Suites Menaggio

We were here for 4 nights and really enjoyed staying here! The location is so convenient — it’s close to lots of amazing bistros/restaurants, the ferry terminal, bus stops, a supermarket, and even a mini golf course. It’s also right above an amazing gelateria, so that was a bonus! Alberto was extremely friendly and helpful, and communicating with him was a breeze :)
Personally, we really enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the square and found ourselves chilling at one of the many bars just outside every evening. Only small thing to note is that you’ll have to climb the stairs, so that may be an issue for some. But other than that, an amazing stay and we can’t wait to be back!

Our engagement trip was ruined by how we were treated here by the general manager, Alberto.
We booked 2 nights at Suites Menaggio through Agoda (part of Booking. Com). On the second day, Alberto told us he hadn’t been able to charge us for the first night and insisted we pay again immediately by card, despite me showing confirmed payment on both my bank statement and the Agoda booking.
I called Agoda support, and the agent confirmed the property had already received full payment. They even called Alberto directly to explain the issue. Any reasonable manager at that point would understand the problem was on their side and not the guest’s.
But not Alberto. He continued to pressure us to pay again by card, treating me like some sort of thief. I even told him we were celebrating our engagement and that he was ruining it, but he showed no empathy at all. After 45 minutes of tense back-and-forth, he finally left our room, leaving us feeling stressed and anxious.
The next morning, I called him to ask if we could proceed with checkout. He responded casually, as if nothing had happened, saying I shouldn’t worry and the issue was now resolved. I found it incredibly unprofessional that I had to chase him for confirmation, instead of him reaching out to us once it was clear we had done nothing wrong.
Alberto handled this situation so poorly, with such disregard for basic hospitality, that I simply cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Staying at the Suites of Menaggio was an absolute delight! From our initial inquiry, Alberto was incredibly responsive and attentive, ensuring all our questions were promptly answered. His exceptional service truly enhanced our experience.
The suites' location couldn't have been more perfect, right in the heart of the town square. This allowed us to easily immerse ourselves in Menaggio's vibrant atmosphere, with charming shops and restaurants just steps away. We especially loved the terrace for enjoying brioches and greeting the day.
Waking up to the stunning view of Lake Como from our suite was simply breathtaking. Our suite was comfortable, well-appointed, and contributed to a truly memorable stay. We were surprised to find it equipped with a newly added small stove and refrigerator, which we used to enjoy pasta from the local grocer.
We highly recommend the Suites of Menaggio and extend a special thank you to Alberto for his outstanding hospitality!
