Bukit Lawang Hotels

Sam’s bungalow hôtel is a very good place to sleep at bukit lawang.
The host are very welcoming, and friendly.
We sang song with us that’s was incredible.

Loved our stay at Sam’s Bungalows! Super friendly staff, free breakfast right on the river in the morning (so cool to watch the monkeys while eating), and just an awesome Bukit Lawang vibe overall.

We had a fantastic time at Kupu Kupu and would truly recommend everyone to stay there when visiting Bukit Lawang.

We think it's the best Hotel in Bukit Lawang. The location is incredible, in front of the jungle, really quiet.
We also booked a jungle trekking.

The best experience! Did a 3 day trekking with Dino and Vandi. They took such good care of us. We saw a lot of monkeys and they really did their best to take us to the best spots.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the bathroom was very spacious as well.

Pros: Very reasonably priced, nice outside space with table and chairs to watch the evening roll in, near the river and shops, not far from various activities, room is secure and has a fan, the bed

This guest house is certainly a gem in the jungle right next to the Bohorok riverbend.

Great experience staying here, it’s a simple place, very clean and hospitable. I felt safe as a solo woman traveller and the food is great too. Run by a family of women! Support this local business.

We had a great time at this hotel in Bukit Lawang! The location is excellent – right by the river and close to the jungle.

Genuinely unreal place and unreal service. The food is also absolutely amazing. We did the jungle trek and they provided us with one of the best humans we have ever met called Eddy. Highly recommend.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but we chose to do the jungle trek with them and it was an absolutely amazing experience, with no disappointment at all.

Happened across Lawang Inn restaurant looking for some local flavours. Chicken Lawang and Ikan Terik with eggplant & anchovy both delicious & spiced to your liking.

Amazing little homestay run by the nicest family. They accept you in as family. Food was 10/10. Please get the semur curry. It’s exactly what you need after a few days trekking.

I had the best experience here with Ida.
I stayed here for three nights plus two night, three days on a trek in the jungle. We saw so many orangutans, baboons, Thomas monkeys and Gibbon monkeys.

Really nice accommodation. The room was spacious and the bed was very big and comfortable. It had mosquito nets that covered the whole bed comfortably. The bathroom was also spacious (no hot water).

We started off our journey on Sumatra in this homestay and it was the best start we could wish for! This family owned place is so cosy and the hosts are amazing and caring.

We love the atmosphere and the ambience. The view is just incredible, overlooking the town. Suria and his team is just great. I highly recommend the place.

Ideal place to stay if you want to do several days trekking in the National Park as it is just outside the entrance to the reserve.

Orangutan Bungalow is a perfect place to start a jungle trek — it really is just before the entry to the national park!

We stayed here for one night in the newly renovated room on second floor. The room was clean and very comfortable.
