Amazing hotel in amazing location, and with just the right level of service.

Pathetic do not stay here. They are peasants who have know idea how to run a proper hotel. They are dishonest and looking to milk every Euro by hook or crook from you. Rooms are much worse than they look. If you look at the pry marks on my room door looks like it’s been broken into numerous times. Property is run down. Staff are in filthy uniforms. No Wi-Fi in half if the hotel. Place reeks of financial desperation. They have no training in the service industry and run it like ignorant fools. Spoke to them several times to try to fix all of the issues and all I got was a blank stares. Totally unacceptable in Italy where everyone is warm welcoming and offer great service.

Authentic convent type rooms… not "luxurious" but clean, comfortable spacious. The views from the rooms and especially the restaurant are spectacular. Magnificent pool and access to the Tyrhennian Sea for swimming. The staff was professional & eager to help with any request. My only cons are minor… they are stingy with bath towels and there is only 1 key per room which can lead to some incovenience. All in all a splendid stay.

This hotel has panoramic views of Amalfi Coast and the interior is really interesting. Do not accept room It is very noisy from the outside traffic and the prattle of the front desk.
The breakfast buffer was not terribly exciting. The bacon was so salty that it was inedible and I love my bacon. We did not dine there as I overheard other guests complaining about the price and quality. You need to cross the road to get to the pool. The pool area is a little claustrophobic and gets crowded very quickly. Crossing the dangerous road and steep climb down to the pull might not be suitable for children and any with mobility issues.
They offer discounts for cash payments without receipts.

Pretty old but well-maintained hotel, considering it’s been around since the 13th century. Love the morning view of the ocean. Room was very well heated during late winter. Though it may be quite expensive but I’d give it that it’s due to the location and rich histories. Breakfast was decent and staffs were friendly. Walking distance to the centre. There is a bus that goes to Positano and Sorrento. You can purchase the single journey bus ticket in the Tabacchi shop at €2 (best to buy return ticket as well). For this single ticket, you can drop off at Positano for a walk and hop onto the bus again with the same ticket to Sorrento.

I didn't think it was possible to reach such a level of ospitalta, elegance, beauty… The breakfast in the Sea terrace is an indescribable moment, the rest of the day at the Convent moon I leave it to your best imagination.

We loved it, ancient monastery atmosphere with adaptations to new needs. Rooms with beautiful ceramics colorful and very quiet. The various operators are very prepared and at the height of the refined location.
Unfortunately the parking is detached from the property, but the service worries to park it and bring it back when needed, even if (rightly) the service has a cost. If back to Amalfi, we would choose it again.

Our visit was in relation to a tour group and we were better for it. Doubt we'll ever return to that area but if that happened, we would enjoy staying here again.

Do not stay here if you enjoy warm showers. The shower was so small and the water was almost always cold. At one point, the water pressure was so bad I couldn't even finish showering, and then the water turned yellow. Ugh. Occasionally, we got lucky and got some luke warm water. The first night, the staff blamed it on a boiler problem which they said was then fixed. After that, they said it was because everyone showered at the same time. There were 16 people in our group and no one had hot water. Other guests I spoke to in the hotel admitted the same. I showered at various times of the day to try to catch it when it was hot, but no luck. Also, the upholstered chairs and lamp shades in our room looked like they haven't been cleaned since the thirteenth century. The main areas of the hotel are beautiful, the pool area is gorgeous, the view is incredible, and the staff is mostly pretty accommodating, hence the 2 stars. However, when I stay at a 4 star hotel, I expect a hot, or at least warm, shower. Certain staff would act like it was a major inconvenience when I would ask for coffee at breakfast. Never again would I stay here. Definitely not worth how much it costs.

Excellent hotel with breathtaking views. Fabulous staff, many who speak English far better than I speak Italian. Aircon in the room and lifts are a huge benefit. Stunning pool next to the sea but be aware — 80 steps down to it.

This place was an odd bird. It's almost a perfect throwback to what you could expect in a Wes Anderson movie. Breakfast was incredible. Bed was quite bad, with itchy stiff sheets and a lopsided mattress. Location is quite good. If you are looking for a throwback to a better era experience, this is the place. Wifi was unusable everywhere in the hotel. Great place to disconnect from the outside world. Funny old men in formal attire handle everything. Quirky and funny and mostly fun.

Beautiful views, excellent breakfast, and above all a private pool with jumping access to the ocean. Memorable.

How often can you stay at a former monastery that's been converted into a beautiful hotel that lies on the Sea and has some of the most spectacular views you'll ever see. It's not often. Staying at Hotel Luna is a must if you're going to Amalfi. Wonderful, helpful staff, a fantastic free breakfast and the views. The views alone make it five-stars.

Came here for our honeymoon, and everything was amazing. The staff was especially friendly and the views from the room and restaurant are gorgeous.

Fantastic dinner with one of the best views in the area. The service and quality of the food made this one of our favorite amalfi places to go. We went twice in fact during our short stay. Highly recommends it.
