Great service, every employee was helpful. They know the area, helped with traveling and touring around the city. The issue we had was it was a shared bathroom, no AC, no screen on the windows so to let the air come in and keep mosquitoes out. It was a lovely hotel though.

Nice and friendly staff, great view and location next to the waterfront, delicious coffee and a nice simple breakfast, comfy bed, good plumbing. Quite hot in August without AC but they provide a fan and if you keep the shutters closed in the day and put the fan on maximum it is pleasant enough. There are also mosquitoes due to the traditional windows but there’s a mosquito repellent machine included.

A vintage hotel on the water, this place apparently has been in the same ownership for decades. The place is not that modern, with some rooms not having private bathrooms. My room had a private bathroom and looked out onto the canal. No air conditioning but the windows provided a good breeze, however, due to some warping they didn't close properly and I didn't want to force them in case they broke. Unfortunately I have very attractive blood to mosquitoes and suffered because of it. No idea what would have happened if the windows I closed, but I'm sure some of the bites were because of it. That said, the place is beautiful and the staff are friendly, breakfast was a nice spread and I was happy with what was on offer. It's proximity to San Basilio Ferry terminal was one of the reasons why I chose is (as well as the price which was a steal! ), and it certainly delivered on providing a comfortable bed, a hot shower and a place to store my luggage during the day.

We LOVE this place and go back every year! We love the family atmosphere and the lovely antique rooms and furniture. The family is very welcoming. Great value for money.

What an enjoyable experience! Quaint Venitian home turned into a family run hotel. Decorated with antiques. Friendly helpful staff. Room was comfortable and clean and the bed had a good mattress. Great location. The electrical outlet actually had a plug in for US devices! This is not your standard, typical chain hotel. We loved it and will definitely come back.

We were guests at this guesthouse for Easter, the location is great, quiet area and from the room you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Grand Canal. All the staff were very kind, helpful and prepared for every request. Although we did not have the bathroom in the room, the shared one we always found clean and fragrant. The locals would be a little bit to modernize, but they still have their charm. Breakfast is both sweet and savory.

My husband and I came to Venice for a lovely Easter weekend together. Well, it didn’t start off very lovely. We arrived pretty late to Pensione Seguso (around 12:30am) and the man who checked us in seemed kinda gruff. Maybe I should’ve let them know that we’d be arriving late? Anyhow, we went up to our room and we were very surprised, in a bad way. Granted, the room was CLEAN and the temperature was fine. We also had our own bathroom (which I ensured beforehand). However, the bed was ROCK HARD. It was like sleeping on the ground. If I want a camping experience, I’ll go camping. Our air mattress is more comfy than that bed was! We were in room 36. No TV either, and everything was very old, which wasn’t a huge deal but just FYI to others. The heater had chipped paint on it, which was a bit concerning. The only positive quality (other than the cleanliness) was the view. We were right on the canal and it was beautiful in the morning. However, since we’d gotten in so late we slept in (and missed breakfast), and around 10:30am a maid walked in on us sleeping! We briefly woke up (as the doorframe was loose and the door was difficult to open, therefore noisy) and she exclaimed “excuso! Excuso! ” upon seeing us in bed. We did not see any “do not disturb” sign to hang on the door like every other hotel we’ve been at. We were greeted by a more friendly man that day and we asked for additional pillows which were provided.

Hugely disappointing stay. For 3 days I wasn't able to have a shower and left the hotel in this state to fly home to Australia. The pillow was so flat that I had to put a blanket under it as that was the only option as no other pillows were available. When the bed was made up the next day it was left like that without even offering another or additional pillow. The breakfast room was freezing and the rolls were stale No compensation was given and no option to shower somewhere else was either. I do not recommend this hotel and it doesn't deserve the one star I had to give.

Excellent location and view, good breakfast and very near to the water bus station.

Nice place to stay… there isn't any aircon in the rooms… you have to be careful in summers as mosquito bites won't let you sleep.

I remember often about the very nice pensione seguso last years during the times of drawing-excursions 2006-2014. My overnight-stays there was very wonderful. So at lasr year again the rooms with historic classic interior and view to laguna and canal vio are very nice. I would like come later again.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! Very very helpful and nice staff! Best location by the water and a canal and a wonderful feeling of Venice without being in the worst tourist district. :-)! Close to the boat that takes you around and close to fine museums and churches. Thank you.

The pensione is great, if you don't mind sharing the bathroom. Thre are 3 in each floor, so there's no queue. During summer the pension tend to be too warm.
