Chapter Roma

​I absolutely love this hotel! It’s rated at four stars, but it honestly feels like even more. The location is hard to beat, and taxis can pull right up to the front entrance. After five days of shopping in Rome, I discovered that the stretch between the hotel and Campo de' Fiori is one of the best shopping streets in the city. It’s also just 5 minutes to Trastevere, 10 minutes to Ancient Rome, and perfectly located if you want to do an early morning run along the Tiber River path.
​I booked a single bed and ended up with the biggest balcony in the hotel—it was incredible! The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet with plenty of space, and the water pressure was next level.
​The service here is exceptional. The room is cleaned every day, and the 24-hour reception is incredibly responsive; whenever you call, they make your request happen immediately. They also serve a phenomenal, proper breakfast. On top of that, there is a tiny but excellent cocktail bar on the 4th floor serving great drinks. A major bonus: the basement washroom completely saved the day so my wife and I didn't have to fight for the bathroom in the morning! I will definitely be back to stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Chapter Roma!
From the moment I arrived, the welcome was warm and attentive. The entire team made me feel very comfortable throughout my stay.
On my first evening, I was working quite late and asked for my room not to be serviced the following day. Despite that, the housekeeping staff kindly came by just to make sure everything was okay for me, which I found very thoughtful.
I was also served a cappuccino by a lovely young woman who, I believe, is Italian but speaks excellent French, a small detail that made the experience even nicer.
A sincere thank you to the entire team: reception, service staff, and the breakfast team, who were all consistently kind and welcoming.
Another detail I really appreciated was the terrace. I think it's not yet fully open for the season (spring/summer I guess) which is normal (so drinks and service are not available yet), but the weather was lovely and I enjoyed working there on my laptop and taking a few work video calls in the fresh air.
The hotel is also perfectly located. I was able to explore many of Rome’s most beautiful landmarks on foot, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Vatican, and the charming Trastevere neighborhood just across the bridge.
Before leaving, I also left a small note on the notepad in the room to thank the team. Hope they found it :)

Stayed from Thursday 29th of January to Sunday 1st of February 2026 with my partner, as she booked a surprise trip for my birthday. Arrived at the hotel around midday, others guests were checking in/out, and a reception team member offered for us to sit down near by and they said they'd come and get us for our check in, very thoughtful to offer after an early morning flight from Ireland.
André checked us in, he mentioned the reason behind the trip and asked to my partner if she managed to keep the destination a surprise, which showed great emotional intelligence, anticipation and professionalism, and what we would be in for the rest of our stay. André informed us that our room was not ready, which was expected as the check in time was said to be 3pm, so not a problem, as we went for some food and a wander around after leaving our luggage with André.
We were back at the hotel around 3:15pm, André informed us the room was ready, that our bags luggage had been brought to the room, and that we were offered a double upgrade, you can imagine how delighted and surprised we were!
We get in the room, a suite, which was absolutely stunning, classy, comfortable, and well equipped, what a treat!
Fast forward 7pm we decide to eat at the hotel Michelin guide recommended restaurant choosing the easy option and willing the enjoy the 20% discount hotel guests get to enjoy on food. Check out Campocori, amazing. Sean the restaurant manager and his team looked after us perfectly.

I really wanted to give Chapter Roma a great review because the hotel itself is very cool, but we had some major issues that made our 5-night stay really stressful.
First, the room we were given looked nothing like the photos on Expedia or the website. It was significantly smaller and felt like a bait-and-switch for the price we paid. On top of that, the shower rod fell on us the first day, and the bathroom flooded every single time we showered for the entire trip. Even after they "fixed" it twice, the water kept going everywhere.
The worst part, though, was our checkout. The hotel called a taxi for us to the airport, and the driver tried to scam us. He demanded €65 instead of the legal €55 flat rate and actually refused to let us out of the car until we paid the higher amount. It was honestly a scary situation to be held in a vehicle like that.
While the management has been very apologetic via email and is investigating the driver, the combination of the room misrepresentation and the safety issue with the taxi made this a really disappointing experience.

Four days at Chapter Roma and I’m officially spoiled for every hotel after this.
The location is perfect—tucked away enough to feel peaceful, close enough to walk everywhere that matters.
The design is stunning without being pretentious.
But can we talk about the staff? These people care. Genuinely. The morning team learned how we take our coffee by day two.
It’s the kind of place where you leave feeling like you made friends, not just checked out.
Already recommended it to three people.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Chapter Roma.
The service was outstanding — truly above and beyond. We arrived with our one-year-old baby, and the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful every single time we needed assistance. Their warmth and professionalism made us feel very comfortable and welcome.
The hotel’s location is excellent: very close to the kosher restaurants in the Jewish Ghetto, and within easy walking distance of many interesting and beautiful sites around Rome.
The rooms were a bit on the smaller side, but they were very comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully decorated with a charming, classic style. Overall, it was a pleasure staying there, and we would absolutely recommend this hotel.

As a magazine editor from New York and a new resident in Rome, finding places that feel genuinely welcoming matters. This bar exceeded every expectation. From the moment we sat down, Matteo made us feel completely at home. He was warm, friendly, and incredibly hospitable, creating an experience that went far beyond great cocktails.
The ambiance is beautiful, but it was the personal touch that stood out most. We were encouraged to stay, to come back, and truly felt welcomed. It is the most at home we have felt so far while living in Rome, and it will absolutely become our new neighborhood bar.

