Comfort and amenities are not lacking, kettle in rooms with various types of tea coffee chamomile etc. However the rooms are made to find too cold and the TV remote often does not work. (I'm staying x work). Breakfast is varied and plentiful but the equipment of the tables can not be considered clean, the same plastic placemats x all customers are used and reused.

NOT RECOMMENDED unless you are a 80's lover. Although the room was pretty clean, furniture, hall and atmosphere were pretty old and sad. Bed was terribly uncomfortable and bathroom was just bad. Since I've read other good reviews here I've asked reception to change my room (probably I was just unlucky) for another one. Sadly, there was absolutely no empathy from the reception stuff which was just cold and suggesting me to deal with it (I was there for 7 days) — apart the young reception assistant which was very understanding. The experience would have been a little bit better if management would have better Customer Management skills.

Hotel is in prime location, but costly. A known hotel in Modena, Italy.

Old furniture, wallpaper and carpet. The hotel shows its years, but the worst thing is that I did not sleep well due to the hard mattress with the springs that were planted in my back, even the pillows were stone and in the room there was not a heavy enough blanket for the winter. I got cold. The only positive: breakfast.

Horrible, they advertise a restaurant that doesn't work, they show photos of non-existent rooms. I would not recommend it absolutely.

Typical Hotel Anni 80 that unfortunately has not seen any "modernization" over the years. The room that happened to me was excessively small and with "elderly" furnishings. Cleaning below average. No soundproofing and water noises throughout the night coming from the room entrance. Microscopic TV (I think it's a 14 "LCD) and those subarcas with audio and viewing angles non-existent. Reserved parking relatively far from the property and not lit at night. For a short stay for business reasons it would also be good considering the price in comparison with the other facilities in the area. In relation to what is offered, however, is expensive. Positive note: Heating works well. For breakfast I could not say why I jumped for reasons of time.

I have booked several times and I can say that the experience is positive. Great breakfast and the rooms are OK. If I have to find the hair in the egg TV too small and there are no sockets near the bed.

What about a little old and little courtesy, the only good note that is near the exit of the highway and a few minutes from the center.

Very old Hotel: Rooms years 70, microscopic television, lack of sockets near the bedside tables for the recharge of mobile phones. It was a very nice and very nice staff. There is a good location near the motorway tollbooth and the city centre. We had relied on the reviews of other guests but apparently too good in giving out objective reviews. Experience not to be repeated.

Cheap, 15 minutes from downtown and with good mattresses. A good option if you go to Modena.

Parking. Very good reception.

Very friendly, we had room of 3, but there were 4 separate beds in two rooms, one of them without door. Hairdryer and all kinds of toiletries in the bathroom, fridge, TV, Wi-Fi… The breakfast buffet was excellent.

Poor hotel quality with old age furniture 70

Business/job OK. Tourism NO OK If you are there for brief stay for job it should be ok as breakfast is fine and wireless fine (just be aware that the connection is not WPA/WPA2 so di not connect to internet banking and do not use for sensible data transfer). We were here in couple for a 4 days vacation: cleanliness of room was not so great. The bathroom, nevertheless we were 2, shows after the first day, just one towel. Shampoo and related were just set for one person while I booked a double explicitly. I booked here to avoid Limited Traffic Zone in the center of Modena: do not make this mistake. Phone to a more central hotel and asks for their policies about ZTL. Just near the hotel there is an XXX place. Lunch and dinner always done in the center of Modena (25 minutes walk). I've been around Europe in 4 stars hotels for the same price, this is my first bad review of an hotel rated 3 stars. Staff very useful except for the breakfast girl. Bad TV quality signal. Review attached picture speak by themself. At the check out they try to make me pay for frigo-bar that I've never touched neither opened, so watch out for the receipt. Va bene per chi si reca a Modena per lavoro. Posizione sfavorevole per turismo.

A quite unimpressive hotel. Functional.

The room was new and nice. Really close to Modena fiere the location where I had the event. Only shortcoming, it was really hot.

Decent continental breakfast, friendly staff. By cons: carpet in the room, bed very hard, wallpaper updatable. Bathroom good (new). Soundproofing than the other rooms.
Recommended if the budget is reduced.

Definitely cheap though …
Dead bug under the window waiting for me. There was no SOAP (there were shower gel, shampoo, etc … but no SOAP to wash your hands).
If you are on the first floors, the lap dancing club that's underneath is doing enough casino late at night.

Clean friendly and welcoming.

Stay in Modena for business for many years.
Probably the value Hotel Donatello is the best there is on the square.
Staff friendly, helpful, competent and smiling (which is not bad. Mai).
Rooms clean and tidy.
Recalled to the structure is a restaurant of typical products from Campania, with papered walls of pictures of movies of the great Massimo Troisi.
The only draw back is perhaps the absence of a small Spa inside the Hotel, where you can relax after a long day at work.

All unneighborly and warm only with people of the South. The restaurant that's underneath is recommended but run by the same owners of the hotel, do not expect different treatments. Foreign staff and the southern scoglionato discriminating. X the rest rooms dated but clean, comfortable beds. Failing to take account of the managers is ok.

Good enough for a short stay, close to the center of the city taking the 11, 11A, 13 bus navette.
