Hotel Santa Marina

My sister and I vacationed there in September. The hotel is very Italian and we loved it. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

I really liked the location, very close to everything and very quiet, with views of the canal and a door to go outside to enjoy the fresh air just to the side of the room, without the need of going through the hotel and pier in the same door.

Lovely great location. Elegant suite room.

We were given the suite in the hotel which was lovely. Staff were very pleasant and breakfast was good.

Very well kept and clean place in great location in downtown Venice. All the staff very helpful and friendly… Except for the concierge/reception staff! A smile and a demonstration of availability never fails!

I just arrived at the Hotel Santa Marina Venice to spend 3 romantic days together with my girlfriend a nightmare never seen… guys suck hair from for everything in the bathroom the mold does not tell you in the bedroom guys and a 4 star the Chliente pays and wants to find Puli However, I do not recommend it to you, nor do you have to do it in anderen Seiten ihr Müst auf das Hotel verzichten überal Ligen Hare Schimmel in der Children guys Lueget auf was ihr Buechet auf jeden Fall nicht das Hotel.

Nice location, close to some beautiful restaurants and shops. Stayed in the annex with a lovely view of a canal however would of liked some healtheir options at breakfast.

Rustic yet remodeled. Our room was on the canal and we could watch the gondolas pass. It had been remodeled and had a great bathroon
Breakfast was very good with lots of options.
Eating on the patio was awesome. Once you get your bearings it's convenient walking to famous sites.

We recommend to all unpretentious.

Hotel between the Rialto Bridge and the Doge's Palace on a small place in quiet but not far from the trade and restaurant room very well only flat a little trouble with the bath has a nice breakfast.

Very good hotel, very favorable location because a few steps from Rialto. Very clean and spacious rooms, we stayed in a triple/suite with 2 children and the room is very large with dependance with sofa bed, bathroom also very spacious with jacuzzi. Bed 2 squares and a half, very comfortable. All very clean. The rooms also seem to be well soundproofed. Professional staff and always friendly. Good breakfast, maybe it sins a bit ' of variety on the salty and fruit and yoghurt. If I had to report something, the breakfast room is a little small with narrow spaces also to move around, it would need more space because when it is full it is difficult to get around and access the buffet. And the air conditioning controlled by the reception, not really optimal call to change the temperature even if we didn't need it. Definitely a great choice.

Ok, but small room, very little breakfast, but it is free. Reasonable clean. Ok for one night stay.

Very good location, few minutes walk from attraction, shops and restaurants, very nice staff, very helpful, patient and very polite. Hotel very clean and very nice and every thing available to visitors also very good breakfast.

Good hotel. Always very attentive to the staff to make the stay enjoyable. The room had the traditional Venetian style. There is a tax on the stay that is charged at the end, of which we were not warned anything on the booking sites, so you have to go prepared. For 7 nights I was charged about 30 euros. Watch this.

The room was clean and well maintained. Furnished in a typical Venetian style. The pillows were too us personally. But you can't make it right. There was also a TV, but only 1 (! ) German channel (ZDF).
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff at the reception could in some cases be very German. Otherwise you will get along well with English.
The hotel offers a rich breakfast for Italian conditions. Unfortunately, the bread/bun is not so good. Typical Italian stop. But there are plenty of other choices. Fresh pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and cheese etc. For the schlecker mouth there are various cakes and sweet pieces… or cereal with yogurt and fruit.
Location: Very central. You come almost anywhere in a maximum of 15 minutes. Also relatively quiet here, as something off the "Main Roads". We were housed in the annexe with a view of the Canale…

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… We stayed at the annex building of the hotel which was still very cute. The shower didn't have much pressure but had a light that you press that changes colors of the light in your shower. It was FASCINATING! The room was a bit small but pretty. Walking up the steps was tiring but normal in a Venice hotel. The hotel staff was mostly friendly except for one person. Overall, I would stay there again!