We were looking for a place near Trastevere but on the Rome side. Took ages to find Chapter Roma — thanks Algos.
Bed was super comfortable, we slept really well. Special thanks to Sofia and André for their help and hospitality.
The style is I think (observation of interiors elsewhere) quintessentially Roman and certainly unusual.
The lighting was a little dim, but added to the atmosphere and loved having a real bathroom window. Would remove the tassels on the robes — > water.
Location is wonderful. Far enough from the throngs, especially love the entrance, local enough to have normal stores but super central. Even the main road leading up to largo Argentina is pretty calm by Rome standards.
In all a very distinctive and memorable stay. Rome was fabulous as ever. 6 straight days of Sun helped too the cobbles, cars and crowds not so fun in rain. Thanks everyone. Joyeux Noël from Nizza.

This place is amazing, from the rooms to the staff and the location. Our corner room was absolutely beautiful with 2 large windows with lovely views over the rooftops — as well as a well stocked mini bar, stylish furnishings and a large bathroom. The staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome, and even surprised us with extras in our room to celebrate both my partners birthday and our engagement. Their care and attention was very genuine, and this extended to the bar staff who were also made aware of our special occasion.
The location is fantastic, in a quiet yet bustling neighbourhood within easy walks of the colosseum, Roman forum, pantheon, trevi fountain and many other points of interest. There are also bus and tram stops close by.
We will 100% be returning when back in Rome, and would recommend to anyone.

The Chapter Roma Hotel has a great location. You can actually walk everywhere. It has a cool style. Our room was spacious enough, with two large windows in the bedroom and a window in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The minibar was well-stocked, although it lacked sweets.
There were a few things we didn't like, like the shower only having a rain shower head and not always very hot water. Better lighting by the bathroom mirror would also be nice.
Breakfast was very good. Everything was of good quality, and we didn't get bored during our seven-day stay.
However, we want to emphasize that our excellent rating is mainly due to the excellent service. Excellent service at the front desk – special thanks to Sophia and Andre. The service at breakfast was also very friendly.
The hotel also has a restaurant, Campocori, where we had a wonderful dinner – one of the two best in Rome. The food and service (special thanks to Sean) deserve not only a Michelin Guide appearance but also a star! And finally, the wonderful bartenders Matteo and Patrizio, true cocktail stars who create a wonderful atmosphere!

A thoughtfully designed hotel we’re still dreaming about six months later.
We stayed at Hotel Chapter Roma during the summer high season and left with a very positive impression. The hotel is set in a beautifully restored centuries-old Roman building, thoughtfully updated with contemporary design that feels comfortable and refined, but not overdone.
The location is a real standout. It’s an easy walk to Campo de’ Fiori, the Jewish Ghetto, and Trastevere, where we easily could have had every meal if time had allowed. Being able to explore so much of Rome on foot made the stay feel relaxed and immersive, without being in the most congested tourist areas.
Our room was well designed, quiet, and comfortable — especially appreciated after long days exploring Rome. Housekeeping was consistent, and the overall condition of the hotel felt well cared for.
What really elevated our stay was the staff. The front desk team was excellent, with Gianmarco being an exemplary part of that group — professional, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The concierge and guest relations team were equally impressive, offering thoughtful assistance, great recommendations, and a sincere interest in making our stay enjoyable.
A special mention goes to the rooftop bar, Hey Güey, which was a wonderful place to unwind after hot days of touring — relaxed, lively, and a great way to end the evening without even leaving the hotel.

Had a wonderful stay here! Barbara, Jacopo, Shaun and Momo were awesome. Checked in late around 10PM but they were gracious and welcoming. Room was super clean, bed comfy. They give complimentary bottle of Acqua Panna inside the room. Soaps were of high quality. Could definitely recommend for a great stay in Rome.

Excellent experience at the Chapter Hotel. Convenient location — easy walking distance to major sites and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Clean — the room and bathroom was spotless, the sheets and towels were sparkling white and there was no nasty carpeting and excessive window coverings. Breakfast — wide selection and delicious. Staff members — most importantly, every person working here was pleasant, helpful and genuinely happy to be part of the Chapter Hotel.

Chapter Roma delivered another standout stay for us. Last year set a high bar, yet this visit felt even smoother and more polished.
The hotel feels modern, calm and welcoming. Rooms stay clean, stylish and comfortable, with beds that support real rest. Staff offer sharp, warm service and keep everything effortless.
The location places you close to great food, shopping and major sights.
We will be staying here again in a few weeks before heading home to Australia because the experience is consistently excellent.

Amazing boutique hotel, the room was clean and well appointed, the staff was the friendliest and helpful we've ever come across in our travels. The location is walking distance to most sights and easy to get to. The bar is great and the bartenders were awesome. I can't speak highly enough about our stay here and would definitely come back.

Chapter Roma is the perfect stay for travelers who are either just passing through Rome or enjoying Rome thoroughly. The hotel has a nice rooftop bar which has a nice view of Rome which is worth checking. My favorite part is the staff and the service. In the short 1 night stay, they made me feel very welcome.
