Excellent hotel, great service and very friendly staff.

Thevworst hotel experience I have ever had, avoid at all costs. First of all the pictures by the hotel have nothing to do with the real life hotel itself, so prepare yourself for a massive shock. Secondly, don’t ever use the breakfast bar there or expect the rudest unprofessional staff who would tell you what to do. I went there for a night after breaking up with my wife to get some headspace, and first thing in the morning as I sit at a table by the window the waitress starts telling me that I’m not allowed to sit there because I am by myself and thats the rule! Then keep whispering to her colleagues in Italian and you dont need to know the language fluently to understand what they are saying. Once her argument with me was over they all went off and never even offered me service that I bloody paid for. Unbelievable! The guy at reception was nice, but not very useful as I made a complaint and all he had to say was he will pass it on to their manager! Dont waste your money there, there are plenty of better places you can go to around there.

Hotel that has known, in the past, better times. In the room, air conditioning does not exist. What about a closet, locked through the handles by a ribbon, containing the kitchen?
In the stairwell, an old carpet of the "70s and an unsustainable heat.
Surely, it is not up to the 4 declared stars. Usurp.

Great view out over the sea from our room although no balcony! Good to cool off in the Mediterranean over the road! Breakfast was chaos with 2 big buses leaving and not opening til 7.30am.

The Wi-Fi was awful and didn’t work. I’ve tried in my room, near windows, the lobby and dining room. I tried to upload 3 pictures at a time. It didn’t upload.
Our tour bus came and stayed for 2 nights. The staff needs to increase the help for the breakfast room and time. There were 2 working for a group of 50 people. You couldn’t get espresso drinks. The staff couldn’t keep up with the needs. The location is great so it gets a 5 Star for that.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Very impressed with the staff who did everything to help and the breakfast was wonderful. Set me up for a day of cycling around the beautiful lake.

We had the corner mini suite and it was excellent. Roomy, clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast, great view from the balcony and handy to shops and restaurants. We would definitely rebook this Hotel. I don't recommend the restaurant which I have reviewed separately for the sake of the rest of this beautiful Hotel.

I was with my baby on the 24th and 25th April 2018, very nice hotel, the staff wonderful, attentive and helpful to any need, room that overlooked the sea clean and very spacious, breakfast am and abundant. A two minute walk from the station and a stone's throw from the ferries that organize transport x the various excursions.

Having a Bofrost gift certificate for 2 nights for 1 person, I ask to know what difference I would have to pay for the other 2 components of my household. I am told that the hotel no longer adheres to the initiative since November 2017, although this expires in June 2018. I'm going to tell Bofrost that he's going to clarify the matter. After a couple of days I am answered that the hotel, in the days I requested is under renovation and therefore cannot accept my reservation. Too bad that, requiring a stay for the same dates with Booking, the hotel is available. What about? Clowns!

My wife and I first stayed at the Lido Palace to find a peaceful place along the Ligurian Coast. We also used the location as the midpoint to find her family in Italy! We ended up adding most of the Lido's staff to our family. They helped us make arrangements to find family and have some of the most memorable experiences of our lives. In the process we built relationships with several staff members that will last a lifetime. So much so, we visited again the very next year. While most of you want to hear about the location and the rooms, I think it is very important that you know you will be treated with the highest level of kindness and diligence during your stay. The rooms are great and the view is breath taking. The location is perfect for walking to everything in Santa Margherita, and there is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. There is also a ferry (tickets can be purchased at the hotel desk), that will take you anywhere on the Ligurian Coast. The train station is a 5 minute walk providing easy access to further destinations. I have traveled in many countries in Europe and rate Lido Palace as the best experience I have had during those trips. Highly recommend!
