Lively holiday hotel. The labyrinth of corridor and elevator means you can easily get lost on arrival. Once you find your way around it's better. Food and drinks good so was the service.

A beautiful hotel with extremely friendly & helpful staff. Check in was quick & efficient, with staff explaining the facilities within. Food excellent with much variety. All in all a very pleasant visit & would recommend visiting. Book well in advance if you want specific dates as its a very popular hotel, especially with visiting tourists.

My stay with a family of 4 was very good from beginning to end. We stayed for 2 Nights- Pros: — The newly refurbished bunk beds worked out really well — The food was really good, Although it was pretty pricey. There was a good selection of breakfast foods to choose from. — The pool was a good size although I wish was a bit deeper. The only downside was that at night the heat was on and it was sweltering! And we had no control of the heat in the room. Overall very good stay. All members of staff were very accommodating.

This place is so amazing and every visit is always welcoming and extremely enjoyable for both myself and my family. For as long as I've been coming here (14yrs) we get the best welcomes and the service is impeccable. The staff are the loveliest people and try their best in everything. The hotel is clean and fresh with a warm atmosphere. There is so much to do here with a kids club and pool and gym, you will never be bored. It is such a family friendly place and I would recommend this for anyone.

Breakfast every morning was superb, probably the best I've had. Steak dinners were excellent, and the pizzas were very tasty, & were value for money. The bar/restaurant was very comfortable & taxi service very efficient normally around €10 in or out of town or to the hospital. The staff were very attentive & very well trained with customer satisfaction their priority, very friendly and child friendly. Room was clean, mattresses were great. Would definitely stay again & bring the kids next time. Overall very happy to recommend for business or leisure.

Super Hotel with indoor pool, a large wellness facility, gym etc! The staff was very nice and also served a delicious apple pie after the operation time! The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable. The bathroom is luxurious and the atmosphere in the hotel is awesome. The Wi-Fi is free throughout the complex and very fast. I only had a brief problem that my phone no longer connected, which I solved quickly. That's why 5 stars of mine!

Absolutely fabulous hotel (for a family break) I couldn't get over the food in the restaurant. It was such a high standard. And the Guinness was outstanding, and that's coming from a non Guinness drinker. Kids loved the pool. Good location too just 12 euro in a taxi to salthill. Would definitely recommend for a family trip.

Conveniently located near stops for bus from Dublin. Very nice facilities. Kids enjoyed the pool, buffet breakfast was top notch. Reasonable walking distance to some shopping. Pleasant staff.

The Connacht is very clean and efficiently run with rules for most things. For example you can only eat bar food in certain sections of the bar and areas closed off when the bar was packed. Our room was newly renovated with proper beds for 5 people. The room was small. The pool and leisure centre were very nice. The waiting staff were very attentive and friendly.

Stopped in for lunch. Popular place, it was nearly full. Good food and staff. Nice pub/restaurant. Well worth a visit.

I honestly could not recommend this hotel enough! Upon entry we were greatest with a smile and the staff were oh so helpful. The bar food was delicious and the drinks were lovely and reasonably priced! The room was immaculate and cleaned daily. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning to stay in Galway.

A beautiful hotel with friendly staff 10-15 min walk to the city centre only the breakfast is quite meager little choice and also not really something special.

Brilliant hotel for our family trip. Food is top class — breakfast lunch and dinner, without being silly prices. Our kids loved it and both cried leaving! The staff are 110% pleasant and helpful which was great too.

Had a meeting with a business associate in the lounge area and found the staff most friendly. We felt very comfortable and could carry out our business conversation in privacy. A lady at reception, Caroline, was most helpful.

Good rooms, comfortable and clean. Restaurant great food at a good price. Staff helpful and friendly. Cannot understand the need for security in bar or why so visible? Cannot understand why children must leave bar at 9 when they are residents and have eaten in restaurant. Overall enjoyed our stay and will come back.

The hotel was very nice and the location was great.

The hotel is huge maybe as well too, the thing that I liked most is the Spa area with Yacuzi, sauna and Turkish bath, there is also a gym, everything is available for free for those staying in the hotel. The location is pretty central. It has ample parking for those arriving by car, bus stops are close enough. I would go back to Galwey only for the SPA!

Very large hotel, lots of class, affordable price.

