Clean, cheap, quiet, nice guy at reception and only a minute or two to check in. Also great value for a central location!

Nice place, clean and tidy, but was shocked that since I booked a bed and breakfast, breakfast is not included. Very close to great amenities. Plus every time I have booked a place with booking. Com, tax has been included in the price not here they add tax on. So not that cheap.

Relative good central location, but this seems to be all. Absolutely too expensive for the service and rooms provided. (Small rooms, no refrigerator, no desk nor chair, small tv, instable TV cònnection, good wlan). But maybe for Dublin in a warm September day an acceptable "hotel".

This place is an average experience all around. Staff was courteous enough, and our room was clean. The location is awesome, being close to downtown, and the 747 shuttle that goes to the airport having a stop right in front of the hotel. It was about 20-23 C while we stayed for our 3 nights, and our room was a nightmare to sleep in. It must have been at least 28 C in our room, and all we had was a dinky little fan to keep us cool. The windows are as old as sin and couldn't be opened, which is all it would have taken to make it comfortable. The shower temperature was all over the place, and we took showers as various times in the day with no difference. As others have said the walls are paper thin, as are the windows. We heard conversations clearly from the sidewalk below our room. Bed was clean but uncomfortable; we had terrible sleep during our stay. Breakfast was as expected, nothing special but honestly better than I expected considering the state of some other things. Overall an uncomfortable experience, good for a short term stay only, or last minute. No really worth the price in my opinion.

The accommodation was clean and well located. Shortly across the river, the center was within walking distance. The rooms are very small and on the main road. At night it was still half-quiet.

The staff is friendly and everything is clean, but the rooms are tiny and the walls are paper thin. You can people fart. So it wasn't the greatest sleep of my life, and the lumpy mattress didn't help. The room also had a smell and the window blind had mold specks. This might be good if you're going partying for a night and will pratically pass out in your bed.

Small annexe room booked. Clean and basic. Great for a one night stop off as we were only overnight to see a gig. Easy location from ferry terminal and drop off points.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very basic, everything functioned but no frills. Good for commuting to the centre and airport.

Lovely office worker, lovely rooms. So comfortable and clean. Perfect location within walking distance to pretty much anything you could want to see in dublin — from guiness to the epic museum. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Ireland.

Pitiful experience. We were treated poorly at all stages of our stay. The organization is failing and the employees are not competent. There are much better as cheap hostels in Dublin, in terms of service, price and quality.

The worst experience of our entire life! We went on holiday 2 weeks in Ireland and to our arrive here nothing has been well. Lack of room for 4… we receive 1 bed for 3 people while the reservation was made 1 week in advance… and the other person is sent to a wardrobe with 1 bed outside the establishment in another tiny pavilion. Then we decide to leave and well he keeps all of our payment for 3 days and offers us the free lunch… lunch which the next day refused us. If it was possible to give 0 to the establishment that's what I'd do. I guarantee that there is a better place to sleep in Dublin for much less expensive.

Accommodation decadent and not very clean, convenient just because in the center.

The room was comfortable and correct, but very noisy. You could hear too much the slightest noise from other rooms. The skylight had no curtain or way to cover the light.

Nice hotel with an excellent location: 5 minutes walking distance from The Spire. The room was basic, but clean and bright. The water pressure however was low and taking shower was not easy. The windows are not noise proof and you can hear almost every sound from the street. Smoking in the rooms is prohibited, but there is a smoking area in the back yard of the building. Most of the staff was kind and helpful. To sum up: this is a decent, basic hotel very close to the city center. Still, I would expect a bit more for the price of 85 euro for double room.

Not worth your money! Very little water pressure in the shower and the temperature fluctuates dangerously to scalding hot. Tiny room with a rock hard bed, very uncomfortable. The window has no seal to it so you hear every vehicle/any noise from outside. Walls are paper thin and you can hear every door open and close. Terrible sleep, definitely would not recommend.

