Unable to stay at the hotel/suite as it is next door to a club which plays loud music playing until 3am. Hotel booked for our honeymoon. Had to check out a day early as could not sleep, and slept in the kitchen on the floor the only night we stayed. Hotel agreed to provide a refund which we are still waiting for. Management sent rather aggressive messages to myself and my husband, so slightly sceptical on the refund.
We stayed at Hotel La Dependance in April. This hotel has the same management as Hotel du Lac, where the reception for check-in and check-out is located. We chose a double room with a lake view, and the view was wonderful. The room was quite large with old-style decoration. The hotel is located in the village's main square, where there are some cafes, bars, and a tavern. There is a bistro for breakfast and light meals at Hotel Du Lac, about 50 meters away. In April, there are not many tourists on Lake Como and in Menaggio, and the atmosphere is pleasant with few people and not much noise around the site.

The rooms had a really bad sewage that I could smell throughout the room and bathroom, we told the receptionist and they cleaned the smell but not the source. To get there you have to go around the alleyway to get in, and the elevators are small and only 4 to 5 people can only really fit. The views are great. Beds and stuff were good, no phone, no desk, soap is weird. The plugs don't have the universal outlet. Pretty hard to find the entrance.
