Thanks Kate Sweeney & Aidan McGrath for a magical dinner, bed & breakfast at Wild Honey Inn (the only Irish pub with a Michelin star)! Great pork and smoked eel croquette — and fabulous Irish lamb — both with seasonal asparagus and wild garlic! And the soda bread! Loved my omelette Arnold Bennett for breakfast too — and the freshly baked pastries and scones.

We stayed here recently. The food was amazing, the accommodation was lovely and the service was top class.

We loved our stay here. The building is lovely, our room was on the top floor and was clean, bright and airy. The building is within walking distance of the town and there are nice pubs nearby. We both really enjoyed our meal from start to finish, it was delicious and had a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The bar/restaurant is lovely and cosy! We both had omelette for breakfast (smoked haddock and gruyere) with a selection of scones and pastries, yum! The owners are very hospitable and the easy going atmosphere is exactly what you want on a break to the west coast. Would highly recommend The Wild Honey Inn!

Horrible place, grumpy owners — they are quite famous for that… The staff is overworked and paid less than anywhere else, 18hrs in the kitchen is normal working day, I spoke with the cook. Ambience is totally lacked and the prices are mad. Avoid this place, there are plenty better ones around.

We randomly found this place. So glad we did. Later found out they have a Michelin Star. Well deserved. Food was phenomenal! Everything was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and service was on pointe. If you find yourself in County Clare in Ireland, come check this restaurant out. Hotel is also stunning, originally built in 1860, recently refurbished, has that cosy but yet high end feel. Rooms are really nice and decently priced. Staff was very accommodating.

Awful, deflated, even abused, this is not a Michelin star restaurant. I have no intention of letting my experience tonight go without action.

This was one of our favorite stops in Ireland. The inn is beautiful, cozy, and peaceful. The food and service are spectacular; one of the best meals from our trip. If you are going to Ireland, this is the number one place to stay I recommend.

Eaten here twice and stayed once. The food is just so good its worth the trek to Lisdoonvarna. Cannot speak more highly of Aidan and Kate who we chatted to after our meal.

Sorry, I never got to experience this restaurant. Three weeks ago I tried to book a table and a room for our 49th wedding anniversary. This would have entailed driving from Ballymena, which would take approx four and a half hours. The calendar on the site it appeared had been booked up for the following year, or so it would appear, which I thought was a little strange. So, I emailed the restaurant to see if maybe there was a software problem and to book a table for 6th Jan 2018. I am still waiting on a reply. Not to worry. I have booked Ashford Castle instead. Your loss Wild Honey Inn.

Will definitely go back to this very welcoming Inn. Great food. Hosts are lovely people.

Fabulous meal at the Wild Honey Inn on Sunday night. I think the Turbot was the best I have ever eaten and the asparagus was to die for! Gorgeous thankyou for a lovely evening Aiden and Caitlin.

I love the Wild Honey Inn. The accommodation is lovely. It was wonderful to get there saturday having spent 4 hours hiking in the Burren on a cold and wet day. The Inn was warm and welcoming with a lovely fire on … bliss. I could rave all day about the food (dinner and breakfast). This is my second visit and was sad to leave. Already thinking about next time.

I did not get the pleasure of staying here, or even stopping the car! I did however get a photo of the Inn. That alone gives it 5 stars.

Wonderful kind host, great room, some of the best food we had in Iteland. Loved it!

We had the most amazing experience! My husband and I are from the States and we were getting married at the Cliffs of Moher. We reached out to Kate to reserve a place for our families to stay and for dinner after our ceremony. Kate was amazing! She made sure we all had rooms and made our wedding day so special! She decorated the dining room with lavender since that was the bouquet I carried! Kate and Aiden surprised us with appetizers for our group in the bar. The dinner was absolutely incredible — the rabbit was perfect! We enjoyed the most beautiful night with amazing house wine. In the morning we had breakfast at Wild Honey Inn and it was the perfect ending to the perfect few days. I could not recommend this anymore. I would absolutely stay again and would insist anyone I knew to stay as well!

Fabulous weekend with superb hosts, Kate and Aidan, great ambience, clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished rooms. Restaurant was atmospheric and food was top class with great advice on wine selection. Stopped off for lunch last year and promised ourselves we would definitely come back for a stay. We were not disappointed — highly recommend for overnight gourmet experience!

Great chef that offer great food and a very nice place to stay in West Clare. Perfect for a weekend away and no too far from Lahinch Golf Club.