The bed is comfortable and the people are nice. However they are in the middle of decorating and there were noisy until very late at night, and the place is in need of updating. Was okay for night but I will not return.

Not too spacious but clean and handy for the center!

Our room was tiny but clean. The staff is kind and friendly. If you're staying just few days, it's acceptable. Great position: not far from the centre and perfect for the bus stop to the airport which is a few metres from it.

A pretty average experience, some positive, some negative. I stayed here for 2 nights and it is a basic hotel. Comfortable beds which are rather old and makes noise when you move in the bed. In general the hotel clearly shows its age with dated decor and old finishings that shows a lot of wear and tear over the years. But from my experience everything is in working order and the staff was friendly. But I did find the price to be a little high considering the quality of the place.

Very cold room, no window (only a porthole on the ceiling and shower in the cold peak time! Pretty high price for the quality of the offer.

Very nice owner. The hotel is located right at the bus stop at the airport. Our room was very small but functional. Totally sufficient for a city break. A few meters to the city center. Breakfast hasn't tasted us that much now, but that's just a matter of taste. Would come back.

I stayed at this property for 3 nights, at the "modica" figure of 68 euros per night for a double room with en-suite bathroom, the bed passed off as a double, it was actually from a square and a half, and I high 1.78, I slept with my feet out! The mattress was smashed from both sides, and now we both have back pain, and also the cleaning of the pillows and mattress left a lot to be desired, we found hair not ours! Tiny room, 3 x 3 meters including the bathroom! And it's a good thing that my wife and I are skinny, we struggled to move! No closet! We will never come back to you again… Positive note, the staff were nice and helpful!

Comfortable bed and shower but the walls are paper thin. Do not come here if you're wanting a good night's sleep — I could hear everything that people were saying when they came back at 5am. I've paid less than this in other cities and got far more for the price. Would not return.

Very central location, easy to find (few minute walk straight from the spire to Lower Gardiner St), great value for a lovely ensuite room including a TV. Worth mentioning that it's a generous sized bathroom in comparison to other budget accommodation of similar prices! Would highly recommend.

Had a very comfortable stay at Hazel Brook Lodge. The staff were very nice, the room was spotless, comfortable bed and a good breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

Average economic, not far and comfortable, minimal but functional services, hairdryers and adapters with bail, towels and sheets change every day on request.

Adorable place to stay in a great central location. A cab won't cost more than 8 euro to anywhere tourist. The building is ok. The staff was great! The room… meh. You can't have it all for the price you pay here.

This is a good hotel of its type, an economical (relatively, given that city centres are universally expensive) city centre place with a mixture of workers and revellers. Freshly decorated, everything very clean, perfectly acceptable en suite rooms, highly secure off-street parking under cover. The only problem is that the revellers tend to awaken the workers in the early hours.

It's a hostile. I could hear snoring all around me. Good price though.

Well priced, great location, easy access to all that Dublin has to offer. Rooms are small, but have everything needed for a shower and good night's sleep.

I stayed in hazelbrook Lodge, which is situated to the rear of hazelbrook house. The staff are very nice, the place is very clean and overall I have no complaints.

Stay way. Small rooms. Few amenities provided. Non accommodating staff. Weird odor. Similar priced hotels with better accomodations are a few minutes away.

Some rooms are very obsolete.

It was OK. A little scruffy and old, but the location was perfect a walking distance to everything. I made the reservation one day ahead so I didn't have many choices, but despite lots of wear and tear, the room was very clean. It's not a good option if you are demanding, but it was OK for the money.

I recommend this hotel the staff are friendly and helpful and it's very central to everywhere, I will stay again when I return to Dublin again.

Budget Hotel and a short walk from the city centre. Highly recommended for the stay, the owners and employees at the reception very kind.

Excellent location in the center but quiet.

