Stayed at Hotel Santika for a recent business trip to Tasikmalaya, and it proved to be a very solid choice. The location is prime, situated right on Jalan Yudanegara. It is highly convenient because the hotel is just a short walk away from various restaurants and coffee shops, making it easy to grab a quick meal or a coffee after work.
The room rates are affordable, and you get great value for the price. The staff also provided excellent service throughout the stay, being very attentive and welcoming. However, there is one downside to be aware of: the hotel is surrounded by several mosques. If you are a light sleeper, the early morning prayer calls will likely wake you up, so you might want to bring earplugs.
Overall, it is a very good pick. If you can handle the potential noise issue, the combination of a strategic location, friendly service, and budget-friendly pricing makes it a highly reliable base for a business trip in Tasikmalaya.

The hotel is good. However, communication is not very good. I booked 2 nights through Booking. Com. Then I spoke to the front desk to add a third night. I made sure they understood me. They confirmed that the third night was booked. On the second day, I got a call from the reception that I have to check out! I told them that I added a third night; but they insisted that it is only for two nights. Then they offered me another room for a much higher price. I don't know if the whole thing was a set up for me to pay more. Unfortunately, this disturbed my plans a lot.
