We had a great time at this hotel in Bukit Lawang! The location is excellent – right by the river and close to the jungle.

Genuinely unreal place and unreal service. The food is also absolutely amazing. We did the jungle trek and they provided us with one of the best humans we have ever met called Eddy. Highly recommend.

Pros: Very reasonably priced, nice outside space with table and chairs to watch the evening roll in, near the river and shops, not far from various activities, room is secure and has a fan, the bed

We had a very pleasant stay at this accommodation. The hosts and all of the staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. We did the 1 day jungle trek with our guide Eddie and his assistant Nofri.

Happened across Lawang Inn restaurant looking for some local flavours. Chicken Lawang and Ikan Terik with eggplant & anchovy both delicious & spiced to your liking.

Amazing little homestay run by the nicest family. They accept you in as family. Food was 10/10. Please get the semur curry. It’s exactly what you need after a few days trekking.

I had the best experience here with Ida.
I stayed here for three nights plus two night, three days on a trek in the jungle. We saw so many orangutans, baboons, Thomas monkeys and Gibbon monkeys.

Really nice accommodation. The room was spacious and the bed was very big and comfortable. It had mosquito nets that covered the whole bed comfortably. The bathroom was also spacious (no hot water).

We stayed here for one night in the newly renovated room on second floor. The room was clean and very comfortable.

During our month in Sumatra, we stayed here on two seperate occasions.

Had an amazing time staying in the bungalow there for 5 days. Very delightful host! We even saw the orangutangs from the stairs!

Rambai is a family run place with two cabins. We stayed in the tree house all the way up, and it was so much more than we expected!

We had the most amazing 3 days at Thomas Leaf Monkey Guesthouse. Brian and his team were so welcoming and helped us organise everything we needed for the jungle trek.

Great place to stay, nice cottage with air condition. Very nice staff. Guides Jipur and Bagus took us to jungle for 2 days and it was unforgettable trip.

This accommodation exceeds my wildest expectations completely. It offers a breathtaking view over the rice-fields, which truly is amazing.
