I was concerned and nervous when I booked this hotel and then jumped onto Trip Advisor to see the reviews to discover that this hotel is apparently not so great. We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. The hotel is not very well located that's a given, but for a cheap price I can not fault it. I paid £360 for 2 people for 5 nights here and it was great. The entrance is beautiful and well air conditioned and the star were very welcoming and friendly. We were a bit early so they let us into our room early too which was great after a long morning of travelling. The room was great. Not amazing views but we didn't spend that much time in there. The bathroom was lovely although a few imperfections such as scratches on the tap, small dents in the bath tub, a slightly loose shower handle, a light up mirror that was a bit damaged and did not light up and a screen that didn't keep the water in when showering resulting in the floor being soaked after every shower. Our room was a good temperature although make sure you keep the windows closed when sleeping because we were covered in bites when we got home. Our bed was 2 single beds pushed together but we did not actually notice until the last day. The swimming pool was good — Medium sized and did the job. The mini bar was quite pricey and was not always attended. But nice and a decent amount of sun loungers. Quite a diverse range of people from adults on a stag do to young families with loads of kids so if you're hoping for a hotel with no kids this is not the place. The hotel was quite far away from everything so if you're looking to be central you might be better off elsewhere. The nearest train station was a 20 minute or so walk and the bus stop was 5 mins away so all in all not the worst although please do note to get to the train station you have to walk a fairly steep hill. Travel cost in Rome is miniscule. For 100 minutes worth of travel its 1 euro 50 — A bargain! Restaurant was good — a bit pricy and too much parmesan for my liking but good and worth going to. The breakfast was alright/good pretty basic stuff but kept us going until dinner most days. The only points I would recommend for this hotel to change would be: 1) Stop making the staff wear black trousers, a shirt, a waistcoat and a bow-tie in this heat. The staff were sweating and looked so worn out as a result. It's not needed. 2) Maybe 1 or 2 more members of staff would be good. 3) A few imperfections in the room that could be quite simply fixed. The floor being soaked by the shower was not ideal. All in all a good hotel I would recommend for anyone looking for a decent place to stay for a cheap and reasonable price. If you're looking for a higher level of class and if you're bothered by imperfections at a hotel I would recommend staying somewhere else. But this place is great for couples and families. P. S — The hotel quoted us a charge of £130 for a taxi DO NOT BOOK THIS as the hotel have added an extra £40 or so to the actual price. You can either get a taxi from outside the airport for £48, a shuttle bus for £20 per person or the best option a train. It's about £10 per person for the train and not as hard as you think. Not quite a 4 star hotel but a 3 1/2.
