On arrival we were not let in to the hotell despite paying for stay via internet in advance. It is hard to see your wife crying while I had to spend 2 hours on my roaming cell to find and pay again for alternative accomodation. We should have spend this time visiting Venice. It is first and last hotel I ever booked in Venice. Sorry Venice. It was not worth visiting you.
Our stay at Locanda Aquavita was a nightmare. We weren't expecting this given the amount of money we have paid per night. Here are some important points about the hotel: — not a 4 star hotel, not even a 2 star! FAKE REVIEWS! We were MISLED with this place's description. BEWARE! — no reception — very worn out, cracked wardrobe — a lot of mosquitos, I had to wrap my head with a shirt where I could barely breath so that I can't hear the mosquitos buzzing over my head. — AC not working, we had to keep windows open and couldn't sleep because of the noise coming from outside — they don't change the towels — Tiny toilet and shower. I am so slim and could barely use the shower.

Warning beware of this hotel. I normally don’t leave negative reviews but please beware of this hotel to all overseas travelers. You do not want to book a room here. There is no lobby, no staff at check in and you are locked outside. The only way to get in is to call the number on the door — however this number does not work for overseas devices — even using the correct area codes. The phone numbers on the website do not work either. We had to borrow the phone of a local to get in contact — and even then (after waiting over two hours) — he made us wait 39 minutes before he got here to give us our room key and the code to the door. Once we got in the hotel the room was average at best, nothing like the pictures or price point and we had no way to check out after either. We had to just leave a key and hope for the best.
