Stayed here for a long weekend with the Mrs to celebrate her birthday. Hotel is stunning and just a few minutes walk from the centre where all the restaurants, bars are cafes are located.
Beautiful breakfast laid on daily overlooking the sea and a stunning pool area with plenty of sunbeds available at any time of day.
Staff all really friendly and organised all bag transfers to the port and sorted all restaurant bookings without any fuss. Highly recommended and will definitely be visiting again soon.
A real gem in the heart of Capri.

This hotel in a great location, close to everything but quiet. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and very clean with great views. Great amenities. The pool area is beautiful with spectacular views. Great breakfasts! Every person who works at the hotel was fantastic. Very friendly and provided first class service. The front desk were extremely helpful with all our plans and in particular our ferry tickets and transfers. Strongly recommend this hotel and will return!

Best to coordinate with them before you get there to keep from having to carry any large luggage with you to the other side of the island.

My stay was a deeply authentic experience, filled with genuine care, sincere attention, and a kindness that cannot be fabricated.
My Deluxe room was exceptionally spacious and bright, with beautiful majolica tiles and a terrace overlooking flowers, greenery, and the sea. A quiet corner suspended between sky and water.
The pool terrace is one of the hotel’s most stunning features: large, elegant, surrounded by lush greenery, with a view that feels as if you could touch the sea. A place that restores, calms, and reconnects.
The continental breakfast is complete, varied, and curated in every detail: fresh fruit, pastries, savory options, beverages, everything served with professionalism and heartfelt warmth.
A special mention goes to:
— Antonio, the Director: discreet, elegant, always attentive, always human.
— Jole, at the front desk, the soul of the welcome: professional, warm, authentic.
— Salvatore, responsible for the breakfast room: kind, thoughtful, impeccable.
These are people who do not simply “provide” hospitality, they embody it.
And they make the stay not only pleasant, but meaningful.
Capri is a unique place in the world, a place of the soul.
And when you meet people this genuine and kind, the journey becomes even more special.
Without a doubt, the best hotel I have stayed in so far.

Room was absolutely beautiful and immaculate with breathtaking views! Service was phenomenal, everyone from front desk staff to housekeeping and restaurant staff. The restaurant was beautiful, also with amazing views, and the included breakfast every morning was delicious. There was a wide assortment of pastries, fruit, yogurt and meat, and they also had made to order scrambled eggs and omelettes. Weate at the restaurant for dinner one of the nights and the catch of the day (sea bass) was the most perfectly prepared dish we’ve ever had. Will definitely return!

I’ve been coming back to Hotel La Vega for years, and every stay reminds me why Capri remains so unforgettable.

We stayed at Hotel La Vega in Capri and the experience was truly exceptional. The location is perfect: just a few minutes from the Piazzetta, yet peaceful and quiet, with breathtaking sea views. The rooms are elegant, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable.
The panoramic pool overlooking the sea is a real gem — ideal for relaxing. Breakfast was generous and high-quality, served on a terrace with unforgettable views. The staff is kind, professional, and always helpful — a real highlight of our stay.

Hotel La Vega is a pleasant, family owned and run hotel. The location is good since it’s not far from the center of Capri. And the people are friendly.
However, to the rooms, the air conditioning is inadequate. My wife and I were uncomfortable for the four days we stayed there. Maintenance supposedly went to our room to fix it, but there was no difference even if I believe maintenance tried something. We also mentioned that bulbs needed to be changed but maintenance didn’t attend to that issue.
As to amenities, the breakfast needs an upgrade. The offering is okay but only worthy of a 3 out of 5 stars. The coffee and tea were lukewarm every one of our four breakfasts. And there is no upbeat ambiance in the hotel since there is no lobby activity, no bar or even music by the pool.
If you are precise sensitive, the hotel is adequate but can be much better with some upgrades.

We were really looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. Due to a booking issue, we were charged an extra €200 for a third bed which turned out to be just a sofa bed, not an actual upgrade as we had been led to believe. This felt misleading, especially after being told it was an upgrade in room type.
The shower was also a letdown. The water pressure was extremely low, and even after we reported it to the front desk, nothing changed during our stay.
Our room was advertised as having a full sea view, but in reality, it was only a partial view with two large trees blocking a good portion of it.
To top it off, we were charged €5 for losing one of the spare room keys. While we understand the policy, it felt excessive after everything else.
One positive side: the pool area is lovely, very clean and relaxing. The hotel’s restaurant was actually a highlight, great food and good service.
Lastly, the location is further from the main area than expected.
All in all, a disappointing experience for the price we paid. There are definitely better options in the area.

