I went on vacation at the end of January 2025 with my family here. I stayed at a villa that has a heated pool. The facilities are quite complete, including a swimming pool, gym, spacious parking, easy access, a nearby Indomaret, and availability of Gojek/GoFood services, etc. Next to it, there’s a water park, and if we stay here, we get a discount on the entrance tickets. This villa gets fully booked very quickly, so you need to reserve a room well in advance.

Rooms great, big warm water pool, great area for kids, breakfast could be improve.

Cahaya Villa Garut is a fantastic choice for a getaway, offering reasonable prices, excellent.
Room quality, outstanding service, and, above all: an AMAZING and BREATHTAKING view.
+ The price is quite affordable compared to other options nearby (mid-high class one).
+ The rooms are excellent, with comfortable beds, spotless sheets, a spacious and well-maintained bathroom, and nice balcony with view.
In the villa, the bathroom includes a large shower area and a private pool, which can fit 3 to 4 people, all of which are in great condition. While the executive room has a bathtub, which is also impressive. No complaints here!
+ The staff are incredibly helpful and responsive to any requests, offering quick service. It truly enhances the experience!
+ The hotel offers a range of facilities, including a common swimming pool, minimart, restaurant, gym, and a fish pond with pedal boats (a. K. A. Bebek-bebekan).
+ The gym is well-equipped and decent, and there's staff available to assist guests. Nice!
++ The highlight of the stay is undeniably the spectacular view. The beautiful mountain scenery, especially during breakfast and from the common pool, which is top-notch and unforgettable.
— Since the common pool is open to the public, it can get crowded and packed at times, but it's still enjoyable overall.
— The water temperature in both the private villa pool and the common pool could be improved. Both pools are not as warm as expected, and having hotter water, especially.

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel with breakfast included. We did not stay on the villa only on the basic room. These are the positives and negatives. Positives:
— Really great view all around.
— Really good breakfast in terms of selection and taste and view.
— There is a decent gym.
— Nice warm pool.
— AC works perfectly (cold)
— Nice balcony with nice view.
Negatives:
— Check in took a long time (to be fair we arrived before the check in time at 13:50 but we still had to wait till 14:30 and asked 3 times to reception before we were let in)
— The room feels and looks old (old TV with antenna)
— TV antenna stopped working at some point probably due to weather but worked again afterwards.
— No soundproof. We had some noisy neighbours arrived on our second night and we could hear them outside very clearly.
— No laundry and no external laundry service nearby.
— I do not like the system of using vouchers to be able to get our breakfast (we always had to ask for the vouchers the day before)
— There were some renovation going on so during the afternoon it was very noisy with construction workers.
— During breakfast the omelette was never ready, you actually need to ask first before they cook it for you which I find odd. Usually some omelette are ready to be taken.
— Found a dead cockroach in the restaurant (on the floor)
All in all, I think it was a good experience and did not regret my stay specially because the view is great from the restaurant.

Actually this hotels is really nice and the room is comfortable. The bathroom is clean, and the scenery from the pool is amazing. But when I stayed, they have like an event on the 3rd floor. They have live music and it was so loud. I couldn't sleep since it's too noisy. It's already 10pm and they still playing with the band. I tried to complain to the front desk. They said the band should be stop around 10pm and told me that they will tell the band again to stop. But I wait until around 10.30pm for them to completely stop. I felt dissapointed since the hotel didnt respond my complain in a good way. When I call the front desk, the man answering my complain like in a rush. The man just ended the call immediately after I just stop talking without asking anything to me. The other staff was very helpful and friendly. But they way the receptionist handle the problem is really bad for me.

It's a nice villa hotel for staycation. It has premium hotel rooms, villa rooms and villa suites. The rooms are so comfy. The swimming pool has clean and warm water from hot springs. The complimentary breakfast was also very good. Overall it's a great choice for family staycation. Definitely recommend.

What a view! Love it! The pool water is warm so you can swim in it because it's not hot.

Very kid-friendly, comfortable for staycation especially when you’re a wfe person or what we say work from everywhere, so many activities you can do here, recommended to have a little runaway from work😂 and the staff is very friendly and good service👍🏻, food was good hope it could’ve been more good on the western cuisine. Indonesian cuisine on the other hand? very tasty + recommended.

Standard villa not worth the hype.
Room is small even the villa type. Need sound proofing due to sound from outside and next room can be hear clearly from inside the hotel. Room need thorough cleaning, some dirt at the corner.
The good thing only big bath tube (made from cement as the other hotel in the area) and the water is quite hot.
Breakfast is standard.

I ordered Bakso Aci, Seblak, and Pizza. It came so late (40 mins) and it didn't get hot. The pizza is ridiculous. They use instant pizza.
The drinks? They tasted OK and again they came so late. The drinks came when we ask to the waitress… Lame…
How many guests in resto? Less than 10 people! Very disappointed with their resto services…

I would say this is a good hotel with great view. You will get Guntur Mt view. The weather is no so cold especially evening and afternoon even near mountains. Hot water pool for adult and kids, no need to wear goggles. Worthed for money. A lot of traditional restaurants nearby. You can ride delman in the morning which they standby in front of hotel. Kids love this hotel and not spooky at all. Staff very friendly. Big car park. Talking about food, they should make sure the fruit is fresh, I saw a lot of fly at the fruit corner. Breakfast menu day 1 and 2 almost the same but taste nice. Room service food very nice. Drain in bathtub very slow. But the water very clean. Overall this hotel is worthed for staycation.

Nice hotel… not enough shower preassure… hot water just warm… not hot…

An Unexpected Gem in Garut.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cahaya Villa Hotel in Garut, a place I had no particular expectations for but ended up being pleasantly surprised. Here's a comprehensive review of my experience at the hotel.
Pros:
1. Smooth Booking: I made my reservation through Agoda, and I was pleasantly surprised by the competitive prices they offered, especially given the fantastic facilities the hotel provides.
2. Convenient Location: Situated just 30 minutes from the city, Cahaya Villa Hotel offers a tranquil setting, ideal for a peaceful staycation.
3. Family-Friendly: The property is not too vast, making it perfect for a family staycation, even if you're staying in different types of rooms or villas.
4. Clean and Well-Maintained: The villa I stayed in was spotless, and they diligently maintained the private pool in the bathroom. The hot water was consistently perfect. The pool is quite large, so it takes a 2-3 hours to fill it using the hot tap.
5. Public Pool: The public swimming pool's water was pleasantly warm, and the presence of a children's slide added an extra layer of enjoyment.
Cons:
1. Inefficient AC: The air conditioning in the room was not as cold as I had hoped for. It sometimes felt cooler outside at night. I had to request an extra key to ensure the AC stayed on throughout the day.

Location was good, as expected from tiktok, the view was mesmerizing, it was beautiful. My eyes were spoiled. 5 of 5.
Service, first impression wasn't good, the male receptionist gave no smile, not a welcoming tone in his words, wasn't a good impression, considering we just drove for 6 hours. But the other staffs, like the one in the cafe and restaurant (also in the morning breakfast) were super kind and sweet. The security teams were also sweet and we had a short but good laugh conversation.
Room was okay, looked clean but the room was so hot. We tried the air conditioning in full max 18C and max fan for an hour and it was still hot. We called the reception and the mechanic guy came and helped cleaning it and soon it got better.
No hand soap for washing hand in the bathroom so we had to improvise by using shower gel to wash our hands.
Gym was huge but somehow when we were there (4 pm) it said it was closed and when I confirmed with the reception, it's supposed to close at 6 pm.
All I can say the view made the stay worthy.
