We walked 5 minutes from Tugu Train station, this place is not reachable by car or motorbike. You need to walk at least 2 minutez. With 150K IDR AC room and breakfast for 2 people.

Great ambience. Affordable for backpacker. Include breakfast in any pax. Free flow tea/coffee.

The staff is nice, the rooms are tidy with both fan and ac. The reception and lobby is very artistic and sweet. Good Wi-Fi. I would have given 5 stars if it wasent for the minimal floor space beside the bed — had no room to make squatjumps.

Close yo maliohoro n masjid… good for muslim traveler.

This is the first time I travelled to Yogyakarta independently from Jakarta. I chose Setia Kawan Hostel because it is close to Yogyakarta Train Station. I relaxedly walked to this hostel from the station. It is in a small alley, but peaceful. You will never hear the sound of a motorbike as it is forbidden for motorbiker to ride his motorbike along the alley in where the hostel is located. This hostel is recommended for you who love doing your activities along Malioboro street as it is located very close to that street. The Wi-Fi is so strong that I really enjoyed my night time to browse on the internet. There is no TV in my room, but it is okay. I need internet. Not TV. AC works well, bathroom is clean, breakfast provided, as well as towel, liquid soap, toothbrush and toothpaste. Muslim can pray inside the room or at a mosque nearby, in the same alley. The staff is very helpul and polite. They even offer us vacation packages and rental motorbike. It is quite cheap for backpackers. Enjoy Setia Kawan Hostel. Enjoy Yogyakarta!

The staff was really helpfull and friendly, we try the prambanan and borobudur tour and it was nice. The room and the place has a lot of painting and artsy. Really close to the Tugu Station. About 5 minute walk. Delicious breakfast.

Nous avons louer une chambre deluxe qui inclus notre propre salle de bains et lavabos, l'air climatisé fonctionnait très bien et le service étais excellent. Les gens sont honnête et respectueux en plus d'être qualifier à nous aidez pour la réservation de tour et d'activité. Le seul problèmes est que la chambre de bain est très petite et que le lit n'est pas très confortable.

Best homestay in Yogjakarta! It is in the Sosrowijayan neighboorhood where you can experience the daily life of the local people. The place is a bit hidden and very peacefull. Walking distance from Jalan Malioboro, the main shopping street. The young owner Bedhot is an artist who has painted his colorfull work all over the place. He and his staff are the best, we have had some beautifull excursions to ceremonies at the sea and the Merapi vulcano. Bedhot Restaurant nearby is the best and cosiest restaurant for Indonesian en International food and drinks (menucard also in English)!

Nice place, unique room paintings, the staffs was friendly. I arrived early at the morning but the staff offered me to shower first for free. The cleanliness was alright, but the bathroom can be improved a bit.

Very good reception. In line with what is presented. Personal charming. I would highly recommend for the price, breakfast included in the price.

Nice clean rooms. Friendly atmosphere. Many of the rooms have interesting (sometimes kitsch) wall paintings.