The room we checked into had trash all over and stains on the bed. The bed was made, so apparently housekeeping had been in and just failed. This place is a giant mega hotel and is a mega maze to find anything, including reception and parking. It is a very loud and busy place. They offer some nice amenities like childcare, fitness center with classes, a bar and restaurant on site. The location is basically sitting on a major highway outside of the good part of town surrounded by nothing of interest. The front desk staff was very pleasant and allowed me to cancel my remaining nights after I explained my problems with this location.

Nice comfortable hotel with good facilities and a 10 euro taxi ride from town. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable but bathroom could've had had more attention. Extraction fan continued to emit a noise throughout the night. Staff were professional, yet friendly. Food was of a high calibre for evening menu. Breakfast was as expected bit self service. Leisure facilities although I didn't use were included in the cost of room and are decent I believe. Front bar and lounge were welcoming and active, yet not intrusive. A positive experience however overall. I would stay here again and recommend it.

One of my favourite hotels in Ireland. The staff are so friendly and make such a big effort to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A fantastic gym which is 24hours a day, great pool, sauna. Steam room and jacuzzi. The hotel is only a 25 minute walk into the hub of Galway City, with a regular bus service outside the hotel. I would like to especially mention Margaret on reception who made check in so pleasant. Breakfast is buffet, and caters for all, five stars to the Connacht hotel, keep up the great work.

Clean room, big comfy bed. Standard facilities. Friendly staff. To improve rating I would recommend an early check in option (3.30 is quite late), greater assortment of hot drinks in the room and informing visitors before arrival to bring a swimming cap for the pool.

Great location and lovely rooms. We are in the apartment section. C wing. We were in D wing room 1122. However it was a bit noisy and stunk of cigarettes. The hotel staff were brilliant though. First tried some sir freshener. But then agreed to move us to another apartment. The porter moved all our luggage to ease the transfer. The apartments in c wing are much nicer. Bigger beds. And nicer layout. There is some wear and tear and I think the bathrooms could do with a little updating but overall impressed with the hotel. It has a 24hr gym with a good selection of equipments. Again some of the machines are showing their age but it's very busy and I think it may be open to locals. I would visit again.

Great place for all occasions. From a drink to a meal. We also had a couple of family functions and celebrations there. It's good value and the food is good.

Huge hotel, but very well organized. Spacious room is well equiped, quiet and quiet. Good reception but very impersonal considering the size.

Stayed here for my sister's hen party with a group of 16 girls. Although the hotel have a no hen policy they clearly had multiple stag and hen parties. We were given a lecture by a member of management on check in about their very strict noise and damage policy. He was very nice and polite to us and reasonable. The rooms are simple and clean. The breakfast was very nice and had a good selection. We went to the residents bar late, when we returned from the club. It was packed although you can't hear a peep from the foyer so the noise is very contained. Would stay here again. I would book no breakfast option if I stayed here again as it was over 11 online but just 8 on offer when you book in.

Gorgeous suite, very quiet and great friendly staff. There was a large group of us and we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. We all thought it was delicious. Pool was clean and a good temperature. I would definitely stay again.

It looks like a motel.
Dirty and also a little scruffy. The sink without mixers is acceptable in an old hotel, but this is not. It doesn't even have a central location.

Nice cosy place. We were family with kids… Hotel has lots for kids… Free face painting for the kid while we were having lunch was a good surprise… The swimming pool was really good. However they have some rooms with no win9 And was really claustrophobic… But on request staff changed it quickly… Just extra hassle of shifting all the luggage.

We had two nights of craic here on a stag brilliant buzz in the residents bar after a nite on the town.

The largest hotel in the West of Ireland. I've stayed here and our weekly BNI Oyster business group meets here every Wednesday morning. Friendly staff and great selection at breakfast.

We stayed here as part of a tour to Ireland, spending our last two days at this hotel during the Galway Oyster Festival. The facilities were very nice, we had a great walk out balcony that overlooked a greenbelt and a school yard. We enjoyed a wonderful last evening in the lobby bar, where they had a live band play and there was room for all the people in our group to gather round and enjoy the music. One strange note however, when walking down the main hallway, about half way down, you get hit with an immense burst of heat… There are heaters there, but there are also heaters elsewhere and that doesn't happen. Really, it's frickin hot in that hallway! Otherwise, great place!

Very good hotel at 20 minutes walk from the centre of Galway. It is true that it is very large but its 3 stars and ' worth. Very good breakfast and setting very jo l EIT relaxing.

Bad food, dirty rooms, but there are Yes alternatives.