Venice Beautiful But when you arrived with our reservation to the hotel we were left hanging and placed in a floor of some friend of yours. That's not the way it is. I hope I return the difference in euros. I repeat: Venice is beautiful and would return but to the Hotel Santa Marina nor crazy.

Nice hotel on a canal. Centrally located. Quaint but comfortable. Great staff. Nice free breakfast. Some suites.

The hotel is a 20-30 minute walk to the main centre. You have to negotiate many little alleyways and canals and they all look the bloody same. We were given a room in the annex and I must say the room was tiny and very claustrophobic, very noisy doors have to be slammed hard to shut them. So people coming in and out during the night were very noisy, not their fault. The airconditioner did not work and followed this up with reception the following morning only to be told that the Government doesn't allow airconditioning to be used cause it's coming onto winter. We challenged them on this and staff were very rude and were told this. Tried to explain to them that without airconditioning the room being very small was lacking any air and could we be moved to another room. Was told there are no vacant rooms. Gave up and went back to our room only to have a staff member come to the room to fix the aircon. Breakfast was average nothing special. Can't comment on the other part of the hotel. Overall very very average hotel. Won't be recommending to my friends.

Rooms were old needs updating. Staff were rude. They charged way to much for rooms. The rooms looked good on website so did the outside of building. Not when you get there nothing like pics. They also don't have American channels for TV there all in italian. I think American channels should be available.

Past for a fleeting aperitif, the tender bar was up to the expectations with a friendly and precise service. Served products were of quality.

We had the Blue Room during our stay in Venice, very spacious, clean, it has everything to please! The hotel is very well located, and the staff is very welcoming. The only downside for us was the tourist tax a little high compared to other hotels.

Very well located 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, the staff are very friendly and speak French. Thank you for this very good stay.

In an already particular location like Venice, a stone's throw from the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. Splendid, wonderful, the best thing is to go there.

Good price, very good location near the Rialto bridge. The hotel occupies several buildings in the square so you may not be in a central building. Lots of stairs. Breakfast is poor. Hotel staff very attentive.

The breakfast is not worthy of a 4 star. The breakfast room is sad. No hot water in the bathroom and no tub room little spacious, very uncomfortable bedding. Private terrace not maintained and microscopic without view!

Were now the 1. Time in Venice. Rooms were very clean and the staff very nice. The Breakfast was for Italian standards lush and very tasty. Were Central, just a few minutes walk to the Rialto bridge or St. Mark's square. Who would not want to run big order a cheap water taxi pier in the immediate vicinity. Come back ;-)

Great service in an incredible location.

Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff, decent breakfast. Rooms are a tad small but that's just Venice. Very pleased. Lovely interior and warm rooms too (colder months)

We loved our stay at this hotel. Very reasonably priced with a luxurious feel to our room. Breakfast is delicious, and staff and service was friendly and always helpful.

The Santa Marina Hotel is a lovely building with lovely, allbeit, small, lushly decorated rooms. They provided us with a room when we needed to stay an extra night in Venice, and the concierge was helpful in booking it for us. However, the internet did not work in our room. When I notified reception, they acted like it was a surprise. When I went down to the lounge area to use my computer, several other guests were there, experiencing the same problem. I later found out they had a technician there working on the internet connection. The staff was not forthcoming about the internet problem, and acted in a hostile and snobby manner when I was trying to discover what the problem was. This is the reason I gave it a lower rating.

Even though we didn't have much of a view (looked into an alley), it was still a great hotel. Accommodations were very comfortable. Great breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Easy walk to Rinalto Bridge and St. Marks. Highly recommend this hotel.

Centrally located hotel, therefore all sights within walking distance! Though fairly small double beds.

My brother and I were in Venice in October 2011. Had a very nice room in the annexe. The service and the facilities in the hotel were very good.

I was there in 2010. There are apart rooms which are belong to hotel but prices is the same with main building. İn my opinion this is not fair. İ think staff is very well, helpful and closely interested.