This review is based on price. We stayed in the cheaper part of the hotel out back in block A. Wasn't much to behold, but for the extra cheap price it was more than enough. Was warm, comfortable, and the staff were nice. All you need :)

A Bright, New Look Rooms. Small Room. No Closet.

Not terribly impressed, for €59 I expected more. Staff were OK. Room was 8ft square with a sloping ceiling. So a bit claustrophobic. TV didn't work and window was broken. Smelling strongly of cigarettes which was grim. The sheets seemed clean. Bed creaky and lumpy (very old mattress I think) only one thin pillow. Neighbour had TV on really loud for hours and everyone who came up the metal stairway right outside my room sounded like they were wearing clodhoppers. The noisy fan/light in the shared sower room kept waking me up too as it was turned on (and often left on for ages) until I got up and turned it off. Breakfast starts at 8 am which is a bit late as I had to leave at 7.30 for my flight. There didn't seem to be any hot water despite running it for ages. No mirror in the bathroom! Some of these things you could forgive or ignore if the mattress wasn't so shockingly bad. I would say it only worth €30 at most.

Nice staff, free Wi-Fi works but the room I stayed in was absolutely awful. No Windows, stains on carpet and wall, shared bathroom and size wise it was a 6x4 cell.

Friendly staff, and great location. The 747 bus stop right outside. Rooms were very small but clean. Towels were changed but didn't leave any hand towels, a bit noisy too, as heard every footsteps and doors closing in the hall way. Would I stay again? Yes… though I'd ask for a bigger room. Very reasonably priced too. As they say, you get what you pay for. A short walk down Talbot street which has plenty of small takeaways, (Papa pizza is recommended, pizza chips and a can of juice for €5) takes you to the right of the GPO at O'Connell street then a 5 minute walk to the temple bar area.

Hotel in great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Certainly we are not talking about a luxury hotel but it is quite cozy.

Not a good experience staying at Hazelbrook Lodge for 1 day. The room is very small, there was mold in both the bathroom and the "bedroom". The mattress in the bed was not comfortable to sleep in, and there was a lot of noise coming from the neighbours, as it is easy to hear them. The door to the bathroom was not possible to be closed. The lock to the hotel room was very loose, so I did not feel very comfortable leaving my stuff in the room. I found it odd as well, that the person in the reception required to get the key to my room when I left the room.

The rooms need to be cares for as well as the shared bathroom. The rooms from the lodge are tiny. No cupboards, in some of them no curtains. The old TV I got was far too high to see anything. No answer from the manager Some of the staff were outstanding some other much less.

Friendly staff rooms are bad no ac TV didn't work well breakfast very small had to sleep with window open all night no hand towel winter duvet sheets were ripped shower look like it was covered in lime scale herd everything all night long doors banging noises bed no wardrobe Wi-Fi didn't work. Price was to high. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Of course I have not been to all rooms. But in 1400 km that I made in Ireland, this is the worst place. Small room, no window. Couldn't bend over in the shower, a race. Dirty smudges of filtration. Open skylight without possibility of closing with a broomstick. One night she began to rain, he climbed on the bed to close the skylight and the bed was dismantled under the feet. My wife and I during the tour in Ireland we slept in campers, 100 times better.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in, hardly any furniture in the room, when asked why no wardrobe I was told there wasnt any in the hotel as they were refurbishing the rooms, I asked another guest if he had a wardrobe and he said yes he had, the walls were half painted the bathroom floor was all cracked and tiles were missing from the bathroom walls, I asked to speak to a manager and was told that the hotel had recently been taken over by a company and couldnt speak to anyone in authority by simone the receptionist, but the next day when speaking to another girl on reception she told me simone was in fact the manager and not just a receptionist. A really bad experience which ruined my first trip to Dublin.

Excellent location, staff extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms are spotless and clean and the breakfast is really good and not least the price is really affordable. This is the second time I have the pleasure to stay in this Guesthouse and can't do anything but recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Dublin.
