS HOTEL! I arrived with my car. Parked it in front of the hotel and the morning after I realized the car windows was smashed and I got robbed of all my properties in the car! A damage of thousands of Euros, not to mention the terrible rest of the travel with a broken car, police reports, insurance reports etc. The hotel should take a lot more responsibility for the safety of car park in front of the hotel. For example by having at least a surveillance camera, if not a proper fenced area or a security service. Also, given the hotel area is a wild far west, the staff should warn arriving guests of the situation, advise not to leave anything in the car, letting guests park in a garage etc etc. The hotel manager should feel responsible of these kinds of situations, which of course they don't. I hope that some others will not fall into the same trap I got into…

The centre can also be reached on foot with walking along the shops.

The thing that I liked 1 bit less is that you give 1 regulation x who has dogs… In the sense… 1 series of bans is someone in my opinion excessive (you can not access the hotel bar with your dog and keep it in your arms)

Friends from Taiwan, come to Milan for a self-service trip can stay here, a train can be in half an hour to Milan district, Como Lake, Airport. You can also buy a day train ticket from here to play in Fox Town Outlet and Lugano, Switzerland. Cocktails are good to drink.

We had a very good week in the suite we had booked for 4. The parent bed was 2 meters wide! The breakfast buffet is excellent. There is a pool on the ninth floor with a clear view as well as a sauna, hammam and a very large well equipped gym. To get to Milan, there is the train station about 300 meters with a train every quarter of an hour. Very convenient.

Comfortable and quiet rooms All flawless. Tastefully decorated and quality components. Nice start day with pool on the 9th floor.

Good breakfast at will, perfect bedding pool at the top shame that the parking is paying otherwise very friendly staff.

Excellent hotel, clean, big rooms, good quality-price ratio, very helpful staff and food is very tasteful and various. You can relax in pool or sauna but you have to buy a swimming cap for 5 euros although very few of the guests had one on the pool so you can skip buying that. Near the hotel (about 200m) passes the train that goes straight to the center of Milan. The ride takes about 15 minutes and costs 2.9 euros.

Really nice and comfortable hotel. Very good quality to price ratio. The rooms are clean tidy with a spacious bathroom. Easy reachable from the highway.

I went to visit a meeting room and I found staff prepared and cordial who had the pleasure to illustrate with patience and courtesy the various solutions proposed by the hotel. While not having stayed I could see the quality of the common spaces.

Best hotel near Milan. Direct 10 min train from Malpensa Airport. Walk-able distance from train station.

We made reservations last minute and this was a good choose. Lobby neat and clean, they have a nice bar area and a restaurant. I ordered fish and a glass of moscato and both selections were great! My family said their food was good and the staff was super professional and nice. Our room was super spacious and this hotel is so close to the train station. Only issue is the hotel is in the middle of a not so good area but they do have a garage to park your car in for 8€. The breakfast is buffet style and I didn't enjoy it but this hotel would be good for a work cofferance.

City Hotel which unfortunately has not earned 4 *. In the room it drops to smoke and the hair from the predecessor were still in the bathroom. Check in was good…

Very nice hotel and (mostly) Nice staff. Is within walking distance of the small inner city of Saronno and around the corner of the train station, which is well connected to Milan, Como and Malpensa airport, so everything is almost at the door.

The hotel itself would have earned 5 stars. There was really everything tip too.
Unfortunately, in the outdoor parking (which is public and not part of the hotel) two of our cars were broken up and parts of it were stolen.
Invest better the €7 for the hotel's underground garage;-)

For Italian conditions, very good hotel and perfectly located and by train in 30 minutes to Milan or at the same time to drive to Lago Maggiore! The rooms are well equipped and all very clean and well maintained!

For my trips I always use the hotels in the chain and they are always a guarantee.

The room was clean and the staff was very polite. The only small problem is that the bathtub is a bit dark, do not know whether to use too much or did not wash clean. Train station, McDonald's, supermarket, pizza shop around, basically within five minutes can walk, very convenient.

Decent and with good breakfast. Make sure to bring a cap if you want to swim. The swimming pool requires one and there is nowhere to purchase one.

