La Dependance

We stayed at Hotel La Dependance in April. This hotel has the same management as Hotel du Lac, where the reception for check-in and check-out is located. We chose a double room with a lake view, and the view was wonderful. The room was quite large with old-style decoration. The hotel is located in the village's main square, where there are some cafes, bars, and a tavern. There is a bistro for breakfast and light meals at Hotel Du Lac, about 50 meters away. In April, there are not many tourists on Lake Como and in Menaggio, and the atmosphere is pleasant with few people and not much noise around the site.

Great hotel. Rooms are clean baby friendly has elevator well prepared cot. Location is just the best and the view from the window oversees the lake roofs and mountain. Small balcony as well. Great value for money. Yes its not 5* hotel but for what it is you cant ask for more.

I spent one night at this hotel, they asked me to leave at 10 am and we had a tour booked, so we left our bags in their care at the front desk. That same day, we picked up our luggage at 2:45 pm. From there, we headed to the Milan airport for our flight. When we arrived at the airport, we opened our suitcase to arrange it and make it more compact, and my daughter realized she was missing several items, including eight blouses from Polo Ralph Lauren, Brandy Melville, and Aritzia (all small sizes) all with an approximate value of USD 500. Prior to leaving the hotel room (number 402) I helped my daugther packing and the ítems were there. I emailed the hotel explaining the situation but we never received any response, more than half of the clothes that she brought for this trip was gone while the luggage was in their care.
