This is a lovely hotel. It is immaculate and centrally located within walking distance of Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novana and The Vatican. Large, airy air conditioned room. Overlooks busy road so if you are noise sensitive a good pair of ear plugs will solve the problem!

Really a strong point for the welcome. Our room was spacious and the bed very good.
A refreshing of the room and the shower room would be necessary. Breakfast is ok but the room is really a little small. Overall we had a good stay at this property.

The hotel was very good. By location. A bit old the entrance and arriving does not give you a good feeling, but when you go up up changes. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and the room was very good. Good breakfast. But the dining room was very small. The worst the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom. From the 4 days we were alone they made us the beds and clean towels and soaps, but they did not clean the toilets even one day. … if it weren't for that I would give you the five stars.

Great location, clean room but should be renovated, good breakfast, friendly staff.

Some tooms was cold without aircondition. And they did not give solution.

We were a week ago, outside to very cold but the room was always cozy, housekeeping was pretty good, the staff very friendly especially when we had to ask for more pillows, they responded right away. Breakfast was quite varied, the location was excellent, we were close to everything. In short, our stay was very pleasant.

I spent a week here… I had a great time… Super Staff Fabulous breakfast and buffet in the pool… To be back definitely.

Atypical of this type of hotel. A large family room with 3 single beds for myself & 2 children. A very clean, well maintained older style hotel. My daughter was delighted to see a bidet in the bathroom. Marble staircase & antique elevator added to the charm. It is too bad that the government charges a city tax if €4.00 per person per night. This is to be collected once you check out. In Australia & other parts of the world any such tax is measured in the price of the room. Upon arrival we had Nicola escort us to our room. He made quiet polite conversation about our trip & was charming. Able to assist in all of our inquiries. I had a nice time here at the Augustea. The beds were comfortable & firm. No lumpiness or sagging. I did sleep well. When coming back to Rome I will see about staying here.

It was a very good location. Furniture maybe a little old but big and comfortable room. Good value for money.

I loved it, very good location, comfortable, excellent reception, highly recommend it. If we return to Rome, we chose to stay at the Hotel Augustea.

Hotel in city centre, easy access, clean. Friendly staff. Specially Nikola (receptionist) superb service.

You get what you pay for. My so called travel agent (Broadway Travel Resevoir) booked me into this hotel, it was supposed to be 3.5 star. I give it one. Noisy, found towels dirty, fridge not plugged in, no where to plug it in. Air con so old and noisy. Complained about shower as it was blocked. Said they would fix it, we arrived on the Sunday, left on the Tuesday and still not fixed. Water was up to our ankles while showering and even had disgusting hair bits come up from the pipe. The Breakfast is very basic with a little fruit available. It would have been nice if it was fresh and not something that's been sitting there for days. The only thing going for it is the location. Building very old and in desperate need of new plumbing and new furnishings. Stayed in this hotel late July 2017.

Very good location, however you notice that it does not modernize or maintain.

Great location, friendly staff. Perfect for a short trip (4 nights) as our room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. Only 10 minutes from the colosseum and on a road full off cafes, bars, restaurants, ice cream, shops etc.

I stayed here with my husband for 3 nights last sat May 6th for our Anniversary we had a fabulous time staff are very friendly and helpful noting is too much trouble we would definitely return as it's a perfect location for all the sights was very sad to leave thank u so much for on making our first visit to Rome a memorable one.

Very good location. The area has all the basic services to be fine. Excellent staff attention. Good mastery of Spanish. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and fresh. Spacious and clean room. The only downside is related to accessibility. I'd say it's the big problem the hotel has. However, if I returned to Rome, I would stay there again.

You get what you pay for. Location is very convenient…

The hotel is located in via Nazionale, a few steps from the Metro A, exactly Repubblica stop.
So well provided by public transport.
Room small, but neat and clean.
We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Really courteous staff, but in particular Nicholas, really a great one. I recommend it.

The hotel is not very nice. One of the receptionists was kind of rude and he made me check out before the right time. I stayed in a single room and it was too small. Breakfast was good. The entrance is not beautiful. The elevator is awful.

One plug socket in the entire room, and the fridge was plugged into that how are we meant to charge phones laptops etc. Breakfast good, would have liked some fresh fruit like apples. Staff friendly and happy to help. Toilet cistern drips.

Good value, simple hotel very close to central attractions and metro. Can't complain.

Web pictures totally deceiving rooms dingy and noisy breakfast area small dingy poor food web pictures all seem to be of reception area, no terrace or bar were shown to us left after one night too noisy.
