Food was excellent and kids enjoyed it also.

Food good, staff poor. Should really say lack of staff but the staff that was on were poor. Really not able to cope with a full house. Ordering drinks to be told 20 min later when we asked about the drinks “oh sorry we’ve ran out of that “ finished mains then to ask for deserts to be told” sorry can’t have desserts were too under staffed “ Note to owners/management don’t open you’re doors if u can’t offer a full service which is charged on the higher end of things I’ll add. Been there many times, left very disappointed this time.

Great little hotel and fantastic restaurant… the food portions are huuuuuge! The GM Orla and staff are absolutely fantastic, so attentive and despite being super busy, always have a smile 😃.

Lovely place to eat. Checked our covid certs before we could be seated. Good menu options, quick service and big portions. Great food and atmosphere. Would recommend.

Staff are excellent, the hotel itself is very clean, comfortable and relaxing. Food was great and well presented.

Only stopped in for a coffee but a scone was mentioned roughly a hour later we left, the staff are so friendly and happy interesting decor, will be going again.

Worst restaurant in carlow town terrible food for a very expensive price. I thought a lasagne had to have layers… silly me.

On arrival I was so impressed with the automatic machine at entrance that took my temperature and had audio result. The food was amazing. Loved the presentation. The staff were so friendly. Overall lovely experience with relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Fabulous meal this afternoon for family occasion, delighted to see clear allergen information on menu. The even decorated the table with birthday balloons without being asked. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff nice rooms stayed on 1st floor so could hear talking all night but nice otherwise.

I would highly recommend this hotel — I booked my parents in to stay on Saturday nite last on their return from Dungarvan after seeing Monaghan men beat Waterford — but at 4pm on Saturday evening (just as they left the match venue) my mother received a call to say there was an issue with some rooms and their room was no longer available but that they would try to get them accommodated in elsewhere. Within 10mins she received a call back to say they had secured a room in a nearby hotel.
They treated them so well and they received a free drink on arrival to The Clink and a 4 course meal (free of charge) (the meal was fabulous) and a voucher for 1 nite B&B in the hotel for a later date.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend The Clink Thank you to Mary especially for organising all of this for them.

We were in the Clink for dinner last nightit was absolutely amazing really nice food and the staff were very helpful and pleasant, we'll definitely be back.

Wonderful night there last sat night, great atmosphere, hen nyt girls beside us! lol, staff were very helpful especialy lorraine who looked after us for our duration, will come back again, steak was to die for! regards Dave!

Lovely welcome friendly very efficient staff extremely helpful and smiling. Excellent food. Clean warm cosy hotel very quiet for slerpings. A place full of character. Stayed here last week. Would highly recommend this trendy hotel. Staff friendly and very accommodating to my every need. GREAT choice menu and food was first class. And again so pleasing with my finicky orders. I so enjoyed the ambience of the place that I choose to just relax in the lounge with a lovely mix of music in the background. Power shower was great also. Nice home away from home experience. I will certainly stay there again when in Carlow.

Visited the restaurant for a meal recently. Portions were very good. The chefs would have to look at the way there food is cooked as in the combo platter for two for the main course. The grease was dripping from the mushrooms + onions + also from all the meat on the platter. Was disappointed in this regard but starters was lovely.

The staff was very welcoming and professional. The public areas were clean; the lighting was very busy with all the low wiring to the lights which was inadequate for the table areas. The meal is more like pub grub… not what I expected. The soup was delious; the variety for people was not great unless you wanted burgers… chips etc. The chicken was greasy from the onions which it sat on. More care needs to be taken on the quality… Quality over quantity is a must to get me back into the clink!
