I have been staying at the Nuramore for more years than I want to count and as always the Food was fantastic and staff are so friendly and helpful. But sadly the hotel needs a makeover as it's decor and furnishings look tired and worn out. A bit more attention to the weeds and general appearance of the shrubbery on the lower outside seating area would be good. I would like to go back but based on the present appearance and cost I would probably stay in a more up to date hotel.

I've never actually eaten In the hotel. But the swimming pool is great if you are a member and you have to pay a lot of money and basically if you don't go you are wasting your money. It's a very clean well established hotel. But it kind of seems like it is in the middle of nowhere.

Great hotel with friendly staff and a super golf course. The food is also to be commended with bar food available all day. This hotel also has a swimming pool and gym as well as the golf course which makes it a great choice for anyone looking an active holiday break. The local area also has very friendly people and plenty of bars to entertain yourself. Highly recommended.

Establishment located in a green place, with golf course, however the interior decoration will suit an elderly clientele. Do not rely on exits nearby, the first city being more than 20 minutes by transport or car…

Clean good service,. Used to do a very nice pulled pork on sour dough but not in a while,. Good place for a meal and relaxing few drinks, you're not rushed.

Fantastic place, and service is top class, rooms very clean and food absolutely gorgeous would love to stay here again.

But late writing a review but I've been travelling throughout and better late then never! Stayed in December a friend of mine treated us to a weekend away! Friends trip. Nice hotel. Quiet and tranquil. Good parking facilities. (Free) Grounds are huge. You can walk up a trail path to lakes. We'd a view from the room. Comfortable bed. Strong Wi-Fi. Food was good. Lounge had a nice atmosphere! Reception staff… ok. But not very attentive to customer needs. The Christmas grotto was extremely good and especially for kids. I Would visit again in the future as I did like the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food fantastic. Upgraded us because it was our anniversary and left chocolates and a card for us in the room. Lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.

This was for a weekend break, and we love country spa hotel breaks every once in a while. The hotel was really good, slightly old worldly, but that to us just added to the charm. We found the service excellent with a smile. The swimming pool was big enough and the gym was good enough with plenty of friendly locals to help you. Everything was clean and comfortable, and no problem for wealchair users. The restaurant was fabulous and breakfast was roomy with plenty of sunlight in the room, and of course plenty of choice. We had a lovely experience, and would return without doubt.

Super staff and and an even better stay, credit to your staff, service with a real smile.

Once though the under stated entrance the beautiful setting and grounds are enchanting in all seasons. Warm welcome by staff is there or sit and simply enjoy relaxing with good food a drink a friend.

Such a lovely place and everyone working there was so nice. We were only there one night but the room was quite large and the bed comfortable.

Nice scenic location. Lovely chilled out atmosphere, very relaxing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Some areas could do with a bit of refurbishment, rooms lovely though. Breakfast was very good.

The bar food is tasty and of a high quality. The staff are very helpful as we often have our baby daughter with us. The hotel is child friendly.

Rooms were big, my headboard was loose and banged against wall if I moved in the bed. Toilet was blocked but fixed. Food could be improved, got soup before going golfing and it was just warm enough to have, friend came in after us and got soup and it was cold and when it came back out it was even colder. Dinner on 2nd night whatever sauce/herbs that was rubbed into the meat was very over powering due to the way it was cook (the chef that was with us told us thats what happened). Friendly night porters as were the servers during the day.

Pleasant surroundings and very helpful staff. Nice bar menu but there is also a restaurant that enjoys a good reputation & stocks excellent wines.

Have stayed number of times great hotel food lovely spotless clean staff could not do enough for u garden and grounds top class views outstanding very relaxing hotel will be Back.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms feel tired the whole place needs a bit of a revamp a new look! The room was well appointed although the bed was a tad to hard for my liking you can't have everything. The grounds and setting for the hotel were beautiful and it felt so peaceful sitting out in the gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The customer service was excellent! The staff were a real credit to the hotel.

We stayed here on a tour of Southern Ireland and I must say that the Nuremore is substandard, definitely not 4-star as advertised. Perhaps, it was close to 4-star 25 years ago but not now. I will start with the positives that kept me from Google rating it 1star. The grounds are very pretty. The staff is courteous and responsive. However, the rooms and furniture are very dated and cleanliness is questionable. The windows have mold around them. We had to be switched to a different room due to seeing and smelling mold. Our room in the "new" section also had mold but at least we couldn't smell it. The food at the restaurant is subpar. I usually will eat anything, my wife calls me the human garbage disposal, so when I skip a main course it is bad. Most 2-star hotels in the states are nicer than this. I truly think this property is in need a major multi-million euro renovation and it could be good. If you must stay in this area, I'd advise going elsewhere.

The hotel is definitely suited for weddings but if you want anything more upmarket I would not recommend. Check what you are booking as suites are just a room with a fancier name.

Very good service all round but the rooms are either too cold or absolutely boiling! Very nice place with very nice people!

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel in my opinion. Firstly the information coming from various staff members was inconsistent, I was lied to by Financial Controler, never a nice thing (he said they didn't take cards by phone, later I found out he didn't like me booking from gmail account instead of my work one). On arrival, after sending specific requirement re Wi-Fi I was put in a room where tehre was no Wi-Fi present. I asked to be moved. I was moved to another room and then within 10 minutes moved again as heating wasn't working. I visited the pool where water was really dirty and so was the water in "jacuzzi" which turned out to be bubbly water well and not the proper jacuzzi with many air holes. In a 4 star hotel I got a scruffy blanket and a non size matching sheet folded underneath instead of a duvet, it was warm in the room so I ditched the "used" looking blanket. Unfortunately the heating has been switched off at night so I woke up 2h before my alarm freezing cold so much that I had to leave room and spent 1.5h in breakfast room asking for hot coffee to warm me up. Staff in this hotel is very nice and means well, but it's a really disappointing experience especially at the price we paid (mid January).

V good was at a weeding there.

Was at a wedding here recently, great day out. Food was very good and the place looked fantastic. Bar prices are a bit steep and here and there it could do with a lick of paint, but hey, hasnt been easy for any hotel in the last few years. All in all, very good.

Stayed for three nights for a wedding, the staff were always very polite and helpful, food was fantastic at all times, ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here which were all top notch. The grounds are beautiful, and the facilities are excellent. Very happy with our stay.

What a kip, stayed here for a friends wedding. Staff are horrible, rooms are muck and the the less said about the food the better. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