Great experience! Our experience at Starhotels Grand Milan was great from the check-in to check-out. The customer service was friendly and helpful. The most outstanding aspects were the lovely breakfast, spacious and clean room, the wellness was as advertised on the website and also we were pleasantly surprised at the (free) option to have a late check-out. The train station was indeed close to the hotel, but be sure to do your research on the ticket system (there are special trains that only accept 1st class tickets). There are also quite some restaurants in the vicinity and a supermarket. Would definitely recommend it!

Clean, efficient and decorated nicely. Comfortable beds and well-kept rooms. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to help. Breakfast was tasty with a varied selection. Couldn't ask for more for the price we paid.

I usually frequent business hotels, and I find the Starhotels an ideal compromise for those who travel and want a proper reference to relax in the comfort of a modern and elegant structure.

Lovely hotel in a sleepy part of Saronno. Guillano was very kind and helpful during check in. The rooms were very nice. The bathrooms were lovely with the tiling and the foot bath, but we had some trouble with the showerhead of the bathtub.

Fantastic staff. We had a Lovely 2 bedroom Suite with everything we needed. Swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room, jet spa showers endless relaxing treats.

On a tour of Italy and this is the best hotel we've been to. Good food, friendly service and comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling up in the area.

Nice hotel considering the room price — you get all the basic amenities, plus gym & pool. Centrally located, with quick access to the train station & nearby eateries. A 24/7 grocery store is 2mins away.

It's was a great hotel, service was fantastic, clean with great amenities such as pool n gym. But on check out they tried over charging our whole group for their room Bill and wanted us to double pay our accommodation, we had to show them receipts before they apologised and let us leave. This was very suspicious and I'd be wary.

Excellent room, very new hotel. Normal breakfast. Bad thing is that it is on the outskirts of Saronno, there is nothing close (1 a nice restaurant pizzeria in the esquinaesquina, nothing more). Taxi Milan €60

Pros: We stayed there for two nights and were very satisfied. A good value 4 star hotel, clean and modern. Good room with good bathroom. They also have a spa, but unfortunately we didn't have a chance to visit it. The train station to the center of Milan is about 5 mins walking. It takes around 20-25 mins to reach the center. Late in the night the train stops on every station so it takes around 45 mins, but you can also take Malpensa express and reach the hotel in about 15 mins, which was very comfortable. The breakfast was with good variety, although not all the things was of the best quality. Overall, we were very satisfied from this hotel. Cons: The open parking is public with restriction for one hour. Luckily we stayed there for the weekend, so there was no restriction. The garage costs 6 euros per night.

High prices, but the food is really good, clean and you are served hand and foot.

Personally I have tried both the catering business than that of hospitality: both I have met a lot although I admit that the prices are not cheap. In short, a good service that wants to rightly be remunerated.

Good hotel, new, clean and comfortable.

This was a hotel booked for us on a corporate visit. The basic facilities in the hotel are missing, the Wifi is extremely slow and is restricted to two devices. There are no provisions for water, coffee or tea in the room, neither there is an option in the room service menu to order them as well. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable though.

Very elegant looking hotel, immense and bright Conference Hall restaurant on the ground floor. Breakfast in keeping with hotels in this category. The spacious and light colours and clean. The pitfalls of this standard are definitely the tiny TV 4:3 with a few channels and no sky and the Internet free but very slowly a few kb, otherwise charges apply. Very well connected with the train station within walking distance.

We booked a family room in advance months. When we arrived at the reception, we tried the receptionist with the absurd justifications for the same price a small "classic room" unterzujubelen. After we have seen the room and the staff have made it clear that it is not the booked, not even apologized them. We've got the right room immediately even though it previously said that they have no such room. Rooms are large and pleasant, however, it has virtually no outlets. Staff in the restaurant is excellent — exemplary location-> station just around the corner.

We chose this hotel as a landing spot for our first nights in Europe on a 3 week trip. It is a 3 minute walk from Saronno station, which is midway between MPX and central Milan. It is clean modern and well appointed and the staff are professional and helpful. It is an extremely good value. Saronno is not a major tourist stop, but there are old churches and a very nice walking shopping area within easy walks.

The restaurant's bacon but prices are exaggerated and the quality is not excellent.