My answer:
With all due respect, I must clarify that the one not telling the truth here is you particularly regarding the water issue. It was reported on the very first day to the lady at the front desk. However, it seems the matter was completely ignored neither resolved.
For your verification, I stayed in room 44, which I am documenting here. Regarding the view, it is undeniable that there are two large trees directly in front of the room, blocking part of the view as was advertised.
The promised upgrade never happened. Furthermore, due to an error in your system, I was charged an unexpected fee a week before our arrival without being given any choice. If I hadn’t accepted the charge, probably you would have cancelled the reservation, leaving us without any viable option in Capri due to the short notice. That was not honest, nor fair.
Everything will be reported to Google accordingly. I am not the one being dishonest.

We absolutely had a five star experience at Hotel La Vega!
This his behind the lovely family operated boutique hotel is fantastic, I encourage you to read it before you visit. Hotel La Vega is located on a hillside close to the Piazetta. La Vega has the advantage of being close enough to the Piazetta for a nice stroll but far enough away, it is very quiet and serene.
The family was terrific, the food delicious, our room had an amazing view and was perfect for breakfast. The pool is very large, service on the deck was on point and the employees were very helpful. La Vega was a fantastic getaway for us, we even walked from La Vega down to the Marina. The location was close enough easily access everything we wanted to do on Capri and far enough away we didn't have to deal with noise or the bustle of the tourists.
Giovanna was so helpful. She helped with the room, dinner reservations, scheduling our departure, and arranging to send our bags to the ferry on our departure. In addition, she seemed to have terrific advice any time we asked for help.
We recommend La Vega and hope to stay there again soon!

Pool is available 10am — 7pm, but during the day it is a relaxing oasis, watching the clouds roll by and the yachts drop anchor on the southern side of Capri. Rooms are spotless, breakfast is lovely (eggs any way or omelette included). Family room is a great option when travelling with older children (in my case, 10 + 15 y. O. ). Porterage is added to your bill to/from the ferry — just use the one porterage company and they'll get bags there and back in an hour or so, at around 20 euros per bag per direction — and on departure they'll load them all the way into your outbound ferry for you!

The LaVega Hotel was beyond our expectations. The staff were so welcoming and kind. Our room was beautiful and the balcony had an amazing view. The food was wonderful with good italian options and seafood. We loved the pool as well as the location. The hotel had a pretty blue and white tiled floor and a terrific garden outside leading to the pool. I cannot speak higher of our stay. My only disappointment was the pool closing at 7pm but other than that I will definitely be back.

The hotel is lovely. Easy to get to from the port with the funicular and a short walk. Welcomed with Prosecco by the most lovely staff. Great location with a beautiful view. We ate breakfast with the most amazing pastries every morning from our balcony overlooking the ocean.

I wouldn’t book them again. We booked our accommodation for our honeymoon but due to covid we weren’t allowed to leave our country to get to the hotel. The hotel gave us a voucher and refused a refund. The voucher however expired before we were allowed to leave the county as restrictions hadn’t eased. This is when they started ignoring my emails, even though I listed the two laws (one being by the Italian government) that stated that, regardless of their policy, due to COVID restrictions we were entitled to a refund. Two years later we finally got to capri on holiday (this hotel refused we stay there as they were apparently booked out) Seeing as they continued to ignore the other emails I had sent for over a year regarding our money being taken, we went to the hotel to talk about a refund and they laughed in our face and refused. Terrible people and integrity, I will never recommend them to anyone.

Hotel La Vega is a family owned hotel in a good location in town of Capri, not far from the main piazza. The staff were friendly and helpful. The view is spectacular. The food was very good. The pool is also very spacious and nice. Our room was nice, comfortable, clean, and with a nice balcony. We enjoyed our stay incredibly. I would recommend this hotel.

My wife and I recently stayed here for a week from the US. Look no further! Everything from beginning to end was excellent. This is a family owned business with great management and it showed. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and competent. The place was spotless. We will be back!
